Information icon Hello, and thank you for your contributions to Wikipedia. A page you created or have recently made significant changes to may not conform to some of Wikipedia's guidelines for pages, so it has been blanked and redirected. Three typical reasons for this are that: (1) the article's subject appears to fail our notability guidelines; (2) the article is unsourced; or (3) the sources used in the article are unreliable. The page's history is preserved and it is possible to restore the article: If you believe that this page should remain included on Wikipedia or that this action was taken in error, then you may revert the edit that blanked and redirected the page.
Wikipedia:Your first article has more information about creating articles, and you may also want to read our introduction page to learn more about contributing. Thank you.

heyyy, so I just saw your edit just now in Miss Asia Pacific International 2019 about 3 months ago, and hoping to realizing that you change (adding a name template with flag]] the country name on China to Hong Kong, and Hong Kong to China whereas Gansu (based on hometown section column) located in Northern China province. I just manually reverted your edit but without changing the flag on Hong Kong. Hope you check my message, thanks! Drcarrot.phd (talk) 10:27, 17 May 2025 (UTC)[reply]

Talk page banner for ghost town project at Walville, Washington

[edit]

Hey Bri!

Good to see you still doing the unthankful tasks you're constantly forced to do!

Noticed the reversion of the WP:GTS banner from Walville, Washington and though it seems a good fit, I think maybe the full reversion was due to the now-banned editor's efforts? Wasn't even aware of the project page so wondering if you'd be against me adding the banner back in?

Thanks!

OlympiaBuebird (talk) 15:05, 26 May 2025 (UTC)[reply]

You mean this revert of the long-term abuser? Yeah, we just undo their edits automatically per WP:DENY in the hope they get the clue they aren't wanted here and need to get a new hobby. Anyway, just put it back in. Shouldn't be a problem when the edit is made by a good-faith editor like you. ☆ Bri (talk) 15:23, 26 May 2025 (UTC)[reply]
Awesome, I'll go ahead an add it back in tomorrow (and on some other Lewis and Thurston county articles) when I have more time. Considering I have a hobby of denying my husband's incessant need for sports viewing, I understand. Thanks as always! OlympiaBuebird (talk) 17:01, 26 May 2025 (UTC)[reply]

Your draft article, Draft:Home grow

[edit]

Hello, Bri. It has been over six months since you last edited the Articles for Creation submission or draft page you started, "Home grow".

In accordance with our policy that Wikipedia is not for the indefinite hosting of material, the draft has been deleted. When you plan on working on it further and you wish to retrieve it, you can request its undeletion. An administrator will, in most cases, restore the submission so you can continue to work on it.

Thank you for your submission to Wikipedia, and happy editing. Liz Read! Talk! 21:02, 1 June 2025 (UTC)[reply]

I can't get the 2nd column of the table to increase its width. Can you do it? I'll write most remaining text off-line and give you a chance to fix my mess! Thanks for trying to copyedit plus. more on newsroom talk in a bit. Smallbones(smalltalk) 17:34, 8 June 2025 (UTC)[reply]

Looks about right to me now. You might need to adjust the zoom setting on your browser to get the layout you intended. The browser takes the column widths as a suggestion. ☆ Bri (talk) 17:52, 8 June 2025 (UTC)[reply]

See Louis (the 1970 version with the intro). Yes I'm a bit optimistic today! Maybe along the lines of "the dark sacred night". That would be a gasser! Smallbones(smalltalk) 20:26, 17 June 2025 (UTC)[reply]

Well, the news last night and today is very much a downer, so I'm not so optimistic now. I do want to get The Signpost published. Let me know if you find out anything. Smallbones(smalltalk) 19:36, 18 June 2025 (UTC)[reply]
I'm working unexpectedly over the holiday, amd won't have a breather until Sunday. Hope publication happens by then. ☆ Bri (talk) 15:12, 19 June 2025 (UTC)[reply]

Hi @Bri, I have attempted to clean up the Shriya Boppana article in reference to your COI. I understand your concerns with items in the Advocacy section being WP:PRIMARY sources, suggesting a lack of WP:SIGCOV. Would you mind checking the changes I have made so far? Apology

[edit]

Hi Bri. I'm sorry, I didn't mean to imply that you were pushing a POV by adding another Aaron Bandler article attributed to RealClearPolitics past the deadline last month. I should have just written more about the guy's history, but given that I'm not a regular Signpost contributor I didn't feel that I should mess around with it too much when at any moment the thing could be published. I hope that you'll forgive me for pointing out the lack of attribution for his articles in April and June (and January and February as it turns out), I guess I misunderstood the role you played at ITM, which I assumed was more one of selecting articles of note. Now that you know a bit more about him, would you be willing to attribute his articles in future? -- SashiRolls 🌿 · 🍥 08:55, 7 July 2025 (UTC)[reply]

