My article does not meet credibility
[edit]Hello,
I've noticed that you have marked my article on Overwhelming by Jon Bellion as not meeting music credibility guidelines. Could you please explain why and how and what I could probably do to fix that to avoid the article getting deleted or anything? Thank you in advance.
Jibblesnark86 (talk) 17:45, 1 July 2025 (UTC)
- To show notability you need several sources which go in-depth about subject. Right now you only have one, and that's not from a reliable source (Headline Planet). Hope this helps. Onel5969 TT me 09:21, 3 July 2025 (UTC)
- I'm terribly sorry, but before I talk about the Headline Planet citation, there are multiple sources on the article, five to be exact. You might have misread, but that could just be me though.
- But about that citation from Headline Planet, that was the only source I could find to prove that the was sent to radio only, although I could remove since it is not a reliable source, but then it would likely be seen as misinformation.
- I hope you understand and give more advice about this issue. Should I remove the citation or not? Please let me know soon. Thanks in advance.
Edit: I saw you deleted my article without even seeing and/or answering my question on how to improve it. No advice and jumping to conclusions leads to great damage to my reputation here as an editor. Please answer my question before doing such things. Please answer ASAP so I can put the page back at least. Thanks. — Preceding unsigned comment added by Jibblesnark86 (talk • contribs) 04:53, 8 July 2025 (UTC)
Concerns over redirect of Binangonan de Lampon
[edit]Is it correct to forward/redirect "Binangonan de Lampon" search to Infanta, Quezon wiki page (https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Infanta,_Quezon)?
Binangonan de Lampon does not solely comprise of Infanta alone; Binangonan de Lampon comprises of Real, Infanta and General Nakar today. Although Real and General Nakar was created and separated; redirecting to Infanta, Quezon wiki page is a misinformation and masking historical information.
Also, Binangonan de Lampon was an important port during the Galleon Trade which is a continous research and studies. Binangonan de Lampon has significant historical reference that dated back back 16th century that should be explored. Mvleyn (talk) 00:18, 3 July 2025 (UTC)
- Regardless, the information in the stub is covered in the target. If you want to create a separate article, you need to provide several in-depth sources from independent, reliable sources. The stub you created had zero. Hope this helps. Onel5969 TT me 09:25, 3 July 2025 (UTC)
{{copyvio}} tag on Buchan Ness lighthouse
[edit]I removed the {{copyvio}} tag that you added to Buchan Ness lighthouse. The text in question was taken from an existing article, Boddam, Aberdeenshire. I added a comment to the history for Buchan Ness lighthouse stating that the article incudes text from Boddam, Aberdeenshire. LeapTorchGear (talk) 03:07, 3 July 2025 (UTC)

Seeking Advice on Article Redirect – Shah Newaz Khan Cju
[edit]Hello, and thank you very much for taking the time to review the article on Shah Newaz Khan Cju. I truly appreciate your edits and understand why the page was redirected to his film due to the current lack of in-depth coverage from reliable, independent sources.
I just wanted to kindly ask—if in the future I’m able to find additional references, would there be a way to restore the article? At the moment, I’m going through some personal issues and may not be able to work on this right away, but I do hope to revisit it when I have more time. There could be more sources, particularly those written in the local language.
If I do manage to gather better local sources later on, what would be the correct way to proceed? Would it be acceptable to undo the redirect from the 'Revision history', or should I take some other steps?
I’m still learning about how things work on Wikipedia, so I would be truly grateful for any guidance or advice you can offer.
Thank you once again for your time and guidance—wishing you a wonderful day ahead.
With respect, Expert Panda (talk) 14:39, 3 July 2025 (UTC)
- Sure. If at any point in the future enough in-depth coverage from independent sources can be found, you can always revert the redirect and add the sources. Onel5969 TT me 02:28, 5 July 2025 (UTC)

Regard of Haiqal Haqeemi page
[edit]Regard of Haiqal Haqeemi, I've put enough citation for him, what else do you want? Other footballer page with only 2 citation like Feroz Baharudin but never have been changed entire page to redirect like this. Please don't put me on the edge, please be fair atleast only put BPL or snub template so I can work on it. Thanks Adiib (talk) 07:01, 4 July 2025 (UTC)
- To show notability, you need several references which go in-depth about him, that are from independent, reliable sources. Right now, the article has none. All of your sourcing is either from primary sources, such as team or league sites, or unreliable sources, or are simple mentions of him. This article has been tagged for issues for over a month. - Not exactly, i'm used secondary sources for proving he played and signed for certain clubs. My sources is from fam.org.my and fam.cms.org.my. Both were reliable sources, where else should i get the information of? Also for his stats, i'm refer to malaysianfootballleague.com, also a reliable sources for all Malaysian clubs and players statistics in past few years. For his biograph, ofcourse it's from primary sources but please consider that I also put his information from soccerway, isn't soccerway one of a reliable sources? It's can be a secondary sources. Lastly, i'm trying to improve his article, in the future, Negeri Sembilan FC (his new club) surely gonna state more of his detail information in their website. Btw thanks for consider not to redirect his page and gave me sometimes to improve his page. Adiib (talk) 10:27, 6 July 2025 (UTC)
- All of those are reliable sources, but some are primary and some (e.g. soccerway) are only good to satisfy WP:VERIFY, not WP:GNG. Onel5969 TT me 10:30, 6 July 2025 (UTC)

