Thanks for message. Your page was actually titled Ivan plusch [sic], but I assumed that was a mistake. I don't think that I claimed that you were him. You refer to "your draft", but you posted it, perhaps inadvertently, in article space, despite it not being appropriate there.

  • When you write about a person, you must provide independent verifiable sources to enable us to verify the facts and show that they meet the notability guidelines. Sources that are not acceptable include those linked to the person or an associated organisation, press releases, YouTube, IMDB, social media and other sites that can be self-edited, blogs, websites of unknown or non-reliable provenance, and sites that are just reporting what the person claims or interviewing them. Note that references should be in-line so we can tell what fact each is supporting, and should not be bare urls.
  • Your text had no references of any kind. Note that his own web pages, sales sites and interviews with him are not independent third-party sources as required here.
  • You must write in a non-promotional tone. Articles must be neutral and encyclopaedic, with verifiable facts, not opinions or reviews.
  • Your text was had too many opinions and no verified facts Plusch is well known for obscuring the subject in his paintings by dragging and letting the paint flow to one end of the canvas, while leaving the rest of the background unscathed. You also had a totally inappropriate link to a sales site, Artsper, as an external link.
  • There shouldn't be any url links in the article, only in the "References" or "External links" sections.
  • You must not copy text from elsewhere. Copyrighted text is not allowed in Wikipedia, as outlined in this policy. That applies even to pages created by you or your organisation, unless they state clearly and explicitly that the text is public domain. We require that text posted here can be used, modified and distributed for any purpose, including commercial; text is considered to be copyright unless explicitly stated otherwise. There are ways to donate copyrighted text to Wikipedia, as described here; please note that simply asserting on the talk page that you are the owner of the copyright, or you have permission to use the text, isn't sufficient.
I didn't check
  • your "See also" was a non-existent page.

I'll restore as a draft. Jimfbleak - talk to me? 15:16, 1 June 2025 (UTC)[reply]

Chen Wenbo moved to draftspace

[edit]

Thanks for your contributions to Chen Wenbo. Unfortunately, I do not think it is ready for publishing at this time because it needs more sources to establish notability and it is promotional and reads like an advertisement. I have converted your article to a draft which you can improve, undisturbed for a while.

Please see more information at Help:Unreviewed new page. When the article is ready for publication, please click on the "Submit the draft for review!" button at the top of the page OR move the page back. Referentis (talk) 09:24, 13 June 2025 (UTC)[reply]

Su-en Wong moved to draftspace

[edit]

An article you recently created, Su-en Wong, is not suitable as written to remain published. It needs more citations from reliable, independent sources. (?) Information that can't be referenced should be removed (verifiability is of central importance on Wikipedia). I've moved your draft to draftspace (with a prefix of "Draft:" before the article title) where you can incubate the article with minimal disruption. When you feel the article meets Wikipedia's general notability guideline and thus is ready for mainspace, please click on the "Submit your draft for review!" button at the top of the page. Your submission at Articles for creation: Su-en Wong (August 31)

[edit]
Your recent article submission to Articles for Creation has been reviewed. Unfortunately, it has not been accepted at this time. The reasons left by Prince of Erebor were:
This submission is not adequately supported by reliable sources. Reliable sources are required so that information can be verified. If you need help with referencing, please see Referencing for beginners and Citing sources.
This submission's references do not show that the subject qualifies for a Wikipedia article—that is, they do not show significant coverage (not just passing mentions) about the subject in published, reliable, secondary sources that are independent of the subject (see the guidelines on the notability of people). Before any resubmission, additional references meeting these criteria should be added (see technical help and learn about mistakes to avoid when addressing this issue). If no additional references exist, the subject is not suitable for Wikipedia.
Please check the submission for any additional comments left by the reviewer. You are encouraged to edit the submission to address the issues raised and resubmit after they have been resolved.

Hello Prince of Erebor,
I am a bit confused as to why both my articles on Chinese artists, i.e. Chen Wenbo + Su-en Wong has been rejected. I really am trying to make a contribution and I really think that these 2 artists deserve their own Wikipedia page.
Let me start with Chen Wenbo first. As you are aware, Chen Wenbo's paintings have been exhibited in many government museums, including the Wuhan Art Museum, the Museum of Contemporary Art Chengdu, the UCCA Center for Contemporary Art, the Shanghai Biennale, the Moscow Biennale, the Museum of Fine Arts Bern, and the M+ Museum in Hong Kong (just to name a few). I therefore am confused as to why he would not pass the "notability test."
Also, I do not understand why the references I provided were not sufficient. They were either from the museums themselves, art forums, and NEVER from the artist's own page. If you find certain references to be unacceptable, perhaps you could identify them so that I could remove them directly?
Turning to Su-en Wong. Again, her works have been exhibited at exhibited at the Contemporary Arts Museum Houston, the Brooklyn Museum of Art, the Denver Art Museum, and the Art Gallery of Ontario (again just to name a few).
Also, her work is collected by the Whitney Museum of American Art, the San Francisco Museum of Modern Art, and the Portland Art Museum. These are significant achievements that show that this is an artist of merit.
Again, if there are certain references that you find unacceptable, perhaps you could point them out so that I could remove them directly? Editorarta (talk) 11:01, 1 September 2025 (UTC)[reply]