Shamsuddin Faridi Desai

[edit]

Dear Bri, The article on Shamsuddin Faridi Desai was deleted due to Not enough in-depth coverage to show they pass WP:GNG. I believe that was a mistake, due to the fact that Shamsuddin recorded for the prestigious label, India Archive Music. That label only recorded the top Indian classical musicians. Please check it out and restore the article. Thank you. Vtranz (talk) 17:14, 16 July 2025 (UTC)[reply]

Hello Bri, I have been working to expand the article Duckabush River that you created two decades ago (one of your first I see). It's rare that I see the creators of stubs I pick up on are still as active as you are on Wikipedia! I personally have only been to the river once, but randomly decided that the article had potential for a significant expansion with a bit of research. I just nominated it for DYK, but do you have any interest in trying to collaborate towards making it a Good Article? ❯❯❯ Mccunicano☕️ 22:21, 21 July 2025 (UTC)[reply]

Any resourses apart from the manual of style for italics I just want additional help in the future on that

[edit]

Thanks for your edit on the article United States Naval Sea Cadets and letting me know would you mind providing me some information on italics apart from the MOS just so I can really know when and when not to do it and not make the mistake again cause I don't want to make it other editors job because my edit was wrong. Don't sweat it, we correct each other all the time and that's OK. What you're probably looking for is probably spelled out at MOS:NOITALIC which is sort of "negative guidance". Hey Bri!

My sincere thanks for your creation of the Bear Gulch Fire article. Staircase has been my home-away-from-home hiking site for as long as my bones can remember. I just couldn't bring myself to write the article and I'm glad you did.

As soon as it's open, I'm bringing my sore knees to the site and hopefully I'll be able to add a few photos to your awesome efforts.

As always, totally jealous and inspired by your efforts here. You've been a great help, and without you knowing, a severe boost to my knowledge on how things work around here. I wish there were more like you at Wikipedia.

See you around...and thanks for the Olympia template help!

Still can't edit that page!

[edit]

Can you take a look at it? The conclusion needs to put "Congress" in for "you" 3 or 4 times. See if it copies here -

Conclusion

It does look like Wikipedia has a problem with disinformation. And there are likely hundreds more articles every year that are affected by disinformation. So it’s not surprising that Congress wants to investigate the problem. But please remember that there are over 7 million articles on Wikipedia so that the articles with disinformation are still a very small fraction of the total. Editors here are very experienced at making articles NPOV.

If the congressional investigation of Wikipedia results in a way to decrease disinformation, it will be a victory for everybody. We could definitely use some help countering Chinese and Russian disinformation. Much of the rest we’re handling pretty well. But, many different types of people try to insert disinformation, using many different methods. We should try to understand and counter all of them. For example, the committee can help congresspeople and other politicians to follow our rules. They must not secretly edit articles about themselves. If they hire an editor to help them change an article, those paid editors must declare that they are paid and name their employers and clients. No exceptions!

I doubt that Wikipedia editors are going to change our rule on maintaining a neutral point of view. The government can openly provide documentation for its point of view to the whole community, but editors don’t have to accept that POV as being the whole truth. We want to show all widely held well documented POVs. Smallbones(smalltalk) 03:31, 5 September 2025 (UTC)[reply]

Club of Rome primary sources template

[edit]

I have been editing the Club of Rome. I first noticed about 10 citation needed tags, and I've successfully addressed most of those. I then decided to turn my attention to the template warning about excessive reliance on primary sources. I see that you added that in 2016, along with the comment "13 of 21 citations are to CoR itself". I looked at the advice on how and when to remove this message and not surprisingly, it doesn't have a clear-cut numerical metric. I am in full agreement that 13 out of 21 qualifies for addition of the template.

While my counting method is not perfect, I did note that 15 references now have the phrase "website=club of Rome" as part of the reference. It's possible this is still an undercount but I don't think it misses too many. While that is up from the time you added the template, the total number of references is now 51. While 15 out of 51 is still a substantial proportion, I'm inclined to think that the template is no longer necessary. In one case I identified a claim supported by a club of Rome website source and found a reference outside of club of Rome but rather than do a replacement I included both. In other words, even searching diligently for non-CoR references is not likely to reduce the number of CoR references unless we deliberately remove CoR references when we find a non-CoR reference. I don't feel comfortable doing that.

I could simply remove the template but I think it's polite whenever removing a template to at least engage the editor added the original in case they have strong views about what it would take to justify removing it. What do you think? S Philbrick(Talk) 19:07, 19 September 2025 (UTC)[reply]

Thanks for the invitation to participate in editing that. It's been a long time since I thought about it! I think I agree, 15 out of 51 isn't a burning issue anymore. ☆ Bri (talk) 19:13, 19 September 2025 (UTC)[reply]