Request for Page Review
[edit]Hi @Onel5969,
I hope you're well. I recently created a new article titled Isaac Murwanashyaka, and I believe it meets Wikipedia's guidelines for notability, neutrality, and reliable sourcing. Since you have significant experience with article reviews, I would greatly appreciate it if you could take a moment to look it over when you have the time. If there’s anything that needs improvement, I’m happy to make adjustments.
Thank you Vikingsam (talk) 09:04, 6 July 2025 (UTC)
Hi
[edit]Hi Onel5969, Thanks for your work here. I noticed that you redirected Frederick Attakumah to Ghana Chamber of Mines, citing lack of in-depth coverage to meet notability. However, I believe the subject meets the requirements under WP:GNG, as there’s significant coverage in reliable, independent sources — such as [1] [2]. I also saw that the article was initially tagged as an orphan, but since there were already relevant page that could link to it, I removed the tag per criteria for linking. I’d like to kindly request that the redirect be reconsidered, and the article restored to give room for further improvement. Best regards -- Robertjamal12 ~🔔 12:02, 7 July 2025 (UTC)
- Not sure what you're 9 and 10 refer to. If they are to the references #9 and #10 in the article, #9 is a dead link, but even if it weren't, it's a primary source, so would not go to notability. #10 is not in-depth about the subject either, simply having several quotes from him. Hope this helps. Onel5969 TT me 21:18, 8 July 2025 (UTC)
Wu manifold
[edit]Good day! Today I've gone back to my article about the Wu manifold since I've noted it down to need more sources and content after getting informed about your template on 4 April 2025, something I take serious. I've instead found it completely removed by you a few days later - without informing me on my talk page or making a proposal for deletion, which would have left me with a week to fix the issues. Instead, I was fully left in the dark. I'm honestly pretty shocked about this. I've always thought that working together and being transparent about it are core values here, only to now learn that any of my articles marked with a template could disappear at any given moment without me ever being notified about it. I'll nonetheless improve the article as you've requested and hope you'll not continue this behaviour in the future. Please inform people when planning to delete their work, especially on a voluntarily project like Wikipedia where I hope my time is respected as much as I respect that of others. With that being said, I still want to thank you for your work here! Samuel Adrian Antz (talk) 12:52, 8 July 2025 (UTC)
- @Onel5969 For an update, I've now reverted the removal of Wu manifold and expanded the article as planned. Next time, if you deem a rework to be urgent as you plan to delete the article without it, please just notify me. It'll then be fixed a lot sooner. Next in line, I'll now address your template for Kaluza–Klein–Riemann curvature tensor. Samuel Adrian Antz (talk) 20:24, 8 July 2025 (UTC)
- It was tagged for two weeks without improvement prior to it being redirected. You should have been notified on your watchlist. But you did a nice job on bringing it up to GNG standards. I'll leave the personal attacks to you. Look forward to seeing your improvements on the KKR article, another poorly sourced article. Onel5969 TT me 21:13, 8 July 2025 (UTC)
Re: Timothy Menakaya
[edit]Hi, I see you have marked the page Timothy Menakaya as reviewed but after that someone did a huge chunk of single edit to that page, I amazed by their contribution that they only edited 2 time and both on this page. Maybe someone waited for that page to be reviewed and then did that. If you could go through this and say that if this was the primary version would you marked that reviewed then.––kemel49(connect)(contri) 17:05, 9 July 2025 (UTC)

Message about Curro Independent Schools
[edit]Dear @Onel5969 Thanks for the deletion message. Please confirm that you have read the article and it's not a false flag on the filter system. This is not "Unambiguous advertising or promotion" and I will explain why. South Africa as a country is at pains to move past its apartheid past. The two very public discrimination issues that Curro has been accused of in this article is not promotional content. Its a blot on their copybook. Neither are private schools (in the South African context) supposed to be controlled by market forces. That's another blot. Their market success, in my context is not promotion either, but a critique of a market driven approach to education.
May I suggest you delegate this decision to speedy delete to a South African editor for a second opinion. And just a reminder, you forgot to put the speedy deletion tag at the top of the article. I can upload the screenshot to commons if you would like to see the omission. Thanks again for your editing. Derek J Moore (talk) 19:18, 9 July 2025 (UTC)
- Interesting. On my view, the tag is at the top of the page. The speedy decision is in the hands of the admins now. I don't disagree with your comments regarding S.A. (my nephew lived there for over a decade prior to his move to Vietnam), but that doesn't take away from the fact that, imho, the article in its current incarnation is quite promotional. You do a ton of great work, so I was sorry to do this, but I try to be as fair and even as possible in my patrol of new pages, regardless of the editor who created the article. Murder of Rebecca Landrith
[edit]I created Murder of Rebecca Landrith to which you recently added a tag questioning its notability. Perhaps it is not notable. Do we open it up for discussion about the notability? Wrensewn (talk) 19:58, 9 July 2025 (UTC)

Draft Articles
[edit]Hi there. I noticed that you have moved several of my articles as drafts for lack of more sources. It's unusual to move well-written articles into their draft phase when the topic is credible and at least one source has been provided. You have done this with several football club articles and mountain articles. I'm not sure if you are new to the Wikipedia editing thing but... such articles typically keep the 'more sources' needed template. Because if we go by your reasoning, half the articles on Austria's mountains should be moved to draft. Kj1595 (talk) 06:15, 10 July 2025 (UTC)
- You moved the KFF Kamza article to draft citing the topic lacks notability. That is a professional women's football club that competed in Albania's top league that you moved to draft? Please explain yourself? Kj1595 (talk) 06:23, 10 July 2025 (UTC)
- I happened across this because I've been noticing people are moving draft article to mainspace in violation of WP:DRAFTIFY. Note that moving to draftspace is should not be used for articles deemed not meeting notability guidelines - there seems to be some widespread misunderstanding about this, which is why I think glance at the guide might be a good idea for many. Thanks. Tduk (talk) 15:38, 10 July 2025 (UTC)

