Question from Dafootballguy on 40–40 club (04:10, 11 December 2025)
[edit]Hello again, I posted a question on this page's talk page, can you please answer. --Dafootballguy (talk) 04:10, 11 December 2025 (UTC)
Question from Bradysc112 (21:07, 11 December 2025)
[edit]Hey just wanted to introduce myself! Will be doing this in my spare time, if you ever need any help, or have any advice I am here for it! --Bradysc112 (talk) 21:07, 11 December 2025 (UTC)
Question from Dafootballguy (21:16, 12 December 2025)
[edit]Hey there, I made a user box about TNF on prime video how do I add a picture to it? --Dafootballguy (talk) 21:16, 12 December 2025 (UTC)
- @Dafootballguy I think you put the image file name in the ID parameter, where it currently says "Prime Video" (link to the userbox). Remember that the image has to be free, as in free of copyright. Toadspike [Talk] 08:34, 14 December 2025 (UTC)
Issue with Bradysc112
[edit]The aforementioned user has been spamming users and using AI despite being told not to perhaps the user can be talked to or blocked.Dafootballguy (talk) 21:25, 12 December 2025 (UTC)
- @Dafootballguy I have already talked to them. You'll notice they have stopped those two problematic behaviors. Toadspike [Talk] 12:31, 13 December 2025 (UTC)
Question from IronLiberty (14:55, 13 December 2025)
[edit]Hi, please can you check my recent edits if I am doing everything ok? Thank you very much for your feedback. --IronLiberty (talk) 14:55, 13 December 2025 (UTC)
- @IronLiberty Hi IronLiberty. Sorry it took me so long to respond. It looks like you're doing well, especially because you're citing your sources, which is great! One minor thing is that references should always come after pronunciation, like this,[1] not like this [2]. Do you have anything more specific you'd like me to look at? Toadspike [Talk] 07:30, 16 December 2025 (UTC)
Question from Dafootballguy on Thomas Vesey (archdeacon) (02:28, 14 December 2025)
[edit]Hello, this page doesn't seem useful, what can be done? --Dafootballguy (talk) 02:28, 14 December 2025 (UTC)
- @Dafootballguy You can try expanding the article. A challenge with some obscure historical figures is that we simply don't have much information about them. It looks like there are enough sources to show that he is notable, so the article is unlikely to get deleted, if that's what you were looking for. Toadspike [Talk] 08:36, 14 December 2025 (UTC)
Question from Gwendelynbryant (21:22, 15 December 2025)
[edit]Hello Toadspike. I’m a former editor of entertainment for newspapers and of mental health issues for a state agency. I’m looking forward to helping Wikipedia. I am rusty but willing. I would like to put off starting until about mid-January, however. If I need to do anything special to start later, please let me know. Otherwise, I’ll just keep this page available and open and start in a few weeks. Thanks! --Gwendelynbryant (talk) 21:22, 15 December 2025 (UTC)
- @Gwendelynbryant Your background sounds fascinating. You don't need to do anything special, but if you'd like to do some reading, pages like introduction to referencing and Everything you need to know might help. Feel free to come back and ask me any questions you may have! Toadspike [Talk] 07:25, 16 December 2025 (UTC)
- Thank you very much. I'm gradually reading through the guidelines. They are very well prepared. IronLiberty (talk) 12:59, 16 December 2025 (UTC)
Type in Editing Restrictions
[edit]Hi, I saw you unblocked Newsjunkie, but in the editing restrictions page, referred to them as Unofficial Jurassic World. Thought I'd point it out. Also, thanks for taking a look at their situation; I'm not optimistic that they'll avoid past mistakes, but everyone deserves another chance, and they could be a great contributor, so thanks for your work. EducatedRedneck (talk) 22:59, 16 December 2025 (UTC)
- Thanks for pointing this out, it looks like has Chaotic Enby fixed it already. As you could probably guess, I was copying from the previous row and forgot to change that bit. As for the rest – from the little I've seen, I agree that they could be a great contributor. I hope they can hold to these restrictions, but in the end that's entirely up to them. Toadspike [Talk] 08:10, 17 December 2025 (UTC)
Question from Dafootballguy (03:00, 17 December 2025)
[edit]Hello, you have seen my edits and my userpage, what articles do you recommend I improve? I won't get to it until tomorrow, but I'd love to help. --Dafootballguy (talk) 03:00, 17 December 2025 (UTC)
- Sorry, I'm not very familiar with the sports topic area. Maybe WT:WikiProject American football would a better place to ask? Toadspike [Talk] 09:26, 18 December 2025 (UTC)
Can you reclose this as per the consensus at XfD? If not, it may not be eligible for G4 in the future and socks aren’t always easy to link, imo. Jeraxmoira🐉 (talk) 05:18, 17 December 2025 (UTC)
- @Jeraxmoira Yes, that's a good idea. Done. Toadspike [Talk] 08:18, 17 December 2025 (UTC)
Question from Coldwaterherbie (19:12, 17 December 2025)
[edit]Hi Toadspike, I wanted to write an article to add to the Wikipedia reference list. How can i submit a draft for consideration? --Coldwaterherbie (talk) 19:12, 17 December 2025 (UTC)
- Hello @Coldwaterherbie! The Article creation wizard is the easiest way to create a draft. I suggest reading WP:42 and WP:YFA first, though. Toadspike [Talk] 21:48, 17 December 2025 (UTC)
Question from Dafootballguy on Draft:Single season sack record (02:38, 18 December 2025)
[edit]Hello, I will finish this article soon, is it a good idea? Perhaps user:left guide should be consulted. --Dafootballguy (talk) 02:38, 18 December 2025 (UTC)
- @Dafootballguy: Were you aware of the page List of NFL annual sacks leaders? It seems that some of this info is covered there. Left guide (talk) 02:49, 18 December 2025 (UTC)
- I was, I felt a new article was warranted because of Myles Garrett. Side note, how so free agent Justin Jones (American football), who was just released, be updated? Dafootballguy (talk) 03:27, 18 December 2025 (UTC)
Seasons Greetings
[edit]
- Thank you Buster7! Happy holidays to you too! Toadspike [Talk] 09:27, 18 December 2025 (UTC)
Question from Dafootballguy on Justin Jones (American football) (03:34, 18 December 2025)
[edit]This player was released, how should I indicate this? --Dafootballguy (talk) 03:34, 18 December 2025 (UTC)
- For Jones, please be sure to cite a source confirming the change. WP:SPORTSTRANS may offer relevant guidance. If you need further help, consider asking at WT:NFL. Left guide (talk) 03:36, 18 December 2025 (UTC)
- This is a source;https://arizonasports.com/nfl/arizona-cardinals/justin-jones/3605915/, there are others. Dafootballguy (talk) 03:37, 18 December 2025 (UTC)
Block request
[edit]Can ~2025-41175-45 (talk) be blocked? They have vandalized List of NFL Most Valuable Player awards, as can be seen in the logs. Thank you for your time. Dafootballguy (talk) 03:50, 18 December 2025 (UTC)
- @Dafootballguy We normally don't block people for one instance of vandalism – we warn them instead, like this. If you install an antivandalism script, like Ultraviolet, it will be very easy to revert and warn vandalism all in one go. Toadspike [Talk] 07:25, 18 December 2025 (UTC)
- I just did that for an IP address. Was it done correctly? Dafootballguy (talk) 02:08, 19 December 2025 (UTC)
- @Dafootballguy Yes, that looks correct. Good work! If you repeatedly warn a vandal and they do not stop, you can report them at WP:AIV. Toadspike [Talk] 07:47, 19 December 2025 (UTC)
- Thanks for the help. Have a great day! Dafootballguy (talk) 18:59, 19 December 2025 (UTC)

