Irish writer Eoghan Lyng is well known to wiki mods as someone who self edits repeatedly to promote his own work. He's also known to sockpuppet wiki discussion boards to make it seem as if he has supporters.
This is the current IP address he's hiding behind.

- This relatively new IP displays similar behavior related to Eoghan Lyng: 176.61.106.62. This one, also having been warned, seeked to restore the content from the diff above: [2]. Decent chance they're the same individual. This IP also removed content related to the website "We Are Cult", who Lyng apparently used for work for: [3].
- Some editors have been working overtime to fix these issues, but they're unfortunately quite persistent.

Citation spamming delayed discovery

The spammer added their book into numerous articles as "reference" but did not really add anything of substance to the article. This went undiscovered for close to 20 years. The relevance is in that many of their spam insertions remain. I became aware of this account while investigation Ostrom (talk · contribs · count) Graywalls (talk) 23:25, 25 September 2025 (UTC)
Tedi Ticic
[edit]Tedi Ticic has no established claim to notability and lacks reliable references. Even the Croatian Wikipedia page about him was deleted for not meeting notability criteria. The English Wikipedia page was later recreated by a UPE editor and marked as reviewed by the same sockpuppet group using the account Hmr, which has reportedly attempted to influence various AfDs on behalf of clients. Yet another UPE from a sold account
[edit]The Fanvue page appears to be another instance of undisclosed paid editing (UPE) by Hmr. The user currently holds NPP review rights, and the account’s long edit history stems from being sold by its original owner due to its high edit count. An older account with a long edit history, appears to have recently shifted editing patterns toward promotional activity, suggesting that the account may have been compromised, sold, or repurposed for paid editing. The user’s recent edits focus on creating or substantially modifying articles with a clear promotional tone, particularly about living individuals and corporate figures, without any disclosure of paid involvement.
