Disambiguation link notification for August 16
[edit]Hi. Thank you for your recent edits. An automated process has detected that when you recently edited Tanur Assembly constituency, you added a link pointing to the disambiguation page Tanur. Such links are usually incorrect, since a disambiguation page is merely a list of unrelated topics with similar titles. (Read the FAQ • Join us at the DPL WikiProject.)

Recent edit reversion
[edit]In this edit here, I reverted some information that appears to be a violation of our copyright policy.
I provided a brief summary of the problem in the edit summary, which should be visible just below my name. You can also click on the "view history" tab in the article to see the recent history of the article. This should be an edit with my name, and a parenthetical comment explaining why your edit was reverted. If that information is not sufficient to explain the situation, please ask.
I do occasionally make mistakes. We get hundreds of reports of potential copyright violations every week, and sometimes there are false positives, for a variety of reasons. (Perhaps the material was moved from another Wikipedia article, or the material was properly licensed but the license information was not obvious, or the material is in the public domain but I didn't realize it was public domain, and there can be other situations generating a report to our Copy Patrol tool that turn out not to be actual copyright violations.) If you think my edit was mistaken, please politely let me know and I will investigate. S Philbrick(Talk) 12:49, 26 November 2023 (UTC)
List of most-viewed Instagram reels moved to draftspace
[edit]Thanks for your contributions to List of most-viewed Instagram reels. Unfortunately, I do not think it is ready for publishing at this time because it is unclear if any source establishes these as the absolute Top 5, one of the sources just discussed "some of the most-viewed" [1] rather than absolute Top 5. I have converted your article to a draft which you can improve, undisturbed for a while.
Please see more information at Help:Unreviewed new page. When the article is ready for publication, please click on the "Submit your draft for review!" button at the top of the page OR move the page back. MarioGom (talk) 10:13, 8 December 2023 (UTC)
- noted , This list includes name and video of most viewed Instagram Reels with its reference along with its direct video link. This reduces the possibility of changing it to draft and wants to change it in the main space Like YouTube Video Lists and Instagram Post Likes and Followers List currently Article Available category includes this, which is going to move to main space Spworld2 10:30, 8 December 2023 (UTC)

Politics of Kerala
[edit]After deletion of the "meme trolls in Kerala" thing, there appears to be at least two-editor support Freiland and me) for adding a section called something like "Social media" at Politics of Kerala that uses the better-quality ones of the sources you provided at AfD, to concisely and narrowly focus on use of social media (including but not overly dwelling on memes and trolling) by politicians and their supporters in Kerala. If you try to WP:COATRACK it into a "memes in Kerala are magically special" or "there's a unique trolling community in Kerala" story, you can expect it to be reverted. But if it sticks to just reporting the salient facts without elaboration and original research that paints and exaggeratory picture, then it would probably be useful. Some stuff to focus on: Kerala being somewhat behind-the-times until recently in this department, then over a fairly short span becoming very social-media active, especially in regards to citizen activism, and politicians themselves and their boosters using the Internet for campaigning, in lieu of street-corner rallies and paper leaflets. Plus two instances of governmental crack-down on socio-political trollers. That sort of stuff. Keep it on-topic and it will work well. — SMcCandlish ☏ ¢ 😼 00:59, 11 December 2023 (UTC)
- I don't see article creation as a warning sound, I think Wikipedia can be a source for the world to know the truth about social media special in Kerala. I would like to include a part Kerala Social Media Politics in "Politics in Kerala" which has a clear source in this world, Hope more wikipedia professors like you to follow and post mortem on the slightest doubt, thank you for your great well wish. --Owner of magical cat 🐈 (talk) 11:47, 11 December 2023 (UTC)

Speedy deletion nomination of Ayisha Abdul Basith
[edit]Hello Spworld2,
I wanted to let you know that I just tagged Ayisha Abdul Basith for deletion, because it seems to be copied from another source, probably infringing copyright.
If you feel that the article shouldn't be deleted and want more time to rewrite it in your own words, you can contest this deletion, but don't remove the speedy deletion tag from the top.
You can leave a note on my talk page if you have questions. Thanks!

Do not add album covers to BLP articles without a valid non-free use rationale. Most images fail to meet WP:NFCCP#1 because the subject is still alive, meaning a free equivalent could be created that would serve the same encyclopedic purpose. Jeraxmoira🐉 (talk) 11:16, 31 August 2024 (UTC)

The Real Kerala Story (article expansion)
[edit]Hello,
I hope you're doing well. I noticed that you’ve been working on the article titled "Draft:The Real Kerala Story." It has been moved out of the main space due to concerns about its encyclopedic value and importance.
The article currently seems more aligned with a focus on religious issues, but it may be more fitting to expand its scope and title to something like "Criticism of Kerala" or a similar approach that covers a broader context. As it stands, the article reads more like a personal essay, which is often a reason for rejection when requesting to move content to the main space.
You might find useful references in articles like Criticism of the United States government, Criticism of Israel, Anti-Indian sentiment, Anti-Filipino sentiment or more, which explore similar themes in a more balanced and comprehensive way.
Best of luck with your edits, and I appreciate your contributions to Wikipedia!--— MimsMENTOR talk 16:26, 22 December 2024 (UTC)

