User talk:Shink77

Welcome!

[edit]

Hello, Shink77, and welcome to Wikipedia! Thank you for your contributions.

I noticed that the article Yo Yo Honey Singh, appears to deal with a topic with which you may have a conflict of interest. In other words, you may find it difficult to write about that topic in a neutral and objective way, because you are, work for, or represent, the subject of that article. Your recent contributions may have already been undone for this very reason.

To reduce the chances of your contributions being undone, you might like to draft your revised article before submission, and then ask me or another editor to proofread it. See our help page on userspace drafts for more details. If the page you created has already been deleted from Wikipedia, but you want to save the content from it to use for that draft, don't hesitate to ask anyone from this list and they will copy it to your user page.

One rule we do have in connection with conflicts of interest is that accounts used by more than one person will unfortunately be blocked from editing. Wikipedia generally does not allow editors to have usernames which imply that the account belongs to a company or corporation. If you have a username like this, you should request a change of username or create a new account. (A name that identifies the user as an individual within a given organization may be OK.)

In addition, if you receive, or expect to receive, compensation for any contribution you make, you must disclose your employer, client, and affiliation to comply with our terms of use and our policy on paid editing.

Here are some pages that you might find helpful:

I hope you enjoy editing here and being a Wikipedian! Please sign your messages on talk pages using four tildes (~~~~); this will automatically insert your username and the date. If you need help, visit the Teahouse, check out Wikipedia:Questions, ask me on my talk page, or ask your question on this page and then place {{Help me}} before the question. Thank you for your recent contributions, such as International Villager. Getting started creating new articles on Wikipedia can be tricky, and you might like to try creating a draft of your article in draftspace or in your userspace first, which you can then ask for feedback on if necessary, with less risk of deletion. Do make sure you also read help available to you, including Your First Article and the Tutorial. You might also like to try the Article Wizard, which has an option to create a draft version. Hi Shink77. Thank you for your work on Alfaaz. Another editor, ViridianPenguin, has reviewed it as part of new pages patrol and left the following comment:

Nice work! The prior Wikipedia:Articles for deletion/Alfaaz seems to deal with an unrelated and non-notable music festival, whereas this subject has its notability firmly established with at least two instances of independent and significant coverage from reliable sources.

To reply, leave a comment here and begin it with {{Re|ViridianPenguin}}. (Message delivered via the Page Curation tool, on behalf of the reviewer.)

Hey Hii @Shink77, I am not convinced by your logic here. I am expanding wp:lead with the reliable sources. If you have any content issue then we should discuss in talk page. other than that look what WP:LEAD say "In Wikipedia, the lead section is an introduction to an article and a summary of its most important contents." also this "The average Wikipedia visit is a few minutes long. The lead is the first thing most people read upon arriving at an article, and may be the only portion of the article that they read."
I hope, you will corporate with me in expanding the lead section and improving the entire article.
Happy Editing. Kind Regards. Callmehelper (talk) 11:06, 25 May 2025 (UTC)[reply]

If this is the first article that you have created, you may want to read the guide to writing your first article.

You may want to consider using the Article Wizard to help you create articles.

A tag has been placed on ScoutOP requesting that it be speedily deleted from Wikipedia. This has been done under section G12 of the criteria for speedy deletion, because the page appears to be an unambiguous copyright infringement. This page appears to be a direct copy from https://wikitia[.]com/wiki/ScoutOP. For legal reasons, we cannot accept copyrighted text or images taken from other web sites or printed material, and as a consequence, your addition will most likely be deleted. You may use external websites or other printed material as a source of information, but not as a source of sentences. This part is crucial: say it in your own words. Wikipedia takes copyright violations very seriously and persistent violators will be blocked from editing.

If the external website or image belongs to you, and you want to allow Wikipedia to use the text or image — which means allowing other people to use it for any reason — then you must verify that externally by one of the processes explained at Wikipedia:Donating copyrighted materials. The same holds if you are not the owner but have their permission. If you are not the owner and do not have permission, see Wikipedia:Requesting copyright permission for how you may obtain it. You might want to look at Wikipedia's copyright policy for more details, or ask a question here.

If you think this page should not be deleted for this reason, you may contest the nomination by visiting the page and clicking the button labelled "Contest this speedy deletion". This will give you the opportunity to explain why you believe the page should not be deleted. However, be aware that once a page is tagged for speedy deletion, it may be deleted without delay. Please do not remove the speedy deletion tag from the page yourself, but do not hesitate to add information in line with Wikipedia's policies and guidelines. Scaledish! Talkish? Thanks for your contributions to ScoutOP. Unfortunately, I do not think it is ready for publishing at this time because it needs more sources to establish notability and it is promotional and reads like an advertisement. I have converted your article to a draft which you can improve, undisturbed for a while.

