Notable Works?

Going off of WP:NOTE, I don't think any of the novels or works listed can be defined as being notable--on the right side bar. Also listing all the different degrees and colleges under Alma Mater seems a bit frivolous and makes the article read like a job application? Just some odd choices--anyone care to weigh in?