ITN/C
[edit]Hello Spworld2. Many thanks for adding sources to WP:ITN/C candidates as you did here. But please note that the "Updater" field in the nomination template is intended to be for editors who update the target article. Regards. Martinevans123 (talk) 12:25, 30 June 2025 (UTC)
- And if starting an ITN/C nomination, please don't just add random people as article creators like you did at Wikipedia:In the news/Candidates#Telangana chemical factory explosion. I imagine this was a copy/paste error, but please be more careful in future. Joseph2302 (talk) 14:28, 1 July 2025 (UTC)

Suburbs of Sharjarh
[edit]Hiya. You added Sajaa and Wadi Helo to the category 'Suburbs of Sharjah'. Sajaa is actually not a suburb of Sharjah but a settlement in its own right (although Sharjah's steady eastward march does mean it will one day be subsumed the way things are going!) and Wadi Helo is most definitely nowhere near Sharjah (although is a settlement of the Emirate). I thought I'd mention it rather than reverting! Muwaileh, you're bang on the money! Best Alexandermcnabb (talk) 06:46, 22 July 2025 (UTC)

Mansoor bin Mohammed Al Maktoum moved to draftspace
[edit]Thanks for your contributions to Mansoor bin Mohammed Al Maktoum. Unfortunately, I do not think it is ready for publishing at this time because it needs more sources to establish notability and it is promotional and reads like an advertisement. I have converted your article to a draft which you can improve, undisturbed for a while.

Unauthorised RFA
[edit]Hi. I noticed that you have created a Request for Adminship (RfA) page for me without my knowledge or consent. I want to make it explicitly clear that I did not authorize or request this nomination, nor do I have any intention of standing for adminship at this time. Per long-standing community expectations and RfA norms, no user should be nominated for adminship without their explicit consent (see: WP:RFA#Nomination).
Please refrain from creating or re-opening any such nomination unless I personally request it. I would also request that the current RfA be withdrawn or tagged for deletion immediately. Thilsebatti (talk) 10:23, 6 August 2025 (UTC)
- I suggested your name after seeing the experience. I don't know much about the withdrawal format in this. Please help if you can. Otherwise, I will have to ask other admins for help. Is there any problem with the nomination? Spworld2 (talk) 10:43, 6 August 2025 (UTC)
- You can add {{db-g7}} to the top of the page. And no, you should never create an RfA for someone without their prior agreement. Fram (talk) 10:49, 6 August 2025 (UTC)

Speedy deletion nomination of Category:University of Calicut Students' Union

A tag has been placed on Category:University of Calicut Students' Union indicating that it is currently empty, and is not a disambiguation category, a category redirect, under discussion at Categories for discussion, or a project category that by its nature may become empty on occasion. If it remains empty for seven days or more, it may be deleted under section C1 of the criteria for speedy deletion.
If you think this page should not be deleted for this reason you may contest the nomination by visiting the page and removing the speedy deletion tag. ✗plicit 14:10, 9 August 2025 (UTC)

Unblock request
[edit]
Spworld2 (block log • active blocks • global blocks • contribs • deleted contribs • filter log • creation log • change block settings • unblock • checkuser (log))
Request reason:
Unblock Request - Account 'Spworld2' Hello admins,
I am writing to appeal the block on my account, Spworld2. I understand the block was placed due to concerns about my editing behavior, specifically regarding alleged sockpuppetry. I would like to address the allegations and explain the situation from my perspective.
I sincerely apologize for the issues my edits have caused and any confusion that arose. I was not fully aware of all the policies, and this was an error of inexperience, not intent.
Here are the specific points I wish to clarify:
Editing in the Same Area as a Blocked Account: I understand that a previous blocked user (a "sock puppet") also edited articles in the Malabar region of Kerala India. It is true that my edits focus on similar topics, such as politics, people, political parties, and places in this region. However, this is due to my genuine interest in my home area, not a connection to any other account. I have no affiliation with any past accounts. The editing patterns and gaps in years between the edits of the other account and my own also support this.
Username Similarity: An allegation was made that my username Spworld2 is similar to a previous user with SP in their name. This is a misunderstanding. I chose my username without any knowledge of or intent to copy any other account. There is no connection between my account and any other account on Wikipedia.
Recreating a Previously Deleted Page: This was a significant misunderstanding on my part due to my lack of experience. I created a page that a sock puppet account had previously created and that was subsequently deleted. My standard editing practice is to search for a topic. If a page doesn't exist, I create it. In this case, I followed my usual method. I did see a deletion tag on the page, but I did not understand its full implications. Due to my inexperience with Wikipedia's policies, I did not know that recreating a previously deleted page, especially one deleted for policy violations, is against the rules. I thought that by finding a new, more notable title for the article, I could address the issue. I now understand this was a serious mistake.
I fully admit that my actions were in violation of Wikipedia's policies, specifically [mention specific policies like WP:SOCK, WP:GNG, or others if you know them. If not, just say "Wikipedia's policies"]. I have since spent a significant amount of time studying the core policies, including WP:Sockpuppetry, WP:No Original Research, and WP:Verifiability. I now understand the importance of following these guidelines to ensure the integrity of the encyclopedia.
If my account is unblocked, I promise to strictly adhere to all policies and guidelines. I am ready to cooperate with any and all investigations and am confident that my innocence will be proven. I simply want to contribute constructively to articles about my home region and improve Wikipedia.
Thank you for your time and consideration.
Sincerely, Spworld2 Spworld2 (talk) 06:24, 29 August 2025 (UTC)

