Request for re-review of Draft:Hiroshi Funato
[edit]Hello, and thank you for your previous review.
I have updated the draft to address the earlier feedback: - corrected references and removed promotional tone - added verifiable sources about international performances (September 2025 Switzerland tour)
Could you kindly re-review it when possible?

Dear MediaKyle,
Thanks for reviewing this entry 2 months ago. The rejection note highlighted the initial submission's failure to satisfy the standards for inline citations. This has hopefully been remedied, with footnotes of sources added. I would appreciate if you could take another look at this. This article of Irene Virgolini, an established and notable Austrian physician, is based on her German Wikipedia entry which has been up for over ten years.
Thank you again in advance.

Re: Abusive submission of an article on 10 Aug 2025
[edit]Hi! I want to get in touch about an incident from a couple months ago that I just found out about: In which an IP editor submitted a draft article, along with a host of others (largely created by the editor themselves), to AfC—without regard to their readiness for submission. As the sole substantive contributor to one of the drafts submitted, I can't help but feel a little piqued that the draft I've put a fair bit of work into has been dragged into some sort of vandalism or LTA. The IP address was blocked two times, once for 31 hours, and once more for two weeks, which ended (I think) 4 September 2025. Since then, the (to all appearances) same person has made only a few more edits linked to that IP address, those being of dubious quality. I'm hoping to put you on your guard for submissions coming from this IP address that could necessitate procedures against abuse rather than earnest, good-faith engagement.
Also: Is it all right for me to remove the big, fat red "failed submission to AfC" notice box from the top of the draft page? It's of no use to me; and it may turn away any would-be contributors, who will be predisposed to think that the main author of the article so completely lacked judgment as to submit it: Whereas I'm well aware that the draft doesn't nearly meet the verifiability criterion for main space articles. But it's been just me working on it, thus far, and my busy schedule has meant that I've taken long breaks between small edits. The topic is so complex that to actually write a decent article on it would easily take me a year of dedicated, full-time work.
These are the relevant edits, for your convenience: Notice of failed submission to the IP editor, the entry in your personal AfC submission logs, failed submission notice at the top of the draft article. §§ LegFun §§ talk §§ 08:19, 19 October 2025 (UTC)
- Hi there, thanks for reaching out. I'm aware of this LTA - I don't think it's anything too sinister, I figured they were just trying to waste everyone's time. You can absolutely remove that big ugly decline notice, it's just getting in your way anyways. Usually what I do is suppress the AfC buttons in the draft template, with {{Draft article|noafc=yes}} but you don't need to have anything at all there if you don't want to. All the best, MediaKyle (talk) 10:55, 19 October 2025 (UTC)

- Making it easier to say thanks: Users on most wikis will now have the ability to thank a comment directly from the talk page it appears on. Before this change, thanking could only be done by visiting the revision history of the talk page.
- Account security: Improvements to account security and two-factor authentication (2FA) features were enabled across all wikis. Another part of the project is making 2FA generally available to all users. Along with editors with advanced privileges, such as administrators and bureaucrats, 40% of editors now have access to 2FA. You can check if you have access at Special:AccountSecurity.
- Abstract Wikipedia: The naming contest for the new Wikimedia project, known until now as Abstract Wikipedia, is ongoing. Voting is now open until November 3.
- Tech News: Read updates from Tech News week 42 and 43 including the community-submitted tasks that were resolved last week.
- Wikimedia apps: The Wikipedia iOS App launched an A/B/C test of improvements to the Tabbed browsing feature into Beta for select regions & languages. Called “More dynamic tabs”, the experiment adds user-requested improvements and introduces article recommendations within the tabs overview, showing “Did you know” or “Because you read” content depending on how many tabs are open.
- CampaignEvents extension: Campaignevents extension will be deployed to all remaining wikis during the week of 17 November 2025. The extension currently includes three features: Event Registration, Collaboration List, and Invitation List. For this rollout, Invitation List will not be enabled on Wikifunctions and MediaWiki unless requested by those communities.
- Event registration tool: Autoconfirmed users on small and medium wikis with the extension can now use Event Registration without the Event Organizer right. This feature lets organizers enable registration, manage participants, and lets users register with one click instead of signing event pages.

