I work better alone, but enjoy discussion and collaboration. I generally completely overhaul articles, reincorporating useful material from high-quality sources but otherwise largely writing everything from scratch. Sometimes I make edits that are too big and too bold—in these cases, other editors have quite rightly told me to get back to my sandbox. While I typically work on a single project at a time, my attention span is very short. As a general principle, my projects can generally be traced to my academic background in English literature and classics, or my personal interest in video games. I keep a box of shiny things. If you award me something that was intended for someone else, it's still going in the box. |
