Alltroo Draft Response
[edit]Hi @CNMall41 — appreciate your note. The Sports Business Journal piece includes discussion of Alltroo’s founding, operations, and fundraising totals, which extends beyond a simple partnership announcement. Along with the Twin Cities Business feature and the People Magazine profile, I believe these three meet WP:THREE and satisfy WP:CORPDEPTH.
Let me know if i should continue to look for other sources though! Hbronken (talk) 19:31, 8 October 2025 (UTC)
- @Hbronken:, thanks for the note. For the People.com reference, what part of that meets WP:CORPDEPTH about Alltroo? The reference is about a campaign and says that it is on the platform, but nothing in-depth about the platform itself. The Twin Cities Business reference looks fine. The SBJ source I still believe is routine coverage and would not meet CORPDEPTH as stated in the note at the top of the draft. --CNMall41 (talk) 19:52, 8 October 2025 (UTC)
- Thanks for the fast response! Let me do some more digging on sources! Hbronken (talk) 19:56, 8 October 2025 (UTC)
Point72 updates
[edit]Hi CNMall41, as per your feedback, I opened a new request here: Talk:Point72 Asset Management#Tweak language, subsection names, including quotes from the paywalled articles. I'd appreciate you taking a minute to look over the request to further update the article. Thank you Mrsnewyork (talk) 16:25, 9 October 2025 (UTC)
- @Mrsnewyork:, Thanks for the note and the ping. I took a look and think it would be best for me to pass on this and allow another reviewer to take a look. As it stands, the propose addition removes the origin history and since Point72 has its origins in S.A.C, I think leaving that would be relevant. I am also on the fence about the second request as I still think it is WP:SYNTH but I am pretty strict when it comes to SYNTH so another may implement the request. --CNMall41 (talk) 02:33, 10 October 2025 (UTC)

- See your talk page. The draft you submitted was moved to the mainspace weeks ago. --CNMall41 (talk) 02:28, 11 October 2025 (UTC)
- Sorry, maybe you were asking about Enpaia Foundation? It has been moved to mainspace. --CNMall41 (talk) 05:48, 21 October 2025 (UTC)
I wanted to let you know that I have gone ahead and promoted Draft:Wicked: For Good – The Soundtrack to mainspace. No disrespect intended, but I disagreed with your decision to decline at the time (I thought the Variety article alone was substantial enough). I have added another source of comparable depth. Given the subject matter, I see no reasonable prospect of this being successfully nominated for deletion, and I don't see how continuing its existence as a draft benefits the reader. BD2412 T 21:54, 11 October 2025 (UTC)
- No disrespect intended here either, but I still disagree. The sources are mainly announcements, no reviews, no charting, etc. I will agree with you about the deletion discussion though. With it being so close to the release date, I doubt anyone would bother nominating it and if they did I doubt people would vote to delete it since it will be out in the next 30 days. --CNMall41 (talk) 00:16, 12 October 2025 (UTC)
Requesting Your Guidance
[edit]You declined requests I made and wondering if you can tell me what to do. I thought the request was specific, but not understanding what else I would need to add. I am confused, but want to follow the rules so if you can guide me I would be thankful. CcpbPb (talk) 23:23, 12 October 2025 (UTC)
- @CcpbPb:,The best links I can share are WP:PLAINSIMPLECOI and WP:COIREQ which can guide you. --CNMall41 (talk) 03:24, 13 October 2025 (UTC)
- (talk page watcher) When dealing with a new editor like this, a little actual guidance, rather than an alphabet link to another guideline, is likely to be more helpful. BD2412 T 23:40, 13 October 2025 (UTC)
- @BD2412:, normally I would agree and I am very helpful with guiding COI editors. Based on this and this I think the editor seeking advice was given plenty of advice on how to move forward. --CNMall41 (talk) 04:20, 14 October 2025 (UTC)
- Okay, I will admit that I am coming out of SOCK fatigue at the moment and the Wikistress is not good to come out towards anyone, especially someone attempting to follow the rules. I will look at this more tomorrow. --CNMall41 (talk) 05:08, 14 October 2025 (UTC)
- I do appreciate the fatigue and the stress of dealing with these situations, but even a broken clock is right twice a day. If an editor suggests a valid improvement to an article, like a typo fix or removal of content so trivial as to be undue, I would consider whether the edit will improve the article without giving a lot of thought to the motivations behind it. Cheers! BD2412 T 15:41, 14 October 2025 (UTC)