We don't consider AI-generated appeals (100% likelihood per GPTZero). You are blocked, not AI, therefore you need to tell us why you think you should be unblocked. DoubleGrazing (talk) 08:49, 29 August 2025 (UTC)

If you make too many unconvincing or disruptive unblock requests, you may be prevented from editing this page until your block has expired. Do not remove this unblock review while you are blocked.

Request reason:
Sorry, above request was prepared using AI for formatting purposes. I used AI to create this request, and I admit my mistake.
I would like to state my reason for being unblocked here.
The first allegation against my 'Spworld2' account is that it is a sock puppet account.
The accusation is that my 'Spworld2 account and the alleged sock account have mutually edited a few articles. I mainly edit articles on politics, political parties, NGO organizations, political leaders, crime cases, events, transport, landmarks, and geography in Kerala, India, especially in the Malabar region. There are tens of thousands of Wiki editors in Kerala. In such a situation, where so many people are in the same zone, there will be articles that need to be re-edited, re-updated, or linked that someone else has already edited. Similarly, there will be people in the Kerala zone who are interested in the topics I have chosen (especially related to politics). This might be why the accusation of mutual editing has been made against me. However, when I checked, there is a gap of several years between the edit counts and the time of editing for my account and the alleged sock account.
Another allegation is that I re-created one or two pages that this sock account had previously created, but with a different title. I don't blame the editors who made this allegation, as it might seem suspicious to anyone.
However, the reality is that this is a continuation of the previous allegation and is also related to being in the same zone. My editing method is to first search if a policy-compliant, notable page exists on Wikipedia. If not, I edit it using the "create a new page" tag that appears below the search box. For the specific pages mentioned in this suspicious allegation, which were created and then deleted by the sock account years ago, I searched for the title as per my usual method. The pages didn't exist, but I did see a tag indicating that someone had created and deleted them before. Since I was unaware of the details, I found a suitable alternative title and created the pages to avoid taking a time-risk. This was a mistake due to my lack of knowledge, and I have already explained this error in the previous admin discussion.
Another accusation is the similarity in names: the two letters SP from the sock account's name are present in my account name, 'Spworld2'. This is an unfounded accusation.
I have no connection to this sock account whatsoever. It is not my account; these are all just allegations. Some of the allegations are a result of misunderstandings due to editing in the same geographic zone.
I have explained the maximum number of reasons for my unblock request here.
I am ready for any further investigation.
I believe the admins will consider my unblock request.
I thank the admins for giving me the opportunity to present my arguments.
Decline reason:
No. Absolutely not. Not to mention that any unblock request we could possibly accept would have to address the concerns brought up at WP:Administrators' noticeboard/IncidentArchive1196#RFA without my consent. The standard offer is open to you. asilvering (talk) 00:21, 31 August 2025 (UTC)

Request reason:
My apologies, I forgot to mention the WP:Administrators' noticeboard/IncidentArchive1196#RFA without my consent that the admin brought up above.
I kindly request that the admins who are checking this unblock request once again note the other reasons (my arguments and the allegations made against me) mentioned above.
Regarding the WP:Administrators' noticeboard/IncidentArchive1196#RFA without my consent, honestly, it happened because of my lack of knowledge. I have seen the editor I mentioned in the RFA in many AFD discussions. I believe they have shown good quality checking and page reviewing skills. I also thought they had the editing excellence to be nominated to an admin panel. This is where the issue began. I was not aware that I needed to ask for the editor's consent before nominating them. Immediately after the incident, the editor brought it up in the admin discussion RFA, and I presented my mistake in that discussion and also gave my explanation to the other admins who participated. That is where more allegations were raised against me. I repeat, it was due to my lack of knowledge.
I am also ready to accept The "standard offer" you have proposed. Furthermore, I am ready for any investigation to prove my innocence. The allegations made against me were due to a misunderstanding and my lack of knowledge. I do not wish to blame anyone.
I am ready to accept The Standard offer that you are offering.
Thank you for giving me the opportunity to present my case and for providing the 'Standard Offer' option

Decline reason:
Declining to start the standard offer: do not edit the English Wikipedia at all for at least six months -- no other accounts, no logged out editing. After at least six months, you can return and request an unblock. In the meantime, you are free to edit other Wikipedias, such as the Simple Wikipedia. - If you're taking the standard offer, you don't need to lodge an appeal, just take it and stop editing on en.wiki for a minimum of six months. Each time you edit, the countdown clock re-starts. --DoubleGrazing (talk) 12:12, 4 September 2025 (UTC)
