404 references at Jeri Thomson

[edit]

Hey, when reading through Jeri Thomson I noticed that nearly all of the external links in citations are broken. I tried to search online but was not able to find any indication that WaPo or NYTimes have published articles by the titles, authors, and dates indicated in the citations. Could you clarify where you found these sources and make sure they're correctly referenced? signed, Rosguill talk 18:14, 8 July 2025 (UTC)[reply]

I appreciate that you've now removed the faulty citations but could you please explain where you found those newspaper articles to cite them in the first place, since you seem to have removed all references to independent sources? The currently cited sources are not particularly useful, given that they are all primary sources insofar as they discuss Thomson directly. signed, Rosguill talk 21:48, 8 July 2025 (UTC)[reply]
Thank you for your comments and advice. I try to respond to all comments from more experienced editors. In this case, I will continue to work on this article until I improve it. This problem arose because I initially worked in a sandbox and did not pay due attention to the integrity of the article and the consistency of sources of information.CivicInk (talk) 21:52, 8 July 2025 (UTC)[reply]
Please give me some time, I have little time for Wikipedia now, but I will try to fix everything! CivicInk (talk) 21:53, 8 July 2025 (UTC)[reply]
Your edits and replies give a very strong impression of being written by an AI. Please don't do that: they're not reliable enough to write article text, and it's disrespectful to your fellow editors. signed, Rosguill talk 21:55, 8 July 2025 (UTC)[reply]
If you don't like the quality of my edits or my work in Wikipedia, you can place a ticket on the appropriate noticeboard. Please do not blame me for the quality of my work because it violates the fundamental principles of Wikipedia. Maybe I am not as experienced an editor as you, but we are all volunteers and I do not think that you have serious grounds to accuse me of excessive use of AI or anything else. I edit Wikipedia because I am interested in it and only when I have free time.CivicInk (talk) 22:00, 8 July 2025 (UTC)[reply]

Jeri Thomson moved to draftspace

[edit]

Thanks for your contributions to Jeri Thomson. Unfortunately, I do not think it is ready for publishing at this time because it needs more sources to establish notability. I have converted your article to a draft which you can improve, undisturbed for a while.

Please see more information at Help:Unreviewed new page. When the article is ready for publication, please click on the "Submit the draft for review!" button at the top of the page OR move the page back. Onel5969 TT me 16:25, 10 July 2025 (UTC)[reply]

Richard Otto Gläsel page

[edit]

Hello CivicInk, I created a page for German bow maker Richard Otto Gläsel. You have placed a few tags suggesting improvements to citations. I included citations from the most reliable sources such as Deutsche Bogenmacher-German Bow Makers Klaus Grunke, Hans Karl Schmidt, Wolfgang Zunterer 2000 and the latest research in the STRAD magazine by Gennady Filimonov (a well know authority on the subject) STRAD magazine April 2024 – Parisian Splendour, by Gennady Filimonov.

Can you explain how the citations can be improved or different? BTW, the maker (Richard Otto Glasel) is not a living maker, as he died in 1931. Looking forward to your reply. Thank you in advance. Milliot68 Milliot68 (talk) 21:06, 16 July 2025 (UTC)[reply]
