Due to real-life events, I am physically not in a state to be able to rapidly edit like I have been doing in 2024 to February 2025. (I can still respond, so don't hesitate to start a conversation with me)

Wikipedia Research

[edit]

Hello I'm a student from LUISS university in Rome and I'm working on a presentation based on wikipedia's crowdsourcing process and one part of the work is to put myself in the shoes of a wikipedia contributor and find out some feeling he receives when editing or writing pages. The questions I would like to receive answers on are the following:

  1. What does the editor think and feel:
  2. What does the editor say and do:
  3. What does the editor hear and see (about its surroundings):
  4. What are his pains (what type of frustration does the user feel when contributing):
  5. What are his gains (what does make him feel good when contributing):

Active support is really needed so thanks in advance and have a great day Tartaluca (talk) 14:33, 11 November 2025 (UTC)[reply]

@Tartaluca, I recommend that you contribute to Wikipedia to see how it feels instead. Seems like someone else has already informed you about this, though. AlphaBetaGamma (Talk/report any mistakes here) 13:27, 16 November 2025 (UTC)[reply]

I'm sorry to say that I can't help you with emotions, and Wikipedia isn't a therapy. AlphaBetaGamma (Talk/report any mistakes here) 13:24, 16 November 2025 (UTC)[reply]

need help with Chronology of the Division of Hispaniola

[edit]

Hello. I am working on this article, trying to ensure it explains the island's history in a sequenced and organized manner. I saw that you placed a notification. I don't want the article to be deleted. What can I do to improve it? Risantana (talk) 03:18, 14 November 2025 (UTC)[reply]

Since you seem to be still working on the article, I recommend you do that in draftspace (where you can draft until you're finished, obviously). I did place the tag because of WP:AISIGNS. It is not a nomination for deletion. AlphaBetaGamma (Talk/report any mistakes here) 03:21, 14 November 2025 (UTC)[reply]
Thank You! Risantana (talk) 10:34, 14 November 2025 (UTC)[reply]

Hi @AlphaBetaGamma, I hope you had a great birthday mate(today is my bday ^_^).... so I need your assistance with this draft that I've been working on in the past two months although Im very green when it comes to creating draft and I fully understand the concerns raised on on the previous reviews relating to sourcing and the citing of the of the WP policy(BLP), and especially regarding reliable sources and the client is very wary about the multiple resubmissions and the rejections of the the draft and she doesn't understand why the draft doesn't mean the criteria to get it approved even after she provided all links(well some of them doesn't meet the BLP policy)so hence why I am right writing this message that if you could um assist me and help me improve the article further. thank you L33de2nd (talk) 07:37, 17 November 2025 (UTC)[reply]

Question from Nl14t62 (23:39, 17 November 2025)

[edit]

if a big page doesnt have many high quality sources, what do i do --Nl14t62 (talk) 23:39, 17 November 2025 (UTC)[reply]

Well, the ideal response is fixing the problem, by swapping it with a source of higher quality, but you're being a bit vague here! We are pretty strict on what sources are used in medical and WP:BLP articles (they have more risk of causing real-life damage), but you won't find Wikipedia managing to uphold the standard completely in most articles. One thing is that we have like a few thousand active editors, but we have around 8 million articles.
For your reference, this link should give you an example of some (not all) sources considered good/subpar. You're welcome to ask a follow-up question anytime. AlphaBetaGamma (Talk/report any mistakes here) 11:28, 18 November 2025 (UTC)[reply]