Please see more information at Help:Unreviewed new page. When the article is ready for publication, please click on the "Submit the draft for review!" button at the top of the page OR move the page back. – Pbrks (t·c) 13:03, 2 June 2025 (UTC)[reply]

Information icon Hi Shink77! I noticed that you recently made an edit at Yo Yo Honey Singh and marked it as "minor", but it may not have been. On Wikipedia, "minor edit" refers only to superficial edits that could never be disputed, such as fixing typos or reverting obvious vandalism. Any edit that changes the meaning of an article is not minor, even if it only concerns a single word.

You have also made hundreds of these edits consecutively. Please consider using the preview button, as making many small edits clogs up the recent changes and the page history, and can cause edit conflicts. Belbury (talk) 19:19, 22 June 2025 (UTC)[reply]

Minor edits which are made to an article, have to be mentioned as "minor edits" which is what I have done. Please don't intervene and falsely accuse an individiual. This type of behaviour is very demeaning. Thank you. Shink77 (talk) 21:17, 7 July 2025 (UTC)[reply]

Information icon Welcome to Wikipedia, and thank you for your contributions. Although everyone is welcome to contribute constructively to the encyclopedia, please note that there is a Manual of Style that should be followed to maintain a consistent, encyclopedic appearance. Deviating from this style, as you did in Yo Yo Honey Singh, disturbs uniformity among articles and may cause readability or accessibility problems. Please take a look at the welcome page to learn more about contributing to this encyclopedia. Album titles shouldn't be bold per MOS:BOLD, articles shouldn't link to pages which redirect back on themselves per MOS:CIRCULAR. Belbury (talk) 20:44, 22 June 2025 (UTC)[reply]

I myself reverted album titles from being bold, I'm not convinced by the accusation you are putting on me. Thank you. Shink77 (talk) 21:19, 7 July 2025 (UTC)[reply]
No, you were reverting the titles to make them bold ([1], [2]). That's why I posted that notice above. It was myself and The Squirrel Conspiracy who were removing the boldface from them, per MOS:BOLD. Belbury (talk) 22:18, 7 July 2025 (UTC)[reply]

Information icon Please do not remove maintenance templates from pages on Wikipedia, as you did to Yo Yo Honey Singh, without resolving the problem that the template refers to, or giving a valid reason for the removal in the edit summary. Edit warring on Yo Yo Honey Singh

[edit]

Information icon Hi Shink77! I noticed that you have reverted to restore your preferred version of Yo Yo Honey Singh several times. The impulse to undo an edit you disagree with is understandable, but I wanted to make sure you're aware that the edit warring policy disallows repeated reversions even if they are justifiable.

All editors are expected to discuss content disputes on article talk pages to try to reach consensus. If you are unable to agree at Talk:Yo Yo Honey Singh, please use one of the dispute resolution options to seek input from others. Using this approach instead of reverting can help you avoid getting drawn into an edit war. Thank you. Belbury (talk) 14:45, 30 June 2025 (UTC)[reply]

Hi Belbury! Actually the fact of the matter is that unnecessary changes without verifiable sources which are made to the articles have to reverted. Next time onwards, please edit mindfully and use better sources if you have to change something and help improve the article. Thank you. Shink77 (talk) 21:15, 7 July 2025 (UTC)[reply]

Information icon Please do not add unreferenced or poorly referenced information, especially if controversial, to articles or any other page on Wikipedia about living (or recently deceased) persons, as you did to Yo Yo Honey Singh. Wikipedia cannot say that a person has Bipolar Disorder with psychotic symptoms which developed as a result of heavy alcoholism & drug abuse on the basis of one quote which describes alcoholism as having generally "aggravated" his condition, and one source which discusses the links between drug abuse and bipolar disorder without making any explicit statement on a link in Singh's case. Belbury (talk) 20:50, 7 July 2025 (UTC)[reply]