Question from Dafootballguy on Justin Jones (American football) (05:12, 18 December 2025)
[edit]Hello again, how do I indicate the season for ARZ as 2024 with a link? --Dafootballguy (talk) 05:12, 18 December 2025 (UTC)
- Hi, you may use the coding
[[2024 Arizona Cardinals season]]for a direct link where the display words match the article title, or refer to WP:PIPE to have different words appear. Left guide (talk) 09:13, 18 December 2025 (UTC) - I think you forgot to close the curly brackets. It should be
* [[Arizona Cardinals]] ({{NFL Year|2024}}–{{NFL Year|2025}}). Toadspike [Talk] 09:25, 18 December 2025 (UTC)- Thanks! Dafootballguy (talk) 02:06, 19 December 2025 (UTC)
Translation request
[edit]Hi Toadspike (talk · contribs), I was recently starting a page on Paris Garden but realised there was quite an extensive page on the German Wikipedia [1] on the topic already, so I was wondering if you might be interested in translating that page and then I might be able to add to it from there. Many thanks RanulfLampard (talk) 09:11, 19 December 2025 (UTC)
- @Toadspike: RanulfLampard (talk) 09:13, 19 December 2025 (UTC)
- Interesting topic. I haven't had much time for writing lately, but I suppose I could give it a shot. May take a few days though. A warning: German Wikipedia tends to be much more lax about citations. This article is pretty decent, but I still see a few uncited chunks. You'll want to get those sorted. Toadspike [Talk] 09:21, 19 December 2025 (UTC)
- Update: I'm working on it, but I've already found some hefty errors when comparing the German article to its sources. This doesn't bode well. Once the translation is complete, you'll have to review everything with a fine-toothed comb to make sure we aren't spreading misinformation. Toadspike [Talk] 10:14, 19 December 2025 (UTC)