- I don't think you seem to be. Please explain why you moved the KFF Kamza article as draft? You are claiming it lacks notability because it doesn't have enough in-depth sources? That's not how notability works. If you continue disrupting well-written articles and moving them to draft, I'll have little choice but to report you to the Admin noticeboard. Placing articles as drafts is highly unusual and is used only as a last resort when an article lacks the proper structure, importance and/or any source whatsoever. Objection to Deletion Afry Wijoyo Articles
[edit]I believe this article should not be deleted, as Afry Wijoyo meets Wikipedia’s General Notability Guideline (WP:GNG), with coverage in independent, reliable sources such as The Star, New Straits Times, and Berita Harian. He has taken part in nationally recognized productions such as Pendatang (2023), Malaysia’s first crowdfunded feature film, which received broad media attention and public engagement.
Furthermore, several of his feature film and television projects are currently in development or post-production, showing that his career is ongoing and evolving. The article has also been tagged as an actor stub, inviting further expansion and collaborative improvement from other editors, rather than deletion.
Additional sources and improvements are being added to bring the article in line with Wikipedia standards. Thank you for your consideration Suraya Jailani (talk) 14:13, 12 July 2025 (UTC)

Re: Eric Johnson (sculptor)
[edit]I appreciate your editing the Eric Johnson article, but I have questions on some things.
The section on art critics is the main proof of notability. I used the title "criticism and commentary" because the phrase is well understood in literature and fine arts, and because it is used in the articles for other artists, such as Ron Linden. See, for example:
- Assessing Writing Feedback: Criticism, Commentary, and Critique
- https://foxprinteditorial.com/2024/01/18/assessing-writing-feedback-criticism-commentary-and-critique/
You changed it to "reception", but to many of us, that's the food you set out for visitors to your art exhibit.
Shortening the quotes from the art critics makes them well, shorter, but it also gives the reader less information and makes for a choppy result.
In the Roberta Carrasso quote, you changed the capitalization of the scientific terms. That will get you a better grade on your English exam, but it's not what she said; they are capitalized in the original. Can I change it back?
I corrected some typos under WP:COIADVICE Julian in LA (talk) 00:37, 13 July 2025 (UTC)

Hi Onel5969,
Thank you for your work here, very much appreciated. I believe this article meets the GNG and should be kept and improved, rather than deleted.
The redirect was disputed at 10:01 UTC, and by 10:32 UTC it was nominated for deletion with the rationale "Disputed redirect without improvement." However, I had already begun researching to improve the article and strengthen sourcing based on your concerns (as with other articles you’ve tagged that I’m working on).
I kindly ask that the deletion nomination be reconsidered and the article restored to allow room for further improvement. Thank you again for your efforts. Br-- Robertjamal12 ~🔔 11:25, 13 July 2025 (UTC)
- The discussion will continue over the next 7 days. If during that time you add sufficient in-depth sourcing so that they meet WP:GNG, then the result should be KEEP. Regarding the timing of the nomination, that goes to show the importance of using edit summaries. When you reverted the redirect, you gave no indication that you were working on improving it, or even planning to work on it. If you had, I wouldn't have nominated it at that time. Onel5969 TT me 13:04, 13 July 2025 (UTC)
- Thanks again for your response and for explaining the timing, I completely understand your point. Just to clarify, I mistakenly used rollback option which didn’t give me the chance to do that instead of the "undo" option to add an edit summary explaining. That was entirely my oversight, and I appreciate you pointing it out. While I believe the subject meets WP:GNG, I also acknowledge that the article can and should be further improved. I’ll continue looking through and strengthening the sourcing. Br Robertjamal12 ~🔔 13:28, 13 July 2025 (UTC)

[edit]Hi, please stop making changes related to the Susan Collins article, and discuss your proposed move(which has been reverted). A US Senator would seem to be the primary topic if there are other persons named Susan Collins. 331dot (talk) 10:45, 16 July 2025 (UTC)

Overwriting articles with redirects
[edit]Are there any policies or guidelines besides WP:BURDEN and (for pages that have already been patrolled) WP:GNG to recommend this as a general practice for articles in need of further citations? Since the outcome is effectively the same as a successful AfD (i.e., the disappearance of article history and talk discussions), I am concerned that this should not be done without at least a meaningful effort to discuss and gain consensus—particularly for articles that would be expected to survive an AfD.

Embedded links on the "Dan Jones bibliography" page
[edit]Hi, Onel5969
This is a question about your edits to the Dan Jones bibliography page. You removed a lot of links that did not conform to Wikipedia style guide's recommendation to avoid embedded links. Would citing them directly be a solution to this?
For example, my previous markup looked like this:
* October 9, 1843 - [https://welshsaints.byu.edu/Resource_Info.aspx?id=18744 Letter from Dan Jones]
Would this citation markup be a more appropriate way to format and cite the letter?
* October 9, 1843 - Letter from Dan Jones<ref>{{Cite web |title = 1843, Oct 9 - Letter from Dan Jones |last = Jones |first = Dan |author = <!--Not stated--> |author-link = Dan Jones (Mormon) |date = October 9, 1843 |website = The Welsh Saints Project |url = https://welshsaints.byu.edu/Resource_Info.aspx?id=18744 |publisher = Brigham Young University |access-date = July 20, 2025 }}</ref>

