Congratulations Vacant0, you are awarded the Imperial Triple Crown Jewels for your ongoing contributions to Wikipedia. Your hard work is appreciated. Damien Linnane (talk) 05:22, 1 February 2025 (UTC)

Hey there and welcome! I go by Rie but you can also call me Vacant0 or simply Vacant (they/them). On Wikipedia, you'll usually find me in areas related to content assessment, though from time to time I am also present in technical areas of Wikipedia. In real life, I'm a computer scientist, software engineer, photographer, film-watcher, artist, and non-profit volunteer based in Serbia. If you have anything to ask me, you can do it on my talk page or via email.

I created my account in 2019 and was initially in the state of not knowing what and how to do things on Wikipedia until 2021. My interests initially solely relied on improving articles related to politics, such as elections, referendums, and political parties. Most of my biggest achievements still remain in Serbian politics, where I've brought many elections, referendums, parties, coalitions, events, and politicians to Good Article status. Occassionally, I also worked on several non-Serbian elections, mostly in Europe.

Over time, I wanted to leave my comfort zone and explore other parts of Wikipedia. Since then, I've been involved in the sockpuppet investigations, Did you know, Articles for deletion, and In the news processes. I also started writing and reviewing Good Articles, Featured Articles, and Did you know nominations. I have made many contributions to the GA process such as by coordinating July 2024, October 2024, and May 2025 GAN backlog drives, mentoring newbie GAN reviewers, and heading the Good Article Gazette newsletter.

Regarding content assessment, my interests are much more diverse now. While I still work in areas related to politics, I've since branched out to writing technology, video games, board games, photography, food, drinks, nature, and biographies of various left-wing revolutionaries and philosophers. My goal is to continue getting more familiar with other areas and aspects of Wikipedia, both technical and content-wise. If you have any recommendations, hit me up!

On Wikipedia, I dislike the labels 'inclusionist' and 'deletionist'; I instead try to strictly follow our notability guidelines. I try to always assume good faith and hate seeing users being bitten. As Wikipedia is a collaborative project, I believe that everyone must remain civil and respective to each other, even in great disagreements. It could be a much better place if we were a bit nicer to others. I strongly oppose the use of large language models on Wikipedia, even if it might be helpful to some.
