Request to restore deleted draft: Suresh Maliyadde

[edit]

Hi Jimfbleak, I noticed that my draft article \"Suresh Maliyadde\" was deleted under G11. I’m the subject of the article and have disclosed a conflict of interest. I tried to follow neutral tone and include reliable sources (press articles, awards, etc.).

Would you consider restoring the draft to my user space so I can keep improving it? Thank you very much. Maliyadde (talk) 11:15, 9 May 2025 (UTC)[reply]

Advice Required

[edit]

This matter pertains to a user named @user:Reeshavp, regarding which I had previously posted in the Administrators/Incidents section. Unfortunately, no responses were received, and the thread was subsequently archived.

The user @Reeshavp has been appending honorifics to the names of several college and university chancellors, presidents, and other esteemed figures. Despite receiving prior warnings and further advisories, they have persistently engaged in this inappropriate practice. As evidenced by their recent edit made on May 7, 2025, and the majority of their edits, their disregard for warnings necessitates immediate attention and rectification.

Consequently, it is imperative to address the ongoing honorifics agenda and repeated violations of the policy of this user. They have continued to add honorifics to names, even after receiving this warning, as evidenced by their edit made today (May 11, 2025). Veritas if you want to link to a user without them seeing, use {{noping|user name}} Can you clarify what policy you think they have broken? They haven't put honorifics in an article title, which is clearly wrong, and I'm not sure that Wikipedia:Manual of Style/Biography#Titles of people, Honorifics section, forbids the use elsewhere. If they are persistently breaking the rules, I'll issue a stop-or-else warning, but I need to be sure of my ground to do. Please clarfy why you think they are wrong, with a link to the policy if it's not the one I've looked at Jimfbleak - talk to me? 13:00, 11 May 2025 (UTC)[reply]
MOS:DOC. They keep adding honorifics to the names of several college and university chancellors, presidents. They have ignored and continue to ignore the warnings. You can see their contributions and see they are on an editing spree where they add the PHD title.
They have been warned twice. This must be stopped.
One more warning in this regard was added. I think the "stop-or-else" warning you were refering to has already been issued to them by @Benison. VeritasVanguard: "Seeking truth in every edit" 14:28, 11 May 2025 (UTC)[reply]
Veritas , OK, I've posted on their talk now Jimfbleak - talk to me? 14:50, 11 May 2025 (UTC)[reply]

Shakespeare Distillery

[edit]

Rather than deleting this page could you give some comments on approval - there are other distilleries listed on Wikipedia with the same statement of facts around their operation and facilities for visitors.? I am not sure why you see this vs Cotswolds Distillery, Oxford distillery etc as any different? PMShakespeare (talk) 15:31, 13 May 2025 (UTC)[reply]

PMShakespeare, we have cross-posted on this, read my comment on your talk. Also note that you can't rely on other articles, either they meet our criteria, or they should be deleted too. More in due course, no time now Jimfbleak - talk to me? 15:34, 13 May 2025 (UTC)[reply]

Hi, you protected this article in 2018. I thought given it's now over 6 years the protection could be now removed? LibStar (talk) 01:42, 15 May 2025 (UTC)[reply]