Speedy deletion nomination of Bananza (disambiguation)
[edit]
If this is the first article that you have created, you may want to read the guide to writing your first article.
You may want to consider using the Article Wizard to help you create articles.
A tag has been placed on Bananza (disambiguation) requesting that it be speedily deleted from Wikipedia. This has been done under section G14 of the criteria for speedy deletion, because it is:
- a disambiguation page with a title ending in "(disambiguation)" which lists only one extant Wikipedia page (i.e., there is a primary topic);
- a disambiguation page that lists zero extant Wikipedia pages, regardless of its title; or
- a redirect with a title ending in "(disambiguation)" whose target is neither a disambiguation page nor page that has a disambiguation-like function.
Under the criteria for speedy deletion, such pages may be deleted at any time. Please see the disambiguation page guidelines for more information.
If you think this page should not be deleted for this reason you may contest the nomination by visiting the page and removing the speedy deletion tag. Shhhnotsoloud (talk) 20:49, 22 July 2025 (UTC)

Gradski stadion Pancevo
[edit]Hi, thank you for your contribution for Pančevo City Stadium article. Far as I can see one of your concern is notability of that Stadium. I think that answer for that concern is Google. Another concern of yours is verifiability, Pančevo gradi stadion kapaciteta 5.000 mesta - B92 sport B92 is official Serbian TV and news source, another one is srbijasport.net - FK Dinamo 1945 - Pančevo - ID card which is one of primary sport oriented internet newspaper in Serbia, you have there all sports, soccer, tenis, basketball .... from Serbia and history and news combine. I can not give, so far, any other source because there is no book about that stadion. If this is not enough can you please suggest something what can help me to made article satisfactory. I saw a few weeks ago that you had my article for "Overwhelming" by Jon Bellion without even seeing and/or answering my question on how to improve it, refer to "My article does not meet credibility" on this talk page. No advice and jumping to conclusions leads to great damage to my reputation here as an editor, and this type of behavior can make every editor of every level turn against you. Please at least answer my question before doing such things. Please answer ASAP so I can put the page back at least, new and improved, if I'm able to. - Sorry, but I did answer you, "To show notability you need several sources which go in-depth about subject. Right now you only have one, and that's not from a reliable source (Headline Planet). Hope this helps." You simply did not like the answer. Please read the guidelines for WP:GNG. [edit]Dear Onel5969, You deleted the article, Shamsuddin Faridi Desai, due to your lack of knowledge of the subject. Shamsuddin was a master Rudra Veena player and was recorded by the prestigious music label, India Archive Music. Maybe you should research Shamsuddin, before deleting an important article. Your deleting that article is robbing valuable knowledge for seekers of Rudra Veena knowledge. If you will not restore that article, who can I go to, above you, that will restore it? WWF
[edit]Hello there. I sent you a reply on Wikipedia:Redirects for discussion/Log/2025 August 6 regarding UK Rampage and WWF European Rampage which were removed by you for being poor sourced, which I wouldn't argue with. But I just want to state that probably UK Rampage (1992) and UK Rampage (1993) should also be removed/redirected for the exact same reasons.
One other thing I noticed is that a similar article existed in the past: Mayhem in Manchester which got removed by you in 2019 for the same reason (I mistakenly thought it was User talk:Rosguill#WWE but now notice it was you). The reason I notify you of this is because it looks like someone has put that whole removed article as its own section on the article WWE in the United Kingdom, which is wrong and it is still completely unsourced. I can remove it sure but I fear someone else may be thinking of it as vandalism so therefore am letting you know of it. Hbkid2 (talk) 23:38, 12 August 2025 (UTC)