Please have some basic human understanding and IQ and read the articles which have been stated. I have added another article of Singh's interview with The Lallantop on YouTube, It's free to access please spare some time and do watch it other than hallucinating about things your own way and deflecting from the statement of the Mr. Singh on The Lallantop, on whom the article is based upon. Shink77 (talk) 21:08, 7 July 2025 (UTC)[reply]
Please don't insult fellow editors.
Thanks for adding a source that I was asking for, when the existing footnotes didn't cover the statement that you were making. I don't speak the language the video is in, so I can't check it right now.
Please remember that sources should always go into the actual article rather than just being mentioned an edit summary. Belbury (talk) 21:51, 7 July 2025 (UTC)[reply]
I'm not insulting anyone it's just better to know more about a subject matter, you're editing than to plainly do some "guess work" Thank you. Shink77 (talk) 22:22, 7 July 2025 (UTC)[reply]
You said I had no basic human understanding, no IQ, and was hallucinating. This is insulting language.
I'm also not applying "guess work". I'm reading a sentence, reading the cited source, and if that sentence doesn't match the source, flagging this as needing further attention. Belbury (talk) 22:24, 7 July 2025 (UTC)[reply]
I said "Please have some basic human understanding and IQ and read the articles which have been stated", which effectively everyone should I didn't deny that you had none. Please read the sentences carefully and cautiously. And please do not edit articles of a subject which you yourself are not aware regarding or understand anything about them cause it would look like you're "hallucinating" during editing. Thank you. Information icon Hi Shink77! I noticed that you recently made an edit at Badshah (rapper) and marked it as "minor", but it may not have been. On Wikipedia, "minor edit" refers only to superficial edits that could never be disputed, such as fixing typos or reverting obvious vandalism. Any edit that changes the meaning of an article is not minor, even if it only concerns a single word. You are using the minor edit checkbox for nearly all of your edits and quite often using it inappropriately. For example, this edit CLEARLY does not meet the minor edit criteria. [3], [4] are other blatantly obvious examples. Ravensfire (talk) 02:32, 21 August 2025 (UTC)[reply]

You currently appear to be engaged in an edit war according to the reverts you have made on Yo Yo Honey Singh. This means that you are repeatedly changing content back to how you think it should be although other editors disagree. Users are expected to collaborate with others, to avoid editing disruptively, and to try to reach a consensus, rather than repeatedly undoing other users' edits once it is known that there is a disagreement.

Points to note:

  1. Edit warring is disruptive regardless of how many reverts you have made;
  2. Do not edit war even if you believe you are right.

If you find yourself in an editing dispute, use the article's talk page to discuss controversial changes and work towards a version that represents consensus among editors. You can post a request for help at an appropriate noticeboard or seek dispute resolution. In some cases, it may be appropriate to request temporary page protection. If you engage in an edit war, you may be blocked from editing. CNMall41 (talk) 16:02, 26 August 2025 (UTC)[reply]

Are you using WP:LLM? If not, you are adding WP:FAKEREFs. It appears you have been warned numerous times about adding poorly referenced material yet continue to do so. CNMall41 (talk) 19:56, 25 August 2025 (UTC)[reply]

Can you speak Punjabi and Hindi? If not I would request you not to remove reliable Interview sources which are spoken in them. English Grammar and tone correction are welcomed. Shink77 (talk) 12:03, 26 August 2025 (UTC)[reply]
The question was simple yet you deflected. You are either using LLM or you are intentionally using FAKEREFs. Either way it is unacceptable as you are adding content that does not have correct sourcing. --CNMall41 (talk) 15:55, 26 August 2025 (UTC)[reply]
You are the one removing articles stated in my native languages and are playing the victim card. I will once again ask, do you know Punjabi or Hindi? if you do not, then how can I expect you to edit a page which has articles sources mentioned in them. Your silence in this matter speaks volumes stating that you might be a foreinger who isn't doing his job properly and sticking his nose into matters where there is no need and vandalising the page. Do better. Get a job instead of attacking one's entire page. Doesn't seem to be a patient editor who goes section wise. Shink77 (talk) 06:46, 27 August 2025 (UTC)[reply]

Reverting edits to Yo Yo Honey Singh

[edit]

Stop icon Your recent editing history at Yo Yo Honey Singh shows that you are currently engaged in an edit war. An edit war occurs when two or more users begin repeatedly changing content—in a back-and-forth fashion—back to how they think it should be, despite knowing that other editors disagree with their changes. To resolve the content dispute, please do not revert or change the edits of others when you are reverted. Instead of reverting, please use the talk page to work toward creating a version of the page that represents consensus among the editors involved. The best practice at this stage is to discuss the disagreements, issues, and concerns at-hand, not to engage in edit-warring. Wikipedia provides a page that details how this is accomplished. If discussions reach an impasse, you can then post a request for help at a relevant noticeboard or seek dispute resolution. In some cases, you may wish to request temporary page protection.

Being involved in an edit war can result in you being blocked from editing—especially if you violate the three-revert rule, which states that an editor must not perform more than three reverts on a single page within a 24-hour period. Undoing another editor's work—whether in whole or in part, whether involving the same or different material each time—counts as a revert. Also, please keep in mind that while violating the three-revert rule often leads to a block, you can still be blocked for edit warring—even if you do not violate the three-revert rule—should your behavior indicate that you intend to continue reverting repeatedly.
