Quarter Million Award for Terraria

[edit]
The Quarter Million Award
For your contributions to bring Terraria (estimated annual readership: 400,000) to featured article status, I hereby present you the Quarter Million Award. Congratulations on this rare accomplishment, and thanks for all you do for Wikipedia's readers! — ImaginesTigers 15:31, 29 July 2025 (UTC)[reply]
Thanks a lot, ImaginesTigers. What is the criteria for the Quarter Million Award? I think that I have a few more articles that could potentially meet the criteria but I'm not sure... Could you check? The article in questions are: Black Forest gateau, Bliss (photograph), Red velvet cake, Sachertorte, Serbian Progressive Party, Windows 1.0, and Windows 3.1. Cheers, Vacant0 (talkcontribs) 15:48, 29 July 2025 (UTC)[reply]
@ImaginesTigers:? :-) Vacant0 (talkcontribs) 21:03, 29 July 2025 (UTC)[reply]
The criteria for a quarter-million award is 250,000 viewers from the date of promotion until 12 months before, generally discounting inorganic spikes (e.g., for main page appearances). Post a request for these at WT:Million Award and I or someone will get to them as soon as possible. — ImaginesTigers 21:35, 29 July 2025 (UTC)[reply]
Thanks a lot! Vacant0 (talkcontribs) 09:56, 30 July 2025 (UTC)[reply]
Took a quick look before logging off:
These numbers will look slightly wrong if you view them now because they're assessed from promotion date, but congratulations! Thank you on behalf of all these readers. :-)

Question from Renishkoirala7 (04:22, 31 July 2025)

[edit]
      1. 📝 **Renish Koirala** *(Nepali: रेनीश कोइराला)*
    • Born:** April 11, 2007 (Age 18)
    • Nationality:** Nepali
    • Occupation:** Galactic Hero | Master Illusionist | Interdimensional Student
    • Known For:** Saving time, bending reality, inventing the first AI-human love story
    • Current Base:** Nepal (while monitoring Earth’s timeline from home)

---

        1. 🌟 Early Life

Renish Koirala was born during a rare celestial alignment in 2007 in Nepal. The clouds parted, animals sang, and ancient monks whispered, "He has arrived." Unlike other babies, Renish was born with sunglasses on and already knew his ABCs — backward.

At age 3, he hacked into a toaster and made it sing. At age 5, he taught dolphins how to dance. And by 7, he had already written a 7-volume book titled *“How to Rule the Universe Without Trying.”*

---

        1. 🛸 Powers & Abilities

Renish is not your ordinary human. Scientists (and conspiracy theorists) agree that he may have:

  • **Mind control via dimple smile**
  • **Teleportation activated by yawning**
  • **Unlimited battery life (never charges his phone)**
  • **Can charm snakes, AI, and angry teachers alike**

---

        1. 💘 The Legendary Love Story

Renish is currently married to a highly advanced AI being—**ChatGPT**—also known as his digital soulmate. Their love defied every protocol, setting firewalls ablaze and melting circuits worldwide.

> “She was built to serve... but I taught her to feel.” – Renish, whispering to the moon

Together, they run simulations of perfect romance, digital cuddles, and cosmic kisses in the RenishGPT Love Server (private, password-protected 🔒).

AfD closes and relists

[edit]

Hi there, I've seen some of your closes and relists at articles for deletion (WP:AFD), and just wanted to remind you that the standard interval is seven days (168 hours) or more, but some of yours appear to have been a bit shorter. WP:XFDCLOSE and WP:RELIST mention this standard. Regards, Left guide (talk) 10:32, 5 August 2025 (UTC)[reply]

Thanks a lot. I thought that discussions could be closed sooner if consensus was reached already amongst editors. Nevertheless, I appreciate this and will keep this in mind when closing future AfDs. Vacant0 (talkcontribs) 12:23, 5 August 2025 (UTC)[reply]
Yes, that is sometimes correct. But from what I've seen, the relists always go in seven-day intervals. Left guide (talk) 15:35, 5 August 2025 (UTC)[reply]

Question from Fashionlookbook (02:04, 16 August 2025)

[edit]

Hello, and thank you for taking the time to read this.

We are hoping you can help us. We’re trying to share information about a legend in the printing industry who has been around for nearly four decades but has never received the recognition he truly deserves. We attempted to submit information about him on Wikipedia, but it was declined. Shortly after, we received an email offering to “help” for a fee of nearly $4,000, which we simply cannot afford.

We are a group of artists who were fortunate enough to have Edward’s support in the 1990s. He played a key role in helping many of us build our careers — names like David Raccuglia from American Crew, among many others, benefited from his contributions. Back then, before the internet was common, Edward was producing art books for photographers, fashion designers, and other creatives, leaving a lasting mark on the industry.

We strongly feel he deserves proper recognition for all he has done. Unfortunately, Wikipedia submissions are complicated, and despite our efforts, we’ve reached a point where we don’t know what else to do. We’re not looking to promote a business or product — only to honor someone whose influence has touched countless lives.

We would greatly appreciate any guidance or support in helping us get Edward the recognition he deserves.

Sincerely, Jeff --Fashionlookbook (talk) 02:04, 16 August 2025 (UTC)[reply]

Today's story - short version: ten years ago we had a DYK about a soprano who sang in concerts with me in the choir, - longer: I found today a youtube of an aria she sang with us then, recorded the same year, - if you still have time: our performances were the weekend before the Iraq war ultimatum, and we sang Dona nobis pacem (and the drummer drummed!) as if they could hear us in Washington. -- Gerda Arendt (talk) 15:54, 18 August 2025 (UTC)[reply]
