Use of LLM

[edit]

Hello,

I am the one who created the page "Like Father Like Son (2025 film)," which uses a significant number of AI-generated text summaries. Since English is not my main language, I would like to know if it is better to use Grammarly to detect potential AI use in the wikitext. I would be very grateful to know

Hi @BengalMC: if you generated it using an AI, you should probably stop doing that. It came up with a bunch of false information and links that don't exist. It might be easier for you to use a translator or something to help you if English isn't your first language. BuySomeApples (talk) 06:57, 8 June 2025 (UTC)[reply]

Black Country Ales submission

[edit]

Hi! I created the Black Country Ales submission that you struck for containing non encyclopaedic phrasings. I am interested to see which parts that fell into this category, as I feel that the page adheres to this problem. Thanks. Squilliamt (talk) 20:41, 13 June 2025 (UTC)[reply]

Hi @Squilliamt: things like a list of ales served by the chain and this line "The brewery has roots in the Black Country, where brewing of ales first began in 1834 at the Old Bull's Head". The history of the region is interesting, but in this article it seems like a tagline. Also if you resubmit you'll need to find enough sources to meet WP:GNG or WP:NCORP. Thank you. I appreciate the clarification. Squilliamt (talk) 21:14, 13 June 2025 (UTC)[reply]

Hi, thank you for the dialog and guidance on cleaning up this article. I have cut down the discography and made citations for them aswell. Let me know if you think it's looking better, I just put it through for a submission review. Thank you for your time. Superpingers (talk) 19:33, 16 June 2025 (UTC)[reply]

DYK for Civilization (magazine)

[edit]

On 23 June 2025, Did you know was updated with a fact from the article Civilization (magazine), which you recently created, substantially expanded, or brought to good article status. The fact was ... that a 2022 issue of Civilization was designed to be horrible, unlikable and partly AI-generated? The nomination discussion and review may be seen at Template:Did you know nominations/Civilization (magazine). You are welcome to check how many pageviews the nominated article or articles got while on the front page (here's how, Civilization (magazine)), and the hook may be added to the statistics page after its run on the Main Page has completed. Finally, if you know of an interesting fact from another recently created article, then please feel free to suggest it on the Did you know talk page.

Hook update
Your hook reached 14,596 views (608.2 per hour), making it one of the most viewed hooks of June 2025 – nice work!

Hi! I just saw your DYK for Civilization. It reminded me to create Draft:Heavy Traffic Magazine, a literary mag based in New York City. Thought you might be interested if you enjoy working on topics in NYC media. Best, Thriley (talk) 16:32, 23 June 2025 (UTC)[reply]

That does look like something I'd be interested in! Thanks @Thriley: BuySomeApples (talk) 16:59, 23 June 2025 (UTC)[reply]
@Thriley: I started the article and might see if I can get it into shape for DYK. BuySomeApples (talk) 21:56, 25 June 2025 (UTC)[reply]
That would be wonderful! Thriley (talk) 14:07, 27 June 2025 (UTC)[reply]
