Hiya @Bruinmuse I had a look at Draft:ASTRA Su and it's nowhere near the standard required of a wikipedia article. I would advise finding three examples of significant coverage in reliable sources to base the article on. Feel free to post them here if you want feedback. Looking at Special:Contributions/Bruinmuse I can see you have been working at both User:Bruinmuse/sandbox and Draft:ASTRA Su so perhaps that explains the confusion. @Kvinnen good question - there's a few ways to check on this. You could make sure to have ping notifications turned on or you can use your watchlist to keep an eye on the page in question since that logs the most recent change. Help:Watchlist has more on that. Hi @Gmoods9 and welcome to wikipedia! I checked your edits on History of Canada and found them to be ok. What has happened is that an antivandalism tool has been too vigilant and reverted you. As a guess i would say you triggered an automated filter by changing early to older, even though your new version is better. You can report this false positive at User:ClueBot NG/FalsePositives if you want to or you can move on to pastures new. I could see these things by looking at the article history - https://en.wikipedia.org/w/index.php?title=History_of_Canada&action=history. Hi @Faithjohnny, first off do you have a connection to Emah Trinity? That's ok but would need to be disclosed. Next, if you want to write about her, you will need to find significant coverage in reliable sources independent of the subject. It may become apparent that despite her notability to you, she is not (yet) notable on wikipedia standards as an encyclopedia. In terms of images, all questions will hopefully be answered by reading Help:Pictures. In terms of an article title, that would be made when the article is published on wikipedia, but at the moment it certainly would not be, as it lacks sources. It looks like you are using Wikipedia via the mobile view. On the mobile view, level 2 headings are automatically a drop-down. The 'references' section of articles uses a level 2 heading. Hello sir, I need your help. Actually, I recently had a long discussion with another editor in relation to a biography of a living person, Parag Jain, who is an Indian bureaucrat and Intelligence officer recently appointed as the head of the Indian government intelligence agency (equivalent to the American CIA). In that, the editor wanted to add some negative details about Parag Jain which were not taken from any reliable source, and no media organization has reported on that matter either, but still, he wants to include those details in the article, which is against Wikipedia's policy on BLP. But still, when I and another experienced editor pointed out that this information cannot be included in Parag Jain's article because it is poorly sourced and no other media organization has reported about it, he started making baseless accusations against both of us that we are pro-Indian government biased, even though that is not true. Hi @Umar Choudhary8, that's a shame you are having issues with another editor but it does happen occasionally. You have done the right thing by discussing the issue on the talk, if you need more eyes on the article you could ask at Wikipedia:WikiProject India and if the editor does make accusations you may need to report them at Wikipedia:Administrators' noticeboard, although that is really the last resort. Hi @Homosapien 002 that's an excellent question. a lot would depend on the source, ie is the fact cited to a reliable source eg a national newspaper (good) or to eg the subject's own website (bad). also there can be word which suggest promo or flattery, as outlined at Wikipedia:Manual of Style/Words to watch#Puffery. if this is too vague, feel free to give me a concrete example. happy editing! And you have already been given excellent advice, namely - "This submission's references do not show that the subject qualifies for a Wikipedia article—that is, they do not show significant coverage (not just passing mentions) about the subject in published, reliable, secondary sources that are independent of the subject (see the guidelines on the notability of people). Before any resubmission, additional references meeting these criteria should be added (see technical help and learn about mistakes to avoid when addressing this issue). Hello, i've been having a visual issue with citations. On the Dawsonville, Maryland article, I reused an existing citation within a template, which created an unexpected result: while in editing mode, the number of references is shown correctly, but when viewing the article normally, one of the citations is duplicated. I created my account to edit this page : https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Texas_Instruments Indeed, after having read TI was in the top 10 I wondered what were the other companies, but the source is outdated, I struggled to find the info on wayback machine, and the link currently shows market cap (not sales values) for TI at #13 position.

So I'd think okay I will just change the 10 to 20, but I don't know if I also need to create a wayback archive link, and all that stuff.

I notice a number of articles do not contain an "Edit Source" link, while most others do. These do not seem to be especially controversial topics. If it matters, I previously edited about a dozen articles before being required to create an account (today) but the issue of missing "Edit Source" links seems unrelated to whether I am logged in or not. --Kevinmail (talk) 02:43, 13 November 2025 (UTC)[reply]

Update to my comment/question: I see now that the articles where editing is not offered are actually deemed subject to "vandalism", so now I know why I cannot make even minor edits there. Hi @Kevinmail, yes some pages are protected against vandalism, some are protected against other things too. Wikipedia:Protection policy tells you more about that. Hi Mujinga -- I came across to a link (in a page's reference area) that linked to a PDF. When I clicked on the link, I received a 404, but wasn't sure how to remove the hyperlink -- assuming that's what I should do.
