Kumiko Takara moved to draftspace

[edit]

Thanks for your contributions to Kumiko Takara. Unfortunately, I do not think it is ready for publishing at this time because it needs more sources to establish notability and it consists of machine-generated text. I have converted your article to a draft which you can improve, undisturbed for a while.

Please see more information at Help:Unreviewed new page. When the article is ready for publication, please click on the "Submit the draft for review!" button at the top of the page OR move the page back. Children Will Listen (🐄 talk, 🫘 contribs) 14:18, 6 September 2025 (UTC)[reply]

Thank you for the feedback. I would like to emphasize that I have personally checked the magazines cited and also attended performances, so I am confident about the accuracy of the information. I will revise the draft soon to add stronger citations, shorten the prose, and bring it closer to Wikipedia’s style. F-notes (talk) 09:38, 11 September 2025 (UTC)[reply]

An excellent start to the article, and you have ONE really great source, but you need one or two more of the same quality to push this article to the point that it can be accepted. Remember that, like he source you already have, they should be independent secondary sources. I’m really looking forward to what you come up with because I want to learn a lot more about the band.

Ryuichi Yoshida draft

[edit]

Hey, you’ve been doing a great job on this article, and I would love to be able to approve it, but it’s not quite there yet. It needs one or two more independent secondary sources, talking directly about Yoshida, and, because it’s a biography of a living person, each claim made in the biography section needs to be directly sourced and have a line citation. Which means the first 3 paragraphs of the career section don’t currently comply.

Anyway, I hope you can get some more sources, because the article is super interesting, and I’d love to get it approved. I will check back in the draft in a week or two if it isn’t approved before then, and see how you’re doing.

Also, if you’re looking for other stuff to do, we could always use editors over on WikiProject Japan, there is always loads of work to do fixing stuff up / expanding stubs / adding the project link to pages which are missing them (musician and band pages often miss off the Japan tag). Practice doing edits on already existing articles will get you to the point where you can just directly make pages rather than going through the AfC process too 👍

Anyway, good luck and keep up the great work. Absurdum4242 (talk) 07:00, 13 September 2025 (UTC)[reply]

The comment the reviewer left was:
You’ve made a great start to the article, it has great bones… unfortunately the still is at enough sources which are reliable independent secondary sources able to demonstrate the notability of the subject. The Jazz Tokyo article for example is an excellent article, but because it’s written as an interview, it doesn’t count as a secondary source for establishing notability, but as a primary source. Likewise, the CD Journal article is excellent, and is both secondary and independent, but it doesn’t talk about Yoshida himself in enough depth. Yoshida feels like he is notable enough, so it’s just a matter of tracking down sources to prove this. Unfortunately until this is done, it won’t be possible to approve this article. Good luck, and keep up the good work, and hopefully we will have those sources soon 👍

While the article itself is really interesting and well written, we have a problem with the sources so far available. There need to be 2-3 sources which are reliable, independent, secondary sources, which write about the subject of the article in a sustained manner. Unfortunately, as far as I can tell, none of the current sources meet these criteria. It’s a real shame, because I would love to see this article go live. If you can find at least 2 solid sources, I will look back over the article in a week or so and check to see if it qualifies. Good luck and keep up the hard work 👍

Deletion discussion about Hiroaki Mizutani

[edit]

Hello F-notes, and thank you for your contributions to Wikipedia.

While your contributions are appreciated, I wanted to let you know that I've started a discussion about whether an article that you created, Hiroaki Mizutani, should be deleted, as I am not sure that it is suitable for inclusion in Wikipedia in its current form. Your comments are welcome at Wikipedia:Articles for deletion/Hiroaki Mizutani.

Deletion discussions usually run for seven days and are not votes. Our guide about effectively contributing to such discussions is worth a read. The most common issue in these discussions is notability, but it's not the only aspect that may be discussed; read the nomination and any other comments carefully before you contribute to the discussion. Last but not least, you are highly encouraged to continue improving the article; just be sure not to remove the tag about the deletion nomination from the top.

If you have any questions, please leave a comment here and prepend it with {{Re|Dionysodorus}}. And don't forget to sign your reply with ~~~~ . Thanks!