[edit]I believe these sources can demonstrate the notability of the topic, please check, thank you.[4]([5])[6][7][8][9][10] Newbamboo (talk) 12:00, 13 August 2025 (UTC)
- There was nothing special for Onel5969 to do after his blanking-and-redirecting had been contested other than to mark the article as reviewed in his capacity as a new page reviewer, which isn't reasonable to expect of him who had placed a notability tag (generally a contraindication for an NPP "pass"). However, I think a bit differently from Onel5969 on this topic, and I am also a new page reviewer, and I have marked the article as reviewed. I have left a comment on the talk page. The draft that was the same as this article, that you had sumbitted for an AfC review did not and could not get an AfC pass, since the article had gone live in the meantime; this caused the draft to simply be redirected to the article. This is unimportant, as AfC outcomes are non-binding, and you are a capable and reasonably established editor with an editorial mind of your own, and you do not particularly benefit from AfC. There is a potential for an AfD now, which is normal. A DRV is running but it is also unimportant as the article now being live makes it moot. Thank you for your solid-looking work, regardless of any future outcome. —Alalch E. 14:13, 13 August 2025 (UTC)
It would be nice to fact-check before an accusation
[edit]Hello. I write as a subject of an article for the creation of which you have accused me of paying someone. This is almost slanderous and I would have expected an experienced editor such as yourself to have looked for evidence first. I refer to the article on "Joydeep Mitra." I came to know of this article earlier this year when a colleague complimented me on it. I was pleased but not surprised because there are others with relatively fewer accomplishments that are featured on Wikipedia. I do not know the person who created it. I have certainly never paid anyone to create it. Recently a friend pointed out that there is a notice on my page that I may have paid someone to create it. I find this irresponsible.
As far as the contents are concerned, it is all compiled from publicly available information, so the editor who created it seems to have been reasonably thorough. There is no fiction or embellishment here. It is a little out of date, but that cannot be held against the editor. I am not familiar with the environment so I do not know if there is anything here that does not comply with Wikipedia's requirements.
Since you appear to have edited numerous articles, I am assuming your intent was not malicious. May I enlist your help in rendering the article compliant? I can provide any information you need. I do not think it will be appropriate for me to make any changes in this case.
Thanks.
Joydeep Mitra (You can find information about me at www.egr.msu.edu/~mitraj. You will find an email address there at which you can correspond with any discussion. I say this because the platform does not allow me to provide an email address.) 217.180.218.149 (talk) 03:55, 15 August 2025 (UTC)
- Sorry, never accused you of anything. Onel5969 TT me 15:48, 16 August 2025 (UTC)
- Would you help with what it takes to remove the note that I may have paid someone? It does sound like an accusation of bribery. 217.180.218.149 (talk) 17:51, 19 August 2025 (UTC)
- The creator of the article needs to follow the instructions at either WP:COI or WP:UPE, whichever is appropriate. Onel5969 TT me 00:09, 20 August 2025 (UTC)
- But Joydeep Mitra is saying that he has no connection with the user who made the article about him so there is no COI for the user to declare. And he is right that the template makes it look as though Mitra bribed someone - it's quite a strong accusation to make. What was your reason for tagging it as COI? Lijil (talk) 19:39, 23 August 2025 (UTC)
- Because there is a clear indication that the article creator has some connection to the subject. Also, it is irrelevant what Joydeep Mitra has to say about this issue. There are other ways UPE or COI could exist. As I said before, the article creator has to address the tag. Onel5969 TT me 20:57, 23 August 2025 (UTC)
- What is the clear indication of COI? You didn't write anything on the article's talk page or on the user's talk page? Lijil (talk) 20:47, 24 August 2025 (UTC)
- Don't have to. Not going to publicize what reviewers look for so that UPE and COI editors can take evasive action. But trust me, I only tag the most blatant examples. But can I ask you what your interest is in the article? Onel5969 TT me 20:50, 24 August 2025 (UTC)
- I was on your talk page for some other message (can't remember how I got here, from some discussion somewhere I think) and saw this and thought it seemed problematic - I mean if anyone can put a COI template on a BLP without giving a reason it can very easily be weaponised. My understanding is that you shouldn't put a template on an article without leaving a message on the Talk page. And in AfC if we put a COI thing on it we generally explain why either on the talk page or the COI user's talk page - I've not seen accusations made without any reason given. And it's a serious accusation to make if not true, because it really does tarnish the reputation of the person the article is about, which seems to be WP:BLPGOSSIP. And we are supposed to assume good faith. I don't have any relationship to Joydeep Mitra other than that I am also an academic and am familiar with BLPs for academics. Joydeep Mitra's article might look like he's borderline notable except he is an IEEE fellow so he's notable per criteria 3 in WP:PROF. I can't see anything particularly problematic in the article - so what is the point in the COI template? Isn't it better to put a message on the USER's talk page rather than on the article about a possibly innocent real person? Lijil (talk) 13:21, 25 August 2025 (UTC)
- It's there until the article creator deals with the issue. Has nothing to do with the notability. The article itself is slightly promotional, with things like having an Awards and honors section for a couple of minor awards, and "Service to the community" section. And no, it's better to have it on the article, where every reader should know that there is the potential that this was written by a UPE/COI editor. The tag is no reflection on the article's subject. Onel5969 TT me 15:28, 25 August 2025 (UTC)
- But it's an unsourced claim on a BLP that a living person broke Wikipedia rules. Lijil (talk) 17:02, 25 August 2025 (UTC)

- Don't have to. Not going to publicize what reviewers look for so that UPE and COI editors can take evasive action. But trust me, I only tag the most blatant examples. But can I ask you what your interest is in the article? Onel5969 TT me 20:50, 24 August 2025 (UTC)
- What is the clear indication of COI? You didn't write anything on the article's talk page or on the user's talk page? Lijil (talk) 20:47, 24 August 2025 (UTC)
- The creator of the article needs to follow the instructions at either WP:COI or WP:UPE, whichever is appropriate. Onel5969 TT me 00:09, 20 August 2025 (UTC)
- Would you help with what it takes to remove the note that I may have paid someone? It does sound like an accusation of bribery. 217.180.218.149 (talk) 17:51, 19 August 2025 (UTC)

[edit]Hi Clearfrienda, I see that since a while there is a message (This article may have been created or edited in return for undisclosed payments, a violation of Wikipedia's terms of use. It may require cleanup to comply with Wikipedia's content policies, particularly neutral point of view. (August 2021) on the page of Boris Milev (https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Boris_Milev). Please can you help me and tell me what should be done to modify the page or delete this message? Thats all that I wrote to you. Thanks in advance, André Amilev (talk) 14:14, 15 August 2025 (UTC)
- Really, nothing can be done until an uninvolved editor edits the article to remove any NPOV or unencyclopedic content. What you should have done was gone through the WP:AFC process. And you should not edit the article anymore. Onel5969 TT me 15:47, 16 August 2025 (UTC)
- Hello Onel5969, I have found an uninvolved editor who has removed the paragraph you added in 2021. I see that you have again added your paragraph. Can you explain on what evidence you think that "This article may have been created or edited in return for undisclosed payments"? Thanks in advance, Amilev Amilev (talk) 11:05, 26 August 2025 (UTC)
Christian Mba
[edit]Hi Onel5969, I request the restoration of the Wikipedia article on Christian Mba, as the player now meets one of the notability criteria — specifically, his debut in a professional league, in this case the Ukrainian Premier League. ManiacOfSport (talk) 16:51, 15 August 2025 (UTC)
- Hi. Good luck to you, but please be aware that WP:NFOOTY has been deprecated, and simply playing in a professional league no longer meets notability requirements. Each player must pass WP:GNG. Onel5969 TT me 15:44, 16 August 2025 (UTC)
Deletion of a page even though it complies with Wikipedia rules
[edit]Hello, 5 days ago you deleted my Gameloft Montreal page, claiming that there were not enough sources. I gave 20 sources and I can give many more. Gameloft Montreal already has a page on the French Wikipedia, it is a major and historic studio in Canada and the biggest Gameloft studio, it clearly deserves an English Wikipedia page, since Canada is a bilingual country. My English Gameloft Montreal page respected all Wikipedia rules. I therefore ask you to cancel your deletion, and I can provide other sources in addition if you wish. Royge 12 (talk) 15:14, 16 August 2025 (UTC)
- A few things, first, no one has a "page" on WP. I suggest you read WP:OWN. Second, none of your sources were in-depth coverage from independent, reliable sources, therefore the article did not pass WP:SIGCOV. Third, no subject "deserves" a page. Onel5969 TT me 15:43, 16 August 2025 (UTC)
Following abusive deletion concerning Gameloft Montreal
[edit]False, my sources are numerous and independent, and I can add many more (see end of this comment). Gameloft Montreal is a major studio, the largest mobile studio in Canada, and even smaller historical studios, ten times less publicized, have their own Wikipedia pages. I request that you cancel the deletion; otherwise, I will have to take the necessary steps to report it. The same sources were used to create the French Wikipedia page of Gameloft Montreal, covering 2000–2024, with independent French media (notably the major Le Figaro), Canadian media (La Presse, Le Journal du Québec, Écran Partagé), and recognized professional sites (Mobygames). Gameloft Montreal has dozens of independent articles and has made dozens of games, some played by hundreds of millions of people (Dungeon Hunter 5, Asphalt, Gangstar Vegas, etc.). It is absurd to block the creation of a page for such a major and historic studio, which already has a page on French Wikipedia using the same sources. To further support my case, here are some additional references:

