Register of political parties
[edit]Hi. In the context of this edit, in what sense is or was Militant Left a registered political party? (Perhaps I'm missing something.) Guliolopez (talk) 11:06, 9 February 2021 (UTC)
- Bump. Hello again. I notice that you have made effectively the same edit again, without providing a reference, explanation or edit summary. Unless you have a reliable reference which confirms Militant Left's registration as a political party, I do not understand how it can be listed as such. Guliolopez (talk) 10:18, 22 February 2021 (UTC)
- Hello again. You have again added an entry to the list of registered political parties which is not a registered political party. This is the latest register of political parties (Feb 2021). "An Rabharta Glas" is not listed. Please also read WP:TOOSOON and WP:NOTNEWS. (Not everything published by the Indo needs to be automatically added to Wikipedia.) The article Siopa Ioma has been proposed for deletion because of the following concern:
Non-notable shop. Sources here (and seemingly the only available) are a Facebook page and a directory entry. Zero indication of notability beyond any other small shop.
While all constructive contributions to Wikipedia are appreciated, pages may be deleted for any of several reasons.
You may prevent the proposed deletion by removing the {{proposed deletion/dated}} notice, but please explain why in your edit summary or on the article's talk page.
Please consider improving the page to address the issues raised. Removing {{proposed deletion/dated}} will stop the proposed deletion process, but other deletion processes exist. In particular, the speedy deletion process can result in deletion without discussion, and articles for deletion allows discussion to reach consensus for deletion. Speedy deletion nomination of Siopa Ioma
[edit]
If this is the first article that you have created, you may want to read the guide to writing your first article.
You may want to consider using the Article Wizard to help you create articles.
A tag has been placed on Siopa Ioma requesting that it be speedily deleted from Wikipedia. This has been done under section A7 of the criteria for speedy deletion, because the article appears to be about a company, corporation or organization that does not credibly indicate how or why the subject is important or significant: that is, why an article about that subject should be included in an encyclopedia. Under the criteria for speedy deletion, such articles may be deleted at any time. Please read more about what is generally accepted as notable.
If you think this page should not be deleted for this reason, you may contest the nomination by visiting the page and clicking the button labelled "Contest this speedy deletion". This will give you the opportunity to explain why you believe the page should not be deleted. However, be aware that once a page is tagged for speedy deletion, it may be deleted without delay. Please do not remove the speedy deletion tag from the page yourself, but do not hesitate to add information in line with Wikipedia's policies and guidelines. If the page is deleted, and you wish to retrieve the deleted material for future reference or improvement, then please contact the deleting administrator. DGG ( talk ) 09:15, 21 May 2021 (UTC)
Speedy deletion nomination of Chase Community Independents Group
[edit]
If this is the first article that you have created, you may want to read the guide to writing your first article.
You may want to consider using the Article Wizard to help you create articles.
A tag has been placed on Chase Community Independents Group, requesting that it be deleted from Wikipedia. This has been done under two or more of the criteria for speedy deletion, by which pages can be deleted at any time, without discussion. If the page meets any of these strictly-defined criteria, then it may soon be deleted by an administrator. The reasons it has been tagged are:
- It seems to be unambiguous advertising which only promotes a company, product, group, service, person, or point of view and would need to be fundamentally rewritten in order to become encyclopedic. (See section G11 of the criteria for speedy deletion.) Please read the guidelines on spam and Wikipedia:FAQ/Organizations for more information.
- It appears to be about a person, organization (band, club, company, etc.), individual animal, or web content, but it does not indicate how or why the subject is important or significant: that is, why an article about that subject should be included in an encyclopedia. (See section A7 of the criteria for speedy deletion.) Such articles may be deleted at any time. Please see the guidelines for what is generally accepted as notable.
If you think this page should not be deleted for this reason, you may contest the nomination by visiting the page and clicking the button labelled "Contest this speedy deletion". Business directory
[edit]Hi.
Please do not add excessive lists of businesses to existing articles. As in this sequence of edits. Wikipedia is not a directory. Of businesses. Or anything else.