Draft Oaklands neighbourhood, greater Victoria a
[edit]Hi MediaKyle, thanks for your recent review of my webpage about the local neighbourhood I live in. Your comment that the article suggests it was created by an AI model I not correct. I have written the article with the help of other authors and we have not used AI model in any way.
Do you have some time to show me a few areas where I need to improve the content of my submission. I have followed the advice of the different wikipedia topics online, as well I have looked at similar neighbourhood content published in Wikipedia from the Victoria BC Canada area, as well as, cities/neighbourhoods farther afield. Any advice would be appreciated.
Thank you - harry 2001:569:BDF1:6500:19D8:3C81:DF4E:52FB (talk) 21:10, 29 October 2025 (UTC)
- Hello Harry, thanks for reaching out. I revisited your draft, and I must apologize for my erroneous decline. Reviewing the article history, I can see now that what I thought was an indicator of LLM usage was a regular human error. It is very common for articles generated by ChatGPT to contain a level one header at the top of the article ("Oaklands, Greater Victoria Area") along with bolded headers throughout the article, but now that I've checked I can see that's just the way the article came together. I will fix these formatting issues for you. Beyond that, the article is still largely unsourced, and in order to be accepted you will have to add citations for everything you've written. If you're unable to provide a source for some parts, and it's just stuff that you know from living there, unfortunately that will have to be removed as Wikipedia does not allow original research. I recommend you take a look at articles like Near South Side, Chicago or Bergen Beach, Brooklyn for inspiration - these are rated as "Good Articles" so they would represent the higher quality work on Wikipedia about neighbourhoods. Let me know if you have any questions. Cheers, MediaKyle (talk) 01:03, 30 October 2025 (UTC)
Can you tell us what keeps going wrong and help with the rewrite?
[edit]Hi there! I'm working on this Draft:Carepatron and it's been flagged for LLM use for a couple of times even if the content has been written organically. We tried narrowing it down to just facts to avoid promotional-sounding content, but it seems like it's causing us to be flagged as AI. I've tried to follow the guidelines as much as I can but this draft still keeps being rejected. May I ask for help on this? JamiefrewSF (talk) 00:11, 30 October 2025 (UTC)
- Hello JamiefrewSF, thanks for reaching out. I declined your draft because it displays several common indicators of LLM usage as outlined here. All that aside, after I saw your message I took a more careful look at your draft and did some research into Carepatron, and unfortunately I do not believe that this is a suitable topic at this time. Wikipedia has quirky rules regarding "notability", and topics such as these can very seldom meet them. I see Carepatron is a pretty new software product, and the coverage about it is very routine. For software to be "notable" by Wikipedia standards, the sources would have to express a certain level of significance in its field, and I'm not seeing that for Carepatron. The guidance on the notability of software may help clear things up for you a bit. I know it's not the answer you were hoping for, but I would recommend you look elsewhere to publish this information. All the best, MediaKyle (talk) 00:50, 30 October 2025 (UTC)

Speedy deletion declined: Don Campion
[edit]Hello, and thank you for your help at NPP! I wanted to let you know that I have declined your G11 speedy deletion nomination of Don Campion. Although the article has a promotional tone, it does not contain blatant advertising and does not need a fundamental rewrite. As such, it is not eligible for G11. If you disagree or have any additional questions, please let me know. Significa liberdade (she/her) (talk) 15:36, 31 October 2025 (UTC)
- I'm disappointed. The article includes such passages as The facility includes multiple hangars, a Part 145 maintenance repair station, a large avionics shop, a runway-side restaurant (“Jet Runway Café”), a spacious pilot terminal, and one of the largest on-site pilot shops in the world. Banyan provides comprehensive services such as heavy aircraft maintenance and interior modifications, structural repairs, turbine engine servicing, avionics upgrades, parts sales, aircraft acquisitions and sales, flight training, and charter operations. It also offers full FBO amenities (fueling, ground support, concierge services, rental cars, etc.) for owners, crew, and passengers. ... who's Don Campion again? Anyway, I'm slowly learning to live with the fact that we can't keep out all the CVs and advertisements. Hopefully someone will stubify it or something. Best, MediaKyle (talk) 15:45, 31 October 2025 (UTC)
- You are free to do remove the promotional content. Significa liberdade (she/her) (talk) 15:46, 31 October 2025 (UTC)
