Future dates
[edit]What calendar are you operating under?... "September 13, 2021 was over half a month ago"?... It's only August 31/September 1 right now (depending on timezones). Please stop incorrectly changing things to past tense when they have clearly not occurred yet, thank you. Magitroopa (talk) 20:19, 31 August 2021 (UTC)
- When I went to read the article, I started to erroneously think it was late September instead of late August and it took until your second revert for me to realize my mistake. – MrPersonHumanGuy (talk) 22:31, 31 August 2021 (UTC)
Self-whale... for when a trout just isn't enough, though this condemning conundrum could conceivably call for a colossal coordinated collision course with Cthulhu or a larger leviathan instead, but additional whales and trouts may be used for good measure.
'istorical
[edit]Re your query at Darius the Mede, the 'h' is indeed silent in various English dialects for historical (along with other words derived from French starting with h followed by a vowel), and those speakers preface the words with 'an' instead of 'a'. But yeah, it's awful. Thankfully, it is becoming less common. Feel free to fix any such instances. 🙂--Jeffro77 (talk) 00:34, 6 September 2021 (UTC)
National varieties of English
[edit]
Hello. In a recent edit to the page Flag of Ghana, you changed one or more words or styles from one national variety of English to another. Because Wikipedia has readers from all over the world, our policy is to respect national varieties of English in Wikipedia articles.
For a subject exclusively related to the United Kingdom (for example, a famous British person), use British English. For something related to the United States in the same way, use American English. For something related to another English-speaking country, such as Canada, Australia, New Zealand, Ireland, India, or Pakistan use the variety of English used there. For an international topic, use the form of English that the original author of the article used.
In view of that, please don't change articles from one version of English to another, even if you don't normally use the version in which the article is written. Respect other people's versions of English. They, in turn, should respect yours. Other general guidelines on how Wikipedia articles are written can be found in the Manual of Style. If you have any questions about this, you can ask me on my talk page or visit the help desk. Thank you. —Wasell(T) 🌻 04:24, 30 June 2022 (UTC)

Hello, MrPersonHumanGuy,
I find it worrisome than instead of working on improving the encyclopedia, you are spending a lot of your time on a User page about a one day event happening 8 months into the future. On this page, you have fictitious comments made by editors in 2025 so they are entirely made up remarks but they are attributed to real people. This page could easily be tagged for CSD U5 speedy deletion as it has nothing to do with building up this project and is like some hobby or webhost activity.
But rather than tagging this page for deletion, right now, I'd like to instead encourage you to spend more of your time on productive activities that help improve Wikipedia like copy-editing, anti-vandalism, article creation and improvement, all of the mundane tasks that most editors fill their time doing rather than working on personal projects in your User space. April 1st is just one day out of an entire year and your skills and talents could be used right now. If you have questions about this, please bring them to the Teahouse. Thank you. Liz Read! Talk! 05:50, 31 August 2024 (UTC)
- I'll admit that, since April of this year, I have sometimes gotten quite carried away with figuring out how I would outdo myself next year. As for the ficticious comments, I started making all of those up after I got inspired by a joke AfD page for ChatGPT created by Awesome Aasim for April Fools 2023. This revision shows how that page looked before other editors began to add to it. – MrPersonHumanGuy (talk) 10:43, 31 August 2024 (UTC)

A tag has been placed on Category:Wikipedians who like The Amazing Digital Circus indicating that it is currently empty, and is not a disambiguation category, a category redirect, under discussion at Categories for discussion, or a project category that by its nature may become empty on occasion. If it remains empty for seven days or more, it may be deleted under section C1 of the criteria for speedy deletion.

[edit]Hi MrPersonHumanGuy. Thank you for your work on H.R. 9495. Another editor, Sebbog13, has reviewed it as part of new pages patrol and left the following comment:
"H.R. 9495" is used to describe both subjects, although one has an article and one is a redirect to a section, it's probably fine tho.
To reply, leave a comment here and begin it with {{Re|Sebbog13}}
. (Message delivered via the Page Curation tool, on behalf of the reviewer.)
Sebbog13 (talk) 13:07, 14 January 2025 (UTC)
- I always receive a notice every time a page I create is reviewed, but this is the first time I've seen a new page reviewer decide to leave something about their review on my talk page. Then again, if a reviewer wanted to let me know what they think of a page I've just made, then this appears to be the way to go, as such commentary wouldn't be present in an ordinary notice. – MrPersonHumanGuy (talk) 13:30, 14 January 2025 (UTC)

Minor note
[edit]Hello MrPersonHumanGuy. Thanks for your question the other day. I was just looking over my recent edits and when I glanced at your contributions I noticed you've been using the minor edit flag more broadly than it's intended. Just a reminder that it's only meant for superficial changes like typo fixes or reverting obvious vandalism, not for edits that change content or alter meaning (e.g., [1], [2], and [3]). I'd also encourage you to use edit summaries more consistently, especially in articles and drafts. Thanks! Daniel Quinlan (talk) 20:29, 10 February 2025 (UTC)