Please also do not create standalone lists of non-notable businesses. As perhaps implied by this edit. Wikipedia is not a directory of otherwise non-notable things. Whether companies. Or anything else.
(Yes. Some large areas, like major cities or countries, have related "lists of companies". Like List of companies of Ireland. Or List of companies based in London. But, in each case, the members of these lists demonstrably and verifiably meet the project's notability criteria. IE: There is an article for Johnson Controls and Accenture and etc. "Dermot Hogar Plumer" [sic] is, perhaps for some time, unlikely to meet the project's notability criteria for companies. If when he/it does, and a corresponding article is created, can be added to an embedded or stand-alone list. Otherwise there is no scope for listing this (and other nearby businesses) on the project.)

[edit]Manx Progressive Party moved to draftspace
[edit]An article you recently created, Manx Progressive Party, is not suitable as written to remain published. It needs more citations from reliable, independent sources. (?) Information that can't be referenced should be removed (verifiability is of central importance on Wikipedia). I've moved your draft to draftspace (with a prefix of "Draft:" before the article title) where you can incubate the article with minimal disruption. When you feel the article meets Wikipedia's general notability guideline and thus is ready for mainspace, please click on the "Submit your draft for review!" button at the top of the page. Proposed deletion of List of political parties in British overseas territories and Crown dependencies
[edit]
The article List of political parties in British overseas territories and Crown dependencies has been proposed for deletion because of the following concern:
Unclear why this intersection needs to be on one page. There are overseas territories, and they each have political parties of course, but there seems little reason to group them together like this, as they have no links to each other (there is no connection between e.g. the Monserrat and the Gibraltar parties)
Mirrors
[edit]
Thanks for contributing to the article Draft:Countries that have lasted under one year. However, one of Wikipedia's core policies is that material must be verifiable and attributed to reliable sources. You have recently used citations which copied, or mirrored, material from Wikipedia. This leads to a circular reference and is not acceptable. Most mirrors are clearly labeled as such, but some are in violation of our license and do not provide the correct attribution. Please help by adding alternate sources to the article you edited! If you need any help or clarification, you can look at Help:Contents/Editing Wikipedia or ask at Wikipedia:New contributors' help page, or just ask me. Thank you. Your submission at Articles for creation: Countries that have lasted under one year (January 18)
[edit]
- in-depth (not just passing mentions about the subject)
- reliable
- secondary
- independent of the subject
This draft would also benefit from a WP:LISTCRITERIA on what defines a country. The reason why the list of shortest-lived sovereign states was deleted was in part due to a lack of criteria for the countries included. This article has the same problem, and you need to define what constitutes a country in the lede.
Finally, this fails WP:V since the overwhelming majority of this list are linked entries to Wikipedia articles. Wikipedia isn't a reliable source.- If you would like to continue working on the submission, go to Draft:Countries that have lasted under one year and click on the "Edit" tab at the top of the window.

The article Memory of Mankind on the Moon has been proposed for deletion because of the following concern:
Independent notability very questionable + WP:NOTNEWS
While all constructive contributions to Wikipedia are appreciated, pages may be deleted for any of several reasons.
You may prevent the proposed deletion by removing the {{proposed deletion/dated}} notice, but please explain why in your edit summary or on the article's talk page.
Please consider improving the page to address the issues raised. Removing {{proposed deletion/dated}} will stop the proposed deletion process, but other deletion processes exist. In particular, the speedy deletion process can result in deletion without discussion, and articles for deletion allows discussion to reach consensus for deletion. Speedy deletion nomination of Donald Trump Home Alone
[edit]
A tag has been placed on Donald Trump Home Alone requesting that it be speedily deleted from Wikipedia. This has been done under section R2 of the criteria for speedy deletion, because it is a redirect from the article namespace to a different namespace except the Category, Template, Wikipedia, Help, or Portal namespaces.
