I hope you enjoy editing here and being a Wikipedian! Again, welcome! —TechnoSquirrel69 (sigh) 04:35, 2 January 2025 (UTC)
- Also, really nice work on the Only Yesterday article so far! If you're interested in working on Ghibli-related articles on Wikipedia, I would suggest joining the task force. There are a few other editors who've worked in these areas signed up there — it has been dormant for a while, but that, of course, can change. - @TechnoSquirrel69 ahhhhhhh thank you!!! ;-;
- thank you for cleaning up the page too! i've mostly been focused on kurosawa (trying to do more with drunken angel and dersu uzala) but i plan to continue working on only yesterday + other articles somewhat, it'd be nice to coordinate more with yourself (and others). please bear with me and my mistakes!! よろしくお願いします!!--Plifal (talk) 05:27, 2 January 2025 (UTC)

- @Remsense, ahhh thank you! ;_; that means a lot. you probably don't remember but we've interacted a few times on the meiji restoration and other pages, and i highly respect your opinion as an editor.
- currently there's a peer review open as i'm seeking to take high and low to featured article status. if you have the time and the inclination, i would very much appreciate any additional comments you have. thank you again for your kind words!--Plifal (talk) 01:15, 1 June 2025 (UTC)
- Oh, thank you also! As you can see, I spent a bit of time tweaking things I'm of a disposition to notice. If you have questions about any, please let me know! Remsense ‥ 论 01:16, 1 June 2025 (UTC)
- @Remsense, i think i understand the implementation for the policy, it will just likely take me a while to pick up where i missed it and incorporate it more. as such i'm very appreciative of the time you take to fix such mistakes. the only thing i will query is the mdy format, but that's not a big deal! thank you for reaching out and offering your support!!-Plifal (talk) 01:30, 1 June 2025 (UTC)

Drunken Angel
[edit]Hi there. You've been very active on this article recently - thanks. Could you sort out a couple of discrepancies it now has? Firstly, you added the 'Use British English' template a few weeks ago, which is fine with me as a Brit, although I haven't reread the article to check for British useage. Secondly, however, it also has 'Use mdy dates'. As far as I know, it's not a rule but generally people use dmy dates with British English. There are now some date formatting discrepancies:
- Infobox says "27 April 1948"
- Lead and Production say "March 10 1948", without a comma after the 10
- Theatrical says "April 27 1948", without a comma after the 27
- Bibliography entries use mdy format
I'll leave it to you. I don't mind whichever way you decide (with a slight preference for British + dmy throughout). Masato.harada (talk) 16:07, 15 August 2025 (UTC)
- Masato.harada, sure! i just used what was already present (with mistakes arising from habit). iirc the prose was inconsistent beforehand so i decided to use british english since i default to that, and mdy was used so i'm planning to stick to that too, whereas e.g. high and low (1963) used inconsistent engvar and dmy dates so i defaulted to breng and dmy, and rhapsody in august (1991) used ameng and mdy so i'm defaulting to that. apologies for the inconsistencies as they occur. i plan to clean it up, but since i'm going through the article to write it thoroughly, it's not a priority for me. equally if you would like to change it i don't have any qualms about it, engvar and dates don't matter much to me so long as it's generally consistent and agreed upon. thank you for your oversight!!!--Plifal (talk) 17:03, 15 August 2025 (UTC)
