Information icon Hi, and thank you for your contributions to Wikipedia. It appears that you tried to give a page a different title by copying its content and pasting either the same content, or an edited version of it, into Imamo. This is known as a "cut-and-paste move", and it is undesirable because it splits the page history, which is legally required for attribution. Instead, the software used by Wikipedia has a feature that allows pages to be moved to a new title together with their edit history.

In most cases for registered users, once your account is four days old and has ten edits, you should be able to move an article yourself using the "Move" tab at the top of the page (the tab may be hidden in a dropdown menu for you). This both preserves the page history intact and automatically creates a redirect from the old title to the new. If you cannot perform a particular page move yourself this way (e.g. because a page already exists at the target title), please follow the instructions at requested moves to have it moved by someone else. Also, if there are any other pages that you moved by copying and pasting, even if it was a long time ago, please list them at Wikipedia:Requests for history merge. Thank you. @Gasybeaugosse2020, apologizes, seems as a clicked the wrong reasons. The correct reason is the following: It needs more sources to establish notability. It's notability is borderline yet, it does contain helpful prose, so I moved to the Draft space. If you contest this in any way, feel free to reply – I was hesitant to draft it so, I may have missed your view. If it seems appropriate, after your contest, I am willing to undo the drafting, and move it back to the main space — taking further action instead (i.e. tagging the article with maintenance tags instead). DCWC August update

We're a month into the 2025 Developing Countries WikiContest, with stiff competition at the top of the leaderboard already! Our current top five contestants are:

  1. Spookyaki (submissions) – 256 points, mostly from a handful of GAs about women's history in Latin America as well as the 1991 Haitian coup d'état.

hi I see from the items in your talk page that a lot of your creations are getting sent to draft by different reviewers. This means that those of us who are working to apply Wikipedia policies on verifiability and notability ar3 seeing common problems. In the case of Sahavoay the issue is that much of the article isn’t supported by any references at all. You provided three sources overall. Nothing supports the recognition section or much of the history section; clans and economy also lack inline references. Nobody reading the article can know whether this information is reliable or whether you’ve just made it up yourself. That’s the issue that needs to be resolved. Two weeks ago, the 2025 Developing Countries WikiContest came to a close! After three months of stiff competition at the top of the leaderboard, we have our winners. So we have lengthy discussions at Talk:Madagascar#History section and User talk:Kowal2701#Madagascar where I explained in-depth the issues with your additions, and we came to an agreement to start Colonisation of Madagascar, where I even suggested lots of best sources. Yet you come back to the article adding the same content with old unreliable sources and some of it uncited (to a featured article), which seems to be a case of WP:ICHY. That user Kowal dont want anything european in the history section of Madagascar. You can check my talk page and he said all works between from 1500 to mid 1950s like Grandidier or Deschamps arent unreliable sources because according to him those authors are colonial. Jumping to conclusions about where editors to a particular article come from is not supported by any data provided by Wikipedia. For all you know, they are contributed from the same town as you, or from a small town in Siberia. You have no way of knowing. Further, where they are from is of absolutely no relevance to whether they can edit any given article. It's a basic tenet of our policy on reliable sources that recent scholarly secondary sources are the best sources, and we should be using the highest quality sources available. No, Kowal2701's comment is correct. While it ultimately always depends on context, virtually no source published before the year 1900 is going to be considered reliable on its own for a Wikipedia claim. I don’t "hate French sources", per WP:NONENG, while foreign-language sources are allowed, English-language sources are preferred. Most editors can’t read French so can’t verify the text, myself included. The opposite is the case over at French Wikipedia. WP:GRLIT gives some good guidance on use of primary sources.
