Invitation to participate in research

[edit]

Hello,

The Wikimedia Foundation is conducting a survey of a group of Wikipedians to better understand their experiences! We are also looking to interview some survey respondents in more detail, and you will be eligible to receive a thank-you gift for the completion of an interview. The outcomes of this research will shape future work designed to improve on-wiki experiences.

We have identified you as a good candidate for this research, and would greatly appreciate your participation in this survey, which shouldn’t take more than 2-3 minutes. You may view its privacy statement here. Please contact me if you have any questions or concerns. Kind regards, Sam Walton (talk) 16:35, 10 March 2025 (UTC)[reply]

Huggle! Argh!

[edit]

Huggle often places warning in the wrong section as was added to Dollyrohampton's talk page here. I moved yours and mine to the bottom of Dollyrohampton's talk page. I wish this would get fixed. Cheers Adakiko (talk) 19:43, 22 March 2025 (UTC)[reply]

Clara Coltman Rogers Vyvyan

[edit]

Hello, I am adding dedications to the Clara Coltman Rogers Vyvyan bibliography to illustrate her network of friends and contacts. Could you please restore the work I have done so far? Thank you. 81.135.203.26 (talk) 22:43, 22 March 2025 (UTC)[reply]

Thanks for reverting

[edit]

A vandal who vandlised question mark must've saw my account, because his username is similar to mine. Luckly you reverted it. Thank you. KoopaGamer (talk) 22:56, 22 March 2025 (UTC)[reply]

Explication

[edit]

Bonjour c'est moi qui est modifié la page de stormworks sous une adresse IP avant de crée mon compte. Mes intentions n'étais pas de vandalisme la page mais de contribuer a elle . Je souhaitait ajouter une catégorie "mise a jour". Merci Skyy6127 (talk) 15:33, 18 April 2025 (UTC)[reply]

recent warning

[edit]

about this warning, same thing as i said to another editor here. for what its worth i dont think theyre a vandal if you check their contribs and edit descriptions here(1)(2), but rather a lost newbie with a coi, might be a distinction without a difference. fifteen thousand two hundred twenty four (talk) 14:09, 19 April 2025 (UTC)[reply]

Apparent block evasion by a user you recently blocked

[edit]

Hi there, you recently blocked User:Rylès HADJAR, but they seem to have created a new account User:DZ Rylès with the same user page content and similar edits. Rosbif73 (talk) 15:13, 23 April 2025 (UTC)[reply]

Blocking the /64

[edit]

Hi ESkog. I've noticed that you often block individual IPv6 addresses rather than a /64 range. Since many devices rotate the last part of the address, /64 blocks tend to be more effective, especially for blocks longer than a few hours. For example, if you look at your block of 2a01:e0a:120:88c0:b89f:ae5d:4a74:faac, there's a fair amount of disruption from other addresses on 2a01:e0a:120:88c0::/64 and that IP range has also been blocked recently. Blocking a /64 only affects a tiny portion of the IPv6 space (proportionally it's far less than a single IPv4 address compared to the whole of IPv4). If you use Twinkle, there's a checkbox option to use the /64 by default for IPv6 blocks. There's also an essay about this at WP:/64. Regards. Daniel Quinlan (talk) 22:45, 1 May 2025 (UTC)[reply]
