Congratulations, Icepinner! The list you nominated, List of Singapore LRT stations, has been promoted to featured status, recognizing it as one of the best lists on Wikipedia. The nomination discussion has been archived.
This is a rare accomplishment and you should be proud. If you would like, you may nominate it to appear on the Main page as Today's featured list. Keep up the great work! Cheers, Giants2008 (talk) via FACBot (talk) 01:16, 15 September 2025 (UTC)[reply]

Arbitration

  • After a motion, arbitration enforcement page protections no longer need to be logged in the AELOG. A bot now automatically posts protections at WP:AELOG/P. To facilitate this bot, protection summaries must include a link to the relevant CT page (e.g. [[WP:CT/BLP]]), and you will receive talk page reminders if you forget to specify the contentious topic but otherwise indicate it is an AE action.

DYK for GV Yishun

[edit]

On 13 October 2025, Did you know was updated with a fact from the article GV Yishun, which you recently created, substantially expanded, or brought to good article status. The fact was ... that architect Geoff Malone was tasked with impressing visitors with a "rocket ship" design for a Singapore movie theatre? The nomination discussion and review may be seen at Template:Did you know nominations/GV Yishun. You are welcome to check how many pageviews the nominated article or articles got while on the front page (here's how, GV Yishun), and the hook may be added to the statistics page after its run on the Main Page has completed. Finally, if you know of an interesting fact from another recently created article, then please feel free to nominate it.

Thank you for this interesting article and fact, and welcome to WP:QAI. Sorry, I noticed only now that you joined. Post articles for review on the talk and review ;) - Today's TFA is by Wehwalt, one of the project founders. Thank you for improving article quality! --Gerda Arendt (talk) 06:58, 14 October 2025 (UTC)[reply]

Aw, thanks Gerda! Really honoured to have the Gerda Arendt welcome me to QAI. Icepinner 07:03, 14 October 2025 (UTC)[reply]
blushing a bit - I feel like the project secretary, missing those who started it. I was in Singapore once, briefly, and liked it. Will explore your articles. --Gerda Arendt (talk) 07:14, 14 October 2025 (UTC)[reply]
I am sad that I had to bring two more people to the main page because they died. At least the video in my story is cute, made for children. --Gerda Arendt (talk) 19:48, 14 October 2025 (UTC)[reply]
Thank you for improving article quality in October. My latest: Roberta Alexander, - listen. --Gerda Arendt (talk) 21:00, 20 October 2025 (UTC)[reply]

Singapore

Thank you for quality articles around Singapore such as List of Singapore LRT stations, articles of MRT stations, Details Cannot Body Wants and Istana Park, for helping to retain GA quality and for reviewing, for: I got lots of articles to destub :) - you are an awesome Wikipedian!

You are recipient no. 3000 of Precious, a prize of QAI. --Gerda Arendt (talk) 11:42, 15 October 2025 (UTC)[reply]

Oh my! Thanks for bestowing the Precious award on me (and I'm even recipient number 3000!) Like I've said above, WP:SG has a lot of articles needing expansion, so my work isn't done yet, but I'm still grateful for this award. By the way, when you were in Singapore, did you manage to visit The Esplanade? Really amazing building. Icepinner 13:50, 15 October 2025 (UTC)[reply]
The lead should have an indication of the opening year ;) - It was after I visited Singapore. --Gerda Arendt (talk) 19:42, 15 October 2025 (UTC)[reply]

It's been over a week since there last was a comment there; should it be closed as no consensus? If you'd like to, you can reopen the proposal at WT:SG Whyiseverythingalreadyused (talk) 09:04, 28 October 2025 (UTC)[reply]

@Whyiseverythingalreadyused: Possibly. I think this may fall under an "uncontroversial merge", though I must admit that I talked about this with a few editors off-Wiki, and those editors participated in the merger discussion (their thoughts are completely independent of me, I must stress). I may relist it on WT:SG, but if there's no input from other editors, then I will close the discussion as no consensus. Icepinner 10:38, 28 October 2025 (UTC)[reply]

story · music · places

Thank you for support in November, including more quality content! - On St. Cecilia's Day - patron saint of music - I remember a composition by Benjamin Britten, and have a woman on the main page who illustrated songs, with a sense of humour. My places take you to Milan, my first visit to La Scala, also a botanical garden, and music features our latest choral Abendlob, with English music. -- Gerda Arendt (talk) 19:31, 22 November 2025 (UTC)[reply]

I would like to visit Italy someday and see some cool Roman / Renaissance stuff, but alas, maybe not until for another couple of years. Also, that pasta at Giannino 3 looks incredibly delicious. Icepinner 23:19, 22 November 2025 (UTC)[reply]
