Brain Rot articl
[edit]Dear Belbury,
I noticed that you reversed all changes made to the Brain Rot page. This is the final version of the IEEE peer-reviewed paper, and you can read the source if you click the DOI. The link is to the author's archived version which may be legally posted online. Thus, the content is final. I agree that some parts of the second entry were too long and need improvement. I will redo them. Thank you for letting me know. AlCan787 (talk) 17:42, 6 September 2025 (UTC)
Concerning the Removal of My Link
[edit]I noticed that you withdrew the link I added. I think this approach is inappropriate. If there is an issue, it should be discussed in the discussion section rather than being withdrawn unilaterally. Jaroslav Radomír (talk) 12:51, 7 September 2025 (UTC)

Possible sock account impersonating you
[edit]Hey there,
I'm going out on a limb and assuming that Lordbelbury (talk · contribs) is impersonating you, since they reverted a bunch of edits that you made. I've reported them to WP:AIV. Just FYI. ConnerTT (talk) 16:55, 9 September 2025 (UTC)

Devastations of osorio
[edit]Hello! How can I upload images created with AI and prevent them from being deleted?
Risantana (talk) 02:48, 11 September 2025 (UTC)
- @Risantana: The English Wikipedia project generally doesn't use images created with AI. See WP:AIIMAGES. Belbury (talk) 07:36, 11 September 2025 (UTC)
On the Kasserine pass...
[edit]Hello, i received your edit, and your topic on my page and, as told i came here to talk about it.
The article in question is ambiguous at best, the problem is that it have been a consensus that the Germans won at Kasserine, the fact that they withdrew after taking the ground because the gain was useless shouldn't overcome the fact that the objective of taking the ground and defeat the Americans in front was achieved by the Germans. Also must be remembered the views on the battle by Allied commanders, and the reasons for the reshuffle of the command of the Allied side. The movement out of the pass by the Germans it's more related to acquire a better position that a physical defeat. When the article was created there had been a kind of edit warring. However to avoid that, i want to let you some sources on the outcome of the battle, well described. Pointing to a German victory despite the redeployment of the Axis forces after the battle. (At least all agree that on the tactical level the victory was a German one.) And no one suggest an Allied victory, even if it could have been worst, or they recovered the land, the balance of the battle is always that the German had a better outcome than the Allied forces. Here are just a few, and all already accepted by Wikipedia.

I need help
[edit]Thanks for helping me with the article on the devastations of Osorio. I wanted to see if you could help me with something. There are some images I uploaded to Wikipedia when I was a very young Wikipedian that are poorly done and poorly drawn. I've uploaded better versions of those images, but the old, poorly drawn ones are still around. Would you help me delete them?
Hugs! Risantana (talk) 16:11, 14 September 2025 (UTC)
- @Risantana: Sure, if the images are no longer in use anywhere then that should be fine. If you give me a list of the files then I can start a deletion request for them on Commons for you. Belbury (talk) 16:21, 14 September 2025 (UTC)
- Thanks! I'm going to work on them right now. Risantana (talk) 16:32, 14 September 2025 (UTC)

- @Risantana: Deleting images you've uploaded yourself in the past few days is an easy one! You can just edit the file page and add
{{G7}}to the top - it means "author or uploader request deletion", and the file will be removed within a few hours by an admin. - Files only need a full deletion discussion when they were uploaded more than a week ago. Belbury (talk) 08:19, 18 September 2025 (UTC)

Removal of Global South (Cameroon) knowledge/information on Wikis
[edit]I have read your message. While I do understand your concerns, I want to be clear right now that Camsol.io's blogs share and expand on knowledge in the Global South (specifically Cameroon). The external links you removed from almost all of my posts are just that: external links. No marketing, no advertising whatsoever. These are first-hand accounts written (and fact-based) of what is happening there. I have no [marketing] affiliation with them, and I am only a citizen of the Global South who seeks to expand and share knowledge on what is currently the state of affairs down there.
You removing external links on the basis of affiliation/marketing is quite unfair. Do you not want readers knowing how accessibility issues are addressed in Cameroon? Must all examples come from Europe and North America? I have rarely seen examples on such posts about Africa (and specific African nations) and when this knowledge is finally coming up, it gets removed. I do not believe there are people who write about (or compare) the state of affairs in Cameroon regarding topics such as those you redacted (curb cut effect, disability and inclusion, accessibility etc.). Issues like these are not exclusive to the West, and so, it is important for the world and readers of Wikipedia to know about how these issues are addressed here. You open a page like web inclusion (for example) and all statistics and examples come from North America, Europe, and Asia. Very little about Africa, or specific African countries.
I only recently came across the content from Camsol.io, and I can see they are working hard to expand and publish knowledge in Cameroon (Global South/Africa) and personally, I see this as a direct attack on the knowledge that comes from this area. This is limiting exposure about what is going on here. Ppj2dd (talk) 20:38, 22 September 2025 (UTC)
- @Ppj2dd: See WP:REFSPAM, all your edits were adding camsol.io as a source. Anonymous blog entries are not reliable sources. The site also appears to be using AI-generated content. Feel free to write about accessibility issues in Cameroon using other sources. Belbury (talk) 09:21, 25 September 2025 (UTC)
- @Belbury These "blog" entries are not anonymous. You have a registered company with a physical, reachable address. Camsol.io is not anonymous. Sorry they are not the UN. Isn't all that is on the Internet today AI-generated? But that is besides the point. It is for precisely the reason (lack of other sources) that the posts by Camsol.io are stated as externatl sources. There is very little information about these issues (and several more) in Cameroon, and camsol.io has started talking about them, finally a much needed awareness, and you are blocking it. Rocket Riding bolded
[edit]I'm not sure your interpretation of MOS:BOLDREDIRECT is correct in this instance. The guideline there notes terms are commonly bolded when they appear in the first couple of paragraphs of the lead section, or at the beginning of another section. Rocket Riding redirects to the Other Variations section and the term doesn't appear until later in that section so I don't think it should be bolded. Amstrad00 (talk) 13:48, 3 October 2025 (UTC)
- @Amstrad00: Well, it's near the beginning. WP:RASTONISH is a little looser in specifying
first couple of paragraphs of the article or section
, and the paragraph could be moved up if this is the only related term mentioned in the article. - I'm not taking any strong view on it, though, it was more in deference to whoever had originally bolded it in the first place. I assume some reading of the MOS on redirects was their reason. Belbury (talk) 18:43, 6 October 2025 (UTC)
Light pollution
[edit]You did not respond to the comments I made in October 2024. If you do not have stronger arguments, please stop reverting my edits, or I will propose that this situation be treated as an edit war. This topic is in my area of expertise, and you are even citing references from an organization whose board I served on when that definition was decided. I believe I have a better understanding of the original intent.