Question
[edit]Hello @Onel5969! Thanks for reviewing my pages, I appreciate it! But, I have been looking at my reviewed articles recently and I see that they do not appear in the search engine. Do you know anything about this issue? Thanks. Victor Ningthemcha (talk) 10:26, 18 August 2025 (UTC)
- Hi. Could you give me some examples? Onel5969 TT me 10:29, 18 August 2025 (UTC)
- King Sentreng, Rajkumar Madhubir, Loitongba, etc. Victor Ningthemcha (talk) 10:30, 18 August 2025 (UTC)
- Not sure why Sentreng doesn't index, Madhubir has not been reviewed yet, so won't appear in the engine, and Loitongba was just reviewed yesterday, so it might take a day or two to show up in search engines. I don't really do anything in the realm of the programming stuff on WP, so you might want to ask your question at WP:TEAHOUSE. Keep up the good work. Onel5969 TT me 10:35, 18 August 2025 (UTC)

- Sure. A single independent reference fails to pass WP:SIGCOV, as was already explained in the edit summary. Onel5969 TT me 09:07, 19 August 2025 (UTC)
- OK, thanks for the feedback. In the future, please mark such pages with the notability tag, as you have now done, rather than blank the page altogether and leaving a redirect. It would be appreciated. Assadzadeh (talk) 14:08, 19 August 2025 (UTC)
- There had been a maintenance tag on the article, which you removed. You should have replaced it with a notability tag at that time, as it clearly did not meet WP:GNG. And please be aware that if it doesn't have enough sourcing to pass WP:GNG, it will most likely be redirected again. Onel5969 TT me 15:55, 19 August 2025 (UTC)
- I did not see a maintenance tag when I started editing the article. After I realized that you had created the redirect, I reverted my edits and yours to the previous version and started editing from there. So, would you please clarify what maintenance tag you are referring to? Assadzadeh (talk) 16:13, 19 August 2025 (UTC)
- Check the history. Onel5969 TT me 16:15, 19 August 2025 (UTC)
- If you are referring to the "unreferenced" tag, it was removed when a reference was added. As such, it would not have been needed any longer.
- What happened is that when I saw the redirect, I assumed that an article had never been created (my mistake) and therefore started creating one. It wasn't until I looked at the edit history several hours later (also my mistake) that I realized an article had been created, but then blanked out and replaced by a redirect. Had you added a maintenance tag instead, it would have been obvious what the article's deficiencies were and would have allowed myself or other editors to address them. Assadzadeh (talk) 16:38, 19 August 2025 (UTC)
- And if you had provided several references with significant coverage this would all have been a moot point. Onel5969 TT me 00:11, 20 August 2025 (UTC)