- Even though I have brought up redirects for discussion simply for not being mentioned at their targets (e.g. Combo Panda), I figured that very basic information about this redirect's subject could be conveyed by placing it into appropriate categories. On the other hand, Common Sense Soapbox isn't really mentioned anywhere on Wikipedia, so I can see how not even a redirect may be justified yet. – MrPersonHumanGuy (talk) 13:55, 16 March 2025 (UTC)

Speedy deletion nomination of Adolf Uunona
[edit]
If this is the first article that you have created, you may want to read the guide to writing your first article.
You may want to consider using the Article Wizard to help you create articles.
A tag has been placed on Adolf Uunona requesting that it be speedily deleted from Wikipedia. This has been done under section G14 of the criteria for speedy deletion, because it is:
- a disambiguation page with a title ending in "(disambiguation)" which lists only one extant Wikipedia page (i.e., there is a primary topic);
- a disambiguation page that lists zero extant Wikipedia pages, regardless of its title; or
- a redirect with a title ending in "(disambiguation)" whose target is neither a disambiguation page nor page that has a disambiguation-like function.
Under the criteria for speedy deletion, such pages may be deleted at any time. Please see the disambiguation page guidelines for more information.
If you think this page should not be deleted for this reason you may contest the nomination by visiting the page and removing the speedy deletion tag. QEnigma talk 06:18, 17 April 2025 (UTC)

The article Hinduism and Christianity has been proposed for deletion because of the following concern:
User essay full of WP:SYNTH. Sources are cited on Christianity and Hinduism independently, but not significantly on their intersection.
While all constructive contributions to Wikipedia are appreciated, pages may be deleted for any of several reasons.
You may prevent the proposed deletion by removing the {{proposed deletion/dated}}
notice, but please explain why in your edit summary or on the article's talk page.
Please consider improving the page to address the issues raised. Removing {{proposed deletion/dated}}
will stop the proposed deletion process, but other deletion processes exist. In particular, the speedy deletion process can result in deletion without discussion, and articles for deletion allows discussion to reach consensus for deletion. — Moriwen (talk) 16:19, 30 April 2025 (UTC)

Introduction to contentious topics
[edit]You have recently edited a page related to post-1992 politics of the United States and closely related people, a topic designated as contentious. This is a brief introduction to contentious topics and does not imply that there are any issues with your editing.
A special set of rules applies to certain topic areas, which are referred to as contentious topics. These are specially designated topics that tend to attract more persistent disruptive editing than the rest of the project and have been designated as contentious topics by the Arbitration Committee. When editing a contentious topic, Wikipedia’s norms and policies are more strictly enforced, and Wikipedia administrators have an expanded level of powers and discretion in order to reduce disruption to the project.
Within contentious topics, editors should edit carefully and constructively, refrain from disrupting the encyclopedia, and:
- adhere to the purposes of Wikipedia;
- comply with all applicable policies and guidelines;
- follow editorial and behavioural best practices;
- comply with any page restrictions in force within the area of conflict; and
- refrain from gaming the system.
Editors are advised to err on the side of caution if unsure whether making a particular edit is consistent with these expectations. If you have any questions about contentious topics procedures, you may ask them at the arbitration clerks' noticeboard or you may learn more about this contentious topic here. You may also choose to note which contentious topics you know about by using the {{Ctopics/aware}} template.

Sorry for all the notifications!
[edit]Just wanted to apologize about all the notifications that you're probably receiving about me and doing your RFD tags. I found that five redirects were missing from your nomination, at least I assume you missed them unintentionally, so I have them in. In addition, none of the target pages or the creators were notified of these nominations, so that is why I undid your tags so I could use Twinkle to automatically tag all of those pages. Thanks! Steel1943 (talk) 02:45, 9 May 2025 (UTC)
- Fortunately for you, I've only received two alerts; the first for this and the second for this (both of which involved you "mentioning" me at the RFD page), so your message on my talk page is only my third notification from you. – MrPersonHumanGuy (talk) 10:44, 9 May 2025 (UTC)
Belated RfD tagging
[edit]If in the future you find yourself needing/wanting to tag pages for RfD on a day other than the RfD page it's nominated on then you can use the days=n
parameter, e.g. {{subst:rfd1|days=1|content=...}}
for the following day. The same parameter can be used with {{RfD notice}} to link to a discussion on a preceding day's log page. Thryduulf (talk) 19:56, 17 May 2025 (UTC)

[edit] Welcome to Wikipedia. Although everyone is welcome to contribute constructively to the encyclopedia, articles should not be moved, as you did to List of entertainment affected by the September 11 attacks, without good reason. They should have a name that is both accurate and intuitive. Wikipedia has some guidelines in place to help with this. Generally, a page should only be moved to a new title if the current name doesn't follow these guidelines. Also, if a page move is being discussed, consensus needs to be reached before anybody moves the page. If you would like to experiment with page titles and moving, please use the test Wikipedia. Take a look at the welcome page to learn more about contributing to this encyclopedia. The current name meets MOS:LIST and is not a grammar issue. Belbury (talk) 17:20, 23 May 2025 (UTC)