— ERcheck (talk) 20:25, 13 September 2025 (UTC)

Hello! I'm Bastun. I just wanted to let you know that your recent edit(s) to the page 2025 Irish presidential election have been reverted because they appear to have added incorrect information. If you believe the information you added was correct, please cite a reliable source, discuss it on the article's talk page, or leave me a message on my talk page. If you would like to experiment, please use your sandbox. Your edit summary here said "Don't know if the reason is correct but Hallelujah!" If you don't know something, don't add it, would be good advice. It was and is still open to McGregor to get nominated by councils. His press release/Xitter statement makes no mention of not securing enough nominations. 22 councils still have to decide if they're nominating someone. - I know. I'm sorry, I just didn't want to leave the reason blank so I just inferred the answer because I know he has not been able to secure a nomination from the county councils. I know, because I was there, that McGregor attempted to get an audience with laois county council but was turned away. Pierce spacem (talk) 10:06, 15 September 2025 (UTC)

List of deified people in Greek mythology
[edit]Hi Pierce spacem, you created List of deified people in Greek mythology a few years ago, and you seem to be the page's only author. I have a few concerns with this article. A number of the listed figures aren't deities at all I don't believe, and the article doesn't contain any sourcing beyond the citation in the lead. Also, figures who are unequivocally described as deities – including those who were originally mortals – are already (or should be) listed at List of Greek deities. I'm not sure if you have any strong views on this page, but my feeling is that we might not need a separate list enumerating this particular type of figure. Your thoughts would be appreciated. – Michael Aurel (talk) 01:04, 5 December 2025 (UTC)
- Hi, I think we should keep the article because it represents a specific facet of Greek Mythology. I know that the sources are few and far between, I made this article when I was younger and a lot more inexperienced. On your point of some of them not being considered gods, I can see what you mean in most versions their apotheosis is not mentioned or in the case of Helle very few and slightly obscured ones. Pierce spacem (talk) 10:10, 5 December 2025 (UTC)
- Thanks for your response. It's fair to characterise the deification of mortals as a particular facet of Greek mythology, though it's worth considering that this list doesn't cover that topic in the same way a general article (Deification in Greek mythology, for example) would. To put it another way, in a world where both List of deified people in Greek mythology and List of Greek deities are comprehensive and properly sourced, all of the figures listed at the former page will also be listed at the latter article, and I'm not sure that would be a tenable state of affairs. – Michael Aurel (talk) 22:22, 5 December 2025 (UTC)
- I understand your viewpoint but would you not then have to merge other Greek gods related articles. eg.Chthonic deities. If you would give me a week or so, I will revamp the article and provide sources for each and every one of them. Thank You! Pierce spacem (talk) 10:21, 6 December 2025 (UTC)
- I'll try to explain the distinction more clearly: Chthonic deities is a regular (ie. non-list) article, so it contains a general discussion of the concept, whereas List of deified people in Greek mythology is a list article, so it enumerates a particular set of figures. If our Chthonic deities article were instead List of chthonic deities, I would argue it should be merged with List of Greek deities (as all such figures are, or should be, listed there). Hopefully this makes sense.
- Please don't let me discourage you from improving the article, though I still don't know what a fully-sourced version of the list would contain that isn't already at List of Greek deities. – Michael Aurel (talk) 12:26, 6 December 2025 (UTC)
- On your second point, there is no section in the article List of Greek deities about defied mortals which is incredibly hard to navigate and is not particularly comprehensive. However, if you would like to collaborate with me with making List of deified people in Greek mythology into a broader article, maybe "Apotheosis in Greek Mythology". Pierce spacem (talk) 12:50, 6 December 2025 (UTC)
there is no section in the article List of Greek deities about defied mortals
: That's true, and is a product of the structure used there. They are sprinkled throughout: Heracles appears under "Other deities with cults", Thyone under "Other deities", Leucothea under "Lesser deities", and so on. I suppose this raises the question of how many readers are likely to want to find such figures in one place, and how we ought to cater to those readers.is not particularly comprehensive
: I believe it's comprehensive (or very close to it), but if there are deities who aren't listed there, please let me know; I'm the page's author, and would certainly appreciate you pointing out any gaps in its coverage.if you would like to collaborate with me with making List of deified people in Greek mythology into a broader article
: Sure. It would also be worth considering how Apotheosis#Ancient Greece fits into this picture. – Michael Aurel (talk) 23:56, 6 December 2025 (UTC)