Speedy deletion declined: Wajid Khan (artist)
[edit]Hi there, and thanks for all your help with NPP! I wanted to let you know that I have declined your G4 speedy deletion nomination of Wajid Khan (artist) because I did not find the article to be sufficiently similar to the one deleted. One major issue brought up in the previous deletion discussion was that the article was highly promotional and needed a fundamental rewrite. The current article appears to have less promotional language, is organized differently, and uses some different sources (though none newer). If you would like another admin to take a look and provide their opinion, I'm totally OK with that as this one felt more like a judgment call than other G4s I've actioned. Let me know what you think. :) Significa liberdade (she/her) (talk) 12:55, 19 August 2025 (UTC)
- No, that's cool. I can't see deleted versions, and so if I come across an article which has been AfD'd, and there are no new significant sources since the prior AfD, I'll typically G4 it so that an admin can have a look. Onel5969 TT me 15:59, 19 August 2025 (UTC)
Speedy deletion declined: Martin Rajna
[edit]Hi again! I wanted to let you know that I have declined your G12 speedy deletion nomination of Martin Rajna because the copyrighted text could be pruned from the article. Disruptive editing in mining-related articles
[edit] Hello. This is a message to let you know that one or more of your recent contributions did not appear to be constructive and have been reverted. Please take some time to familiarise yourself with our policies and guidelines. You can find information about these at our welcome page which also provides further information about contributing constructively to this encyclopedia. If you only meant to make test edits, please use your sandbox for that. If you think I made a mistake, or if you have any questions, you may leave a message on my talk page. Thank you. – Ingminatacam (talk) 05:11, 22 August 2025 (UTC)
- Please learn what WP:GNG entails. Primary sources do not count towards notability. You need several references which go in-depth about the subject, and are from independent, reliable sources. The articles you began do not have that, for the most part. Also, please be aware that calling something disruptive editing, when it is not, will get you into trouble. Onel5969 TT me 09:34, 22 August 2025 (UTC)
- I know very well what WP:GNG entails. If you insist in this unhelpful targeting of articles that pass WP:GNG, using draftigy to by-pass ordinary deletion nomination I will have to bring this issue to the incident tab. Doing some good work in Wikipedia does not mean you are entitled to draftify en-masse others work under dubious grounds. Ingminatacam (talk) 17:28, 22 August 2025 (UTC)
- (talk page stalker) @Ingminatacam: you may want to read Wikipedia:Don't template the regulars --John B123 (talk) 19:16, 22 August 2025 (UTC)
- You obviously don't understand GNG if you think any of the articles I draftified comes even close to passing it. I don't draftify to bypass anything. I do it so that an article which may meet GNG, but doesn't in its current state, can be worked on, rather than having it deleted. Onel5969 TT me 19:54, 22 August 2025 (UTC)
Parker Institute for Cancer Immunotherapy
[edit]Wanted to inquire the copyvio citing https://www.wealthandsociety.com/short-list-of-projects/leader-profile?leader=62. The order of infringement seems to be incorrect and was curious how to resolve. Text in Parker Institute for Cancer Immunotherapy was copied directly from Sean_Parker#Parker_Institute_for_Cancer_Immunotherapy. The language in https://www.wealthandsociety.com/short-list-of-projects/leader-profile?leader=62 seems to be directly copied from Sean Parker. Thus, there should be no infringement.
All said, the impacted text is trivial and does not significantly impact the quality of the article. But this seems to be an incorrect application of copyvio. Was curious on your guidance.Chrisvanlang (talk) 13:45, 22 August 2025 (UTC)
- Okay, so the fact that it was copied from another WP article without attribution could be the issue. Please see Wikipedia:Copying within Wikipedia. I don't know if the off-site reference copied from WP, or vice versa. You might want to ask the admin who did the revdel. Onel5969 TT me 15:55, 22 August 2025 (UTC)

- Hi, thanks for the reply, regarding the first two links (Al Moutakhab & Awras), they are about the tournament, but that's not a problem, I added three links of El Watan, Capdz & Algeria Press Service. Hope that's allright for you. Best regards. --Fayçal.09 (talk) 10:36, 23 August 2025 (UTC)

- Not bothering me, just was busy. I think with the additional sources it barely squeaks over the GNG line. Your change to Hiromi Nishida
[edit]Could you please explain why you feel Hiromi Nishida should be a redirect to List of The Railway Series characters? There is no mention of Ms. Nishida on that page and Wikiblame can't find any in the page's history. As she is not a character in the Railway Series, there's no reason for any to be added in future.
WP:RDEL lists "If the redirect could plausibly be expanded into an article, and the target article contains virtually no information on the subject" as a reason to delete a redirect, but I don't understand why someone would want there to be a redirect like that in the first place.

The removed prose may be "better", but it is unsourced and fails our verification policy, thus it has been removed. Unreliable Sources on Thebausffs Article
[edit]Hi Onel. You added an unreliable sources tag to the Thebausffs article some months ago. Please let me know specifically what issues you see with the sourcing on that page. I hope we can work together to improve this page. Bausen Slaw (talk) 16:48, 31 August 2025 (UTC)
- Hi. X, YouTube, any other social media platforms aren't reliable. Neither is LoLesports. Hope this helps. Onel5969 TT me 17:54, 31 August 2025 (UTC)
- Xitter, Youtube, and other social media platforms generally fall under the same guidelines as self published sources so long as the account posting them can be verified as the entity they are claiming to be. There is no blanket rule that they aren't reliable. That being said, you are right that some of the sources were unsuitable as they were not published by the subject of the article and biography of living person articles require special scrutiny. I've removed the x.com links and 2nd party press releases. The Youtube citation, the Thebausffs Youtube page, is not referencing any self published material and is a primary source of the subscriber count of the channel. In fact, the Youtube source is automatically generated by the infobox Youtube template. It's not clear what issue you take with with LoLEsports as a source, so in the future please elaborate on that, but seeing as there are suitable third party sources, I've replaced it with one.
- I've updated the page a bit today to try to refine the sourcing and I've removed some other unsourced facts. Please let me know if the changes address your issues. Bausen Slaw (talk) 22:26, 31 August 2025 (UTC)
- Sorry, they are unreliable sources, and except in very rare cases. As per the guideline: "the source should normally not be used, and it should never be used for information about a living person (emphasis mine)". Onel5969 TT me 02:17, 1 September 2025 (UTC)

Speedy deletion nomination of Vishvaraj Jadeja (disambiguation)
[edit]
If this is the first article that you have created, you may want to read the guide to writing your first article.
You may want to consider using the Article Wizard to help you create articles.
A tag has been placed on Vishvaraj Jadeja (disambiguation) requesting that it be speedily deleted from Wikipedia. This has been done under section G14 of the criteria for speedy deletion, because it is:

