Request to review pending speedy deletion for The Dead Dance
[edit]Hi Explicit, could you please take a look at the pending speedy deletion request for The Dead Dance? We’re waiting for that redirect to be cleared so the draft can be moved back into mainspace once the song is released. Thanks in advance for your help! CHr0m4tiko0 (talk) 01:16, 3 September 2025 (UTC)
- @CHr0m4tiko0: Oh, the page histories between the two is a mess. I decided to move The Dead Dance to Dead Dance (song) to preserve the page history. It can be redirect once the draft is moved to mainspace. ✗plicit 01:42, 3 September 2025 (UTC)
File:Hefazat press release, 4 August 2025.jpg
[edit]Hi Explicit. Could you take a look at this File:Hefazat press release, 4 August 2025.jpg? It seems that it would need to be treated as non-free if it's not released under an acceptable free license. FWIW, I've got no idea what it says, but it seems to more of a case of prose than random text. -- Marchjuly (talk) 12:59, 3 September 2025 (UTC)
Orphaned non-free image File:Caribbean Bay logo.jpg

Request for Restoration of — Vusal Abdullazade
[edit]Explicit, dear administrator!
The Wikipedia articles about the athlete Vusal Abdullazade in Azerbaijani, Turkish, and Russian have been fully restored. The articles have been carefully edited, and all verifiable references have been added. The English version of the article will be developed to the same high standard as the others. In light of this, I kindly request the restoration of this article.
The athlete is officially recognized by the National Olympic Committee of the Republic of Azerbaijan (official web site: Az. NOC) and the Ministry of Youth and Sports.(official web site: Az. MYS
Deleting the article would violate the athlete’s rights. We believe this misunderstanding will be resolved. Thank you in advance.

Discussion notification concerning your speedy deletions
[edit]Hi there, at the NFL WikiProject (near the bottom of linked discussion), there has been a concern raised that a series of template/template talk speedy deletions you performed may be affecting project members' efforts with an ongoing template merge. Your response at the project discussion is requested. Regards, Left guide (talk) 15:13, 8 September 2025 (UTC)
- @Left guide: Thanks for the note, I'll look into this shortly. ✗plicit 23:35, 8 September 2025 (UTC)
- Hi again, at the NFL project, administrator Bagumba said that they have viewed the deleted page Template:Infobox NFL biography/doc, certified that it contains a great deal of information missing from the live merge target, and is thus asking for it to be restored. Can you please restore the page? Thanks. Left guide (talk) 00:49, 10 September 2025 (UTC)
- @Left guide:
Done, doc page restored. ✗plicit 01:35, 10 September 2025 (UTC)
- Thank you. :) Left guide (talk) 01:37, 10 September 2025 (UTC)

InfoVision
[edit]Hello. How similar is InfoVision please, to the version you deleted two months ago following AFD? Thanks. Wikishovel (talk) 22:03, 8 September 2025 (UTC)
- @Wikishovel: Hi, it was pretty much a duplicate of the article deleted at AFD, though of lower quality. I have deleted it in accordance with G4. ✗plicit 23:35, 8 September 2025 (UTC)
Film Poster Source Link
[edit]Hello! I actually wanted to know about a thing. It would be really great if you clear this confusion of mine.
For film posters, one needs to provide a link to the page from where the poster was taken, in the source section under the summary of a poster.
I came across a page (Khadaan), which uses a poster that doesn't provide a link from where it has been taken. Only the name of production house is present under the source.
So, shouldn't that poster be removed? (Since it can't be verified)
Thanks - BhikhariInformer (talk) 18:09, 9 September 2025 (UTC)
- @BhikhariInformer: Hi, you're correct that a source is needed even for film posters. I have tagged it as such, and it will be deleted in seven days if a source is not provided. You may remove the poster from the article if you feel that it is an appropriate action. ✗plicit 00:05, 10 September 2025 (UTC)
- Thanks a lot. - BhikhariInformer (talk) 01:42, 10 September 2025 (UTC)
Article - Two Still Lives in Free Fall
[edit]Please, undo the PROD for this article as I went through the entire article's History, and find no previously deleted by PROD. Thank you. Regards, JoeNMLC (talk) 23:02, 9 September 2025 (UTC)
- @JoeNMLC: It was previously deleted by PROD. Per WP:PROD#cite_note-8, "Any page deleted via this process and then recreated is not subject to speedy deletion under criterion G4, as recreation is a way of contesting the proposed deletion.". ✗plicit 00:05, 10 September 2025 (UTC)
- So if I understand this, the first PROD happened in 2008; then article was "recreated" in 2010; so that is why that PROD does not show up in History.
- Before doing any PROD, I do; 1.Check Talk for any prior deletion message. 2. Check article History for Prod. So now I should also, 3. On Talk, check View logs for this page.
- On Wikipedia I enjoy learning more, almost daily. Cheers! JoeNMLC (talk) 14:10, 10 September 2025 (UTC)
Shamsuddin Faridi Desai revisited
[edit]Dear Explicit, The article on Rudra Veena player, Shamsuddin Faridi Desai, was deleted due to the notability requirement. One of the Rudra Veena players that wikipedia deems notable enough for an article, is Bahauddin Dagar. I have contacted Bahauddin and I asked him if Shamsuddin Faridi Desai was notable enough for an article. He replied, "Of course he should have a wiki page. One of the handful of veena players then. Please ask the editor to listen to his recording of Makar records." Please restore the article Shamsuddin Faridi Desai. Vtranz (talk) 15:50, 10 September 2025 (UTC)
- @Vtranz:
Done – as a contested proposed deletion, the article has been restored upon request. ✗plicit 23:40, 10 September 2025 (UTC)