[edit]Hi CNMall41. Rocket Companies recently acquired Mr. Cooper Group. Would you be willing to take a look at the edit request I posted here: https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Talk:Mr._Cooper_Group#Controversies_section? Thanks so much, Annie13478 (talk) 10:31, 16 October 2025 (UTC)
- Sure. I will look a little later if no one else gets there first. --CNMall41 (talk) 16:19, 16 October 2025 (UTC)
- @Annie13478:, I took a quick look. The WP:NOCRIT heading is not a problem as it should be removed. Will just need to determine what information is suitable for the history section and ensure WP:NPOV. I think the best course initially would be to update the subheadings by years. Will do that a little later as I'm stepping away for a couple hours. Going forward, please ping me at the talk page so the conversation can stay in a single place. Cheers! --CNMall41 (talk) 16:50, 16 October 2025 (UTC)

Draft rejection
[edit]Yesterday I submitted Draft:Ink (upcoming film) for creation and I'm a little confused as to why you rejected it. Sources reported that the film had begun production, which I think makes it notable. WP:NFF states that for an upcoming film to have an article it needs to have both begun filming (check) and had the production reported by reliable sources (check).
This isn't me being bitter, I just want to know what I can do to get this draft up to standard. Since the rejection I've added a reference on the production start from BBC, if that adds any credibility. ThanatosApprentice (talk) 17:25, 17 October 2025 (UTC)
- @ThanatosApprentice:, I understand. It wasn't a rejection, just a decline. You are free to work on it and resubmit if you feel it is notable. The decline is based on the portion of NFF that says,
"Additionally, films that have already begun shooting, but have not yet been publicly released (theatres or video), should generally not have their own articles unless the production itself is notable per the notability guidelines."
. Most films are not going to be notable based on the promotional press announcements. I am only one opinion though. You could as at the WikiProject Film project to see if anyone has an opposite opinion. --CNMall41 (talk) 17:33, 17 October 2025 (UTC)

My goggles only show the surface layers. 🇵🇸🇺🇦 FiddleTimtrent FaddleTalk to me 🇺🇦🇵🇸 17:34, 20 October 2025 (UTC)
- Honestly, based on my experience, they are using different IPs from different locations so behavioral evidence will need to be evaluated. At SPI, CU is relied on heavily so there would need to be a lot of differences shows for SOCK. MEAT is clear at least. I know that their incivility, along with the other account I suspect they are MEATing with have long past the community's threshold so ANI would be the better option in my opinion. --CNMall41 (talk) 17:39, 20 October 2025 (UTC)

[edit]Hi CNMall41, thanks for the note re 'errant decline,' on Draft:Salcedo Auctions, I appreciate you taking another look at the draft! Regarding potential AI content, I did use AI models to check for grammar, but the article itself was written solely based off the sources I gathered on the topic and were cited accordingly. I think some sentences were reworded/structurally modified by the AI, it's possible I overlooked that. Although, I welcome any other feedback and revisions that could help improve the draft/increase its chances of being moved to the main space. Let me know if there's anything else I can clarify, thanks! M.reyes1987 (talk) 06:32, 21 October 2025 (UTC)

- It's OK as it is. Just trying to cut down on admin's workload where possible. There's overlap with another previously blocked sock at that article - I'll comment at the SPI. Wikishovel (talk) 16:45, 22 October 2025 (UTC)
- Got it. I will move it you want. No issues. My experience has been when I start to add more SOCKs to an already filed SPI, it tends to slow things down. --CNMall41 (talk) 16:48, 22 October 2025 (UTC)

Draft:48_Hour_Film_Challenge
[edit]Hi, I am trying to do some more work on the draft submission I created and wonder if you could offer some advice on the feedback you have provided?
You say "This submission is not adequately supported by reliable sources" but when I check the information on reliable sources I am unsure of how my sources do not comply. In many instances the sources I have provided are in peer reviewed academic journals. Surely this is a reliable source?
Could you help me understand why you believe the sources I have provided are unreliable?
You say "Encyclopedia articles need to be written from a neutral point of view, and should refer to a range of independent, reliable, published sources, not just to materials produced by the creator of the subject being discussed" while I understand the tone may need editing and I can work on that. The sources I have used refer to a wide range of published sources including a range of different 48 hour film challenge organisers. The article doesn't just refer to sources or materials produced by me.
Can you help me understand what is going on here and what the problem is so I can fix it?
I appreciate that I am a novice and I can learn to write in a more encylcopedic style, I am more than happy to try and do this. It seems thopugh that there are other issues at play that I need to fix first.
Are you able to help me workj through these issues and fix them?
What thanks

- @RoyHanney:, sorry that my review was "vague, obtuse and unhelpful." I guess the comments made by myself and previous reviewers as well as links to the appropriate guidelines were not useful. First, let's start with disclosure. Please read WP:COI and make the appropriate disclosure regarding your conflict of interest. Once that is done, feel free to ask specific questions you may have about the submission decline. --CNMall41 (talk) 16:26, 23 October 2025 (UTC)