Hi I see you just marked this article as reviewed. I was about to tag it for notability and relying on a single source (only one source substantiates the details of the battle). It looks like a candidate for draftifying or redirect to me. All the best Mccapra (talk) 01:13, 9 September 2025 (UTC)
- Hey... long time no speak. I was thinking the same thing, but while I couldn't access ref #2, I could the other two, and ref #1 goes pretty in-depth about it. And #3, while simply a paragraph, I felt, erring on the side of notability, and AFG on #2, that it would pass AfD. But I wouldn't get bent out of shape if someone draftified it. As always, a pleasure. Onel5969 TT me 01:19, 9 September 2025 (UTC)
I have removed the {{proposed deletion/dated}}
tag from Shamsuddin Faridi Desai, which you proposed for deletion. Deprod request can be found here. If you still think this article should be deleted, please do not add {{proposed deletion}}
back to the page. Instead, feel free to list it at Wikipedia:Articles for deletion. Thanks! -- Marchjuly (talk) 00:14, 11 September 2025 (UTC)
- Hi Onel5969. I'm just letting you know about this as a courtesy. Despite the wording of the above template, the deprod request was made by another user in accordance with WP:DEPROD. -- Marchjuly (talk) 00:14, 11 September 2025 (UTC)

- New articles are reviewed by folks over at New Page Patrol (NPP), of which I am one. It means that I looked at the article and checked it for a variety of issues. Finding none, I marked it as reviewed. This allows index engines to list it on search pages. Onel5969 TT me 01:08, 17 September 2025 (UTC)

Draft:Chef de Rang
[edit]Hi Onel5969; could you expand upon wby you believe Draft:Chef de Rang was written with the assistance of LLM? I ask because the editor who created it was unblocked in August 2024 based on their "pledge to never use AI again". -- Ponyobons mots 16:41, 16 September 2025 (UTC)
- Hi there. Long time no "talk". I freely admit that I am not that great at spotting AI. I went off of the tagging by Gnomingstuff, who tagged it for that a couple of weeks ago. Since there were no improvements since the tag was placed, I moved it to draft. Onel5969 TT me 01:10, 17 September 2025 (UTC)
- Less one smoking gun than a combination of things detailed here: the article title-like subject headers (in particular, this colon structure is pretty common, compare); negative parallelisms like
The role of Chef de Rang is not a final destination but a critical stepping stone toward senior management positions
; bolding patterns; general puffery. - It looks like I reviewed a lot of this user's other contributions as well, and stuff like this also pinged my radar (extremely AI-characteristic edit summary, "It's important to understand...", more general puffery). Dozens more examples; I think it's highly likely they're still using AI. Gnomingstuff (talk) 03:05, 17 September 2025 (UTC)
- Thank you for the detailed explanation, Gnomingstuff. I need to grow in my understanding of AI on WP, and this is very helpful. Onel5969 TT me 09:53, 17 September 2025 (UTC)

Patrol Joseph Nwobike
[edit]Hello @Onel5969, could you please take a look at the article Joseph Nwobike?
The page has been live for some time but is still unreviewed. I believe it meets Wikipedia’s notability and sourcing requirements, as it includes multiple independent reliable references. I would appreciate it if a reviewer could patrol and mark it accordingly.
Thank you for your time and assistance. Nnamdi93 (talk) 23:32, 16 September 2025 (UTC)

COI removal of Gregory Smirnov article
[edit]Hello, can you explain why you reverted my Gregory Smirnov article with the COI tag? Where is the COI? (With regard to the photo in the article, I did not take it myself, but only touched it up with permission of the owner; maybe I should not mark it as "own work," or remove it altogether, if this is confusing.) Archagon (talk) 00:58, 17 September 2025 (UTC)
- Who is the owner of the photo? Onel5969 TT me 01:12, 17 September 2025 (UTC)
- The photo came from the "SMIRNOV MUSIC SCHOOL" website, as archived here: https://web.archive.org/web/20160626040604im_/http://smirnovmusicschool.com/images/ce2af034d0616a66fb2de44624204fe8.jpg
- I reached out to Mr. Smirnov to ask permission to use the photo, since I could not find one in the public domain to use. Then I touched it up slightly for the article to correct the overexposure. I did not take the actual photo and probably bungled the citation, sorry. Archagon (talk) 06:18, 17 September 2025 (UTC)
- Then how do you know him? Onel5969 TT me 09:52, 17 September 2025 (UTC)
- As part of the Russian community in the SF Bay Area, I've known about (and attended concerts with) Slavyanka with Smirnov as conductor for decades and wanted to document my knowledge. Other than the photo citation, I'm not sure what other COI you are seeing? Archagon (talk) 16:22, 17 September 2025 (UTC)
- You still have not answered my question as to how you know him. Onel5969 TT me 16:51, 17 September 2025 (UTC)
- Like I said, I know him from attending Slavyanka and other choral performances when I was a preteen in the SF Bay Area, back when he was still conductor/maestro. He was a prominent figure in the music community there. (Note that I also wrote the article on Slavyanka.) Can you be specific as to why you think there is a COI? I assumed the accusation came from tagging the photo as my own work, but it seems you have some other concern I'm not privy to. Please explain? Archagon (talk) 06:26, 21 September 2025 (UTC)

Draft talk:Liffey Light Orchestra
[edit]Thank you for looking at this page which you moved back to drafts on the basis that I may have a possible conflict of interest. Re Review Article
[edit]Hello @Onel5969, could you please take a look at the article Nupur Joshi. This page is about a Hindi actress. I have attempted to write it based on information from several important sources. Does it still need some improvements? Because I have noticed that it has remained unreviewed even after several months. Perhaps this article appears to have been written by someone else before 2020, which you also reviewed. Neuroswasthya (talk) 06:47, 22 September 2025 (UTC)