Question from Dafootballguy (21:18, 19 December 2025)
[edit]Hello Toadspike, I created draft:single season sack record, which has upon self reviewal been deemed unnecessary, can it be speedily deleted? --Dafootballguy (talk) 21:18, 19 December 2025 (UTC)
- Looks like you figured out that
{{db-g7}}is the best way to request deletion for a page you created. It's usually much faster to use CSD tags than to ask a specific admin to delete a page :) Toadspike [Talk] 11:11, 20 December 2025 (UTC)
Semi-protection request
[edit]List of NFL Most Valuable Player awards has been seeing a large amount of vandalism, perhaps it should be semi-protected. Dafootballguy (talk) 03:05, 21 December 2025 (UTC)
- @Dafootballguy I've temporarily protected it using pending changes. The vandalism is too sporadic for semi-protection, but since unregistered edits have been unconstructive for a few months now, PC fits well. In future you can request page protection at WP:RfPP. Toadspike [Talk] 08:45, 21 December 2025 (UTC)
- Thanks a lot! Dafootballguy (talk) 18:16, 21 December 2025 (UTC)
Question from Dafootballguy on Cooper DeJean (19:50, 21 December 2025)
[edit]Sorry to bother, can this be protected from vandalism, not semi-protected, but something to stop the vandalism. --Dafootballguy (talk) 19:50, 21 December 2025 (UTC)
- It doesn't look like there's a lot of obvious vandalism to me. If any of the recent number-changing edits are incorrect, you can revert them. Toadspike [Talk] 20:09, 21 December 2025 (UTC)
- I count 5 accounts of vandalism reverted, which leads me to feel like it needs a bit of protection, nothing crazy. Dafootballguy (talk) 20:12, 21 December 2025 (UTC)
- I've looked back farther and you're correct, all non-autoconfirmed edits going back several months have been reverted. I've applied three months of PC protection. Semi-protection is probably called for, but I'm reluctant to go straight to long-term semi. If this continues you can request an upgrade at WP:Requests for page protection. Thanks for the report. Toadspike [Talk] 20:31, 21 December 2025 (UTC)
- Thank you so much for your help, sorry about the delay, I was eating lunch and missed your response. Dafootballguy (talk) 20:47, 21 December 2025 (UTC)

Question from Dafootballguy (21:27, 21 December 2025)
[edit]I moved the article Rams vs Seahawks 2025, or something like that, to draft space is that OK? --Dafootballguy (talk) 21:27, 21 December 2025 (UTC)
- @Dafootballguy If you're talking about Windy City Miracle/Draft:Windy City Miracle, please do not move an article with an open deletion discussion. That messes things up. Just let the AfD run to its natural conclusion. Toadspike [Talk] 00:04, 22 December 2025 (UTC)
Question from Dafootballguy on Zonovan Knight (22:08, 21 December 2025)
[edit]How to establish consensus if he should be referred too as "BAM" or the current name of the article? --Dafootballguy (talk) 22:08, 21 December 2025 (UTC)
- @Dafootballguy The process would be a move discussion (aka "requested move"), explained here: WP:RMCM. We rarely title articles for people after something other than their "real" name, but if you can show that the nickname is the common name used most in reliable sources, then you can open a move discussion. Toadspike [Talk] 00:10, 22 December 2025 (UTC)
- How do I do that? Dafootballguy (talk) 00:11, 22 December 2025 (UTC)
- I have only seen him referred to as "bam". Dafootballguy (talk) 00:11, 22 December 2025 (UTC)
- Also what about Sauce Gardner and Deebo Samuel? Those are both nicknames. Dafootballguy (talk) 02:23, 22 December 2025 (UTC)

- @Dafootballguy It's easiest to install WP:TWINKLE and then use its XfD feature (the name is misleading). Alternatively, follow the steps at WP:RSPM. Toadspike [Talk] 08:53, 22 December 2025 (UTC)

Happy holidays!
[edit]'Spike, you have a great many abilities. You can understand this and that, you sailed through RFA, you review articles for content assessment processes, and you have exceptional AFD participation. You are a great friend, a kind teacher, an awesome Wikipedian, and a fantastic person. I have thoroughly enjoyed getting to know you the past howevermany months, and I dearly look forward to continuing this in 2026! The best to you and yours this holiday season. ■

[edit]Sorry to bother, can you delete this? --Dafootballguy (talk) 23:57, 21 December 2025 (UTC)
- Done. Toadspike [Talk] 23:59, 21 December 2025 (UTC)
- Thanks so much, have a great day. Have you seen my other question? Dafootballguy (talk) 00:00, 22 December 2025 (UTC)

Question from Dafootballguy (00:48, 23 December 2025)
[edit]Hello, can I get page reviewer rights? I want ti to contribute to wikipedia in a more meaningful way. --Dafootballguy (talk) 00:48, 23 December 2025 (UTC)
- @Dafootballguy You will need lots of experience with the notability criteria to be come an Articles for Creation reviewer or a new page reviewer. The best way to do this is to participate in deletion discussions over at WP:AfD and leave thoughtful, well-reasoned comments. Toadspike [Talk] 08:15, 23 December 2025 (UTC)
