Your submission at Articles for creation: Markus Soegiarto (January 2)

[edit]
Your recent article submission to Articles for Creation has been reviewed. Unfortunately, it has not been accepted at this time. The reasons left by KylieTastic were:
This submission's references do not show that the subject qualifies for a Wikipedia article—that is, they do not show significant coverage (not just passing mentions) about the subject in published, reliable, secondary sources that are independent of the subject (see the guidelines on the notability of people). Before any resubmission, additional references meeting these criteria should be added (see technical help and learn about mistakes to avoid when addressing this issue). If no additional references exist, the subject is not suitable for Wikipedia.
This submission is not adequately supported by reliable sources. Reliable sources are required so that information can be verified. If you need help with referencing, please see Referencing for beginners and Citing sources.
Please check the submission for any additional comments left by the reviewer. You are encouraged to edit the submission to address the issues raised and resubmit after they have been resolved.

Hi, regarding the points in your email: if you have information that Draft:Markus Soegiarto is notable it needs to be added to the article. Much of the article remains unsourced or has sources that do not mention the subject and verify the claims. Your source this is just a mention. All new articles on Wikipedia have to show the subject is notable (See WP:N) which in most cases requires significant coverage (WP:SIGCOV) in multiple independent (WP:INDY) reliable sources (WP:RS). Being invited to speak at an event some think is notable is not notable by Wikipedia standards. Regards KylieTastic (talk) 22:42, 9 January 2024 (UTC)[reply]
Dear Kylie Tastic,
I hope this finds you okay. The available links show Markus Soegiarto's recent involvement in public events, covered by the media, in his role as an educator and cultural activist preserving kolintang traditions.
ISI Yogyakarta Masterclass: Making Kolintang Easily Accessible

Jogja Japan Week 2023: Enriching Sleman City Hall with Japanese Culture

While recognizing that the coverage may not be from a major outlet like The New York Times, our mission is clear. We are trying to protect Indonesia from the flood of foreign culture through Wikipedia while ensuring a balanced narrative.
Warm regards,

Thank you for the review. I understand the notability concern. I’m currently collecting more reliable, independent sources with significant coverage to support the subject’s notability. By the way, in the Indonesian context, the available references are generally considered sufficient, as the subject is already nationally recognized. I’ll revise and resubmit accordingly.
Kind regards,

Your recent article submission to Articles for Creation has been reviewed. Unfortunately, it has not been accepted at this time. The reason left by Qcne was:
Your draft shows signs of having been generated by a large language model, such as ChatGPT. Their outputs usually have multiple issues that prevent them from meeting our guidelines on writing articles. These include:
Please address these issues. The best way is usually to read reliable sources and summarize them, instead of using a large language model. See our help page on large language models.
The comment the reviewer left was:
This was AI-generated, as it contained an AI-generated malformed decline notice. Please very carefully review all the sources for accuracy and all the language.
Please check the submission for any additional comments left by the reviewer. You are encouraged to edit the submission to address the issues raised and resubmit after they have been resolved.
qcne (talk) 20:07, 22 July 2025 (UTC)[reply]
Thank you for reviewing the submission. I would like to clarify that this draft is not AI-generated. It is a manual translation and adaptation of an article I originally wrote in Indonesian Wikipedia, based on reliable sources and written in my own words.
Here is the link to the original article I translated from: https://id.wikipedia.org/wiki/Indonesian_National_Orchestra. I translated and adapted the content manually, and for any red links or missing pages on en.wikipedia.org, I’ve been editing or creating them one by one. Please let me know if there’s anything else I should improve. Now adding

Hi @Nanasarna.pers. If it wasn't AI generated, how did it includ a malformed AI-generated decline notice which we are only seeing in drafts which have been created in ChatGPT? qcne (talk) 13:06, 25 July 2025 (UTC)[reply]
Thank you for the review. I have removed the malformed AI-generated submission template and revised the article with improved language and neutral tone. All sources have been re-checked for accuracy. I appreciate your feedback and welcome further suggestions. Nanasarna.pers (talk) 14:13, 26 July 2025 (UTC)[reply]

AfC notification: Draft:Indonesian National Orchestra has a new comment

[edit]
I've left a comment on your Articles for Creation submission, which can be viewed at Draft:Indonesian National Orchestra. Thanks! DoubleGrazing (talk) 08:28, 25 July 2025 (UTC)[reply]
I've taken your feedback into account and revised the Media coverage section accordingly. Rather than listing the sources, I've included a few relevant summaries and quotes to illustrate how the orchestra has been covered and to better reflect its notability. I'm open to further input if there's anything that still needs improvement. Nanasarna.pers (talk) 14:36, 26 July 2025 (UTC)[reply]
Your recent article submission to Articles for Creation has been reviewed. Unfortunately, it has not been accepted at this time. The reason left by MediaKyle was:
This submission appears to read more like an advertisement than an entry in an encyclopedia. Encyclopedia articles need to be written from a neutral point of view, and should refer to a range of independent, reliable, published sources, not just to materials produced by the creator of the subject being discussed. This is important so that the article can meet Wikipedia's verifiability policy and the notability of the subject can be established. If you still feel that this subject is worthy of inclusion in Wikipedia, please rewrite your submission to comply with these policies.
Please check the submission for any additional comments left by the reviewer. You are encouraged to edit the submission to address the issues raised and resubmit after they have been resolved.
