Category removal

[edit]

Hey,

Thanks for catching this; I had copied the article into my sandbox in preparation for fixing it up, and didn't realize I needed to remove the categories as part of it. M Imtiaz (talk · contribs) 15:34, 26 September 2025 (UTC)[reply]

Hey @Bearcat, I came here to say exactly the same thing (you're not alone @M Imtiaz)! Thanks for dedicating your time to fix those issues :) Barbalalaika (talk) 16:27, 26 September 2025 (UTC)[reply]

Account ban request.

[edit]

I am completely fed up with this IP: User talk:94.6.229.245, as they attacked anybody with their words. Just look at it. It's inappropriate. I think this is a contender for a ban. You can very well make Wikipedia safer like you do always.

Kind regards, WikiHelper3906.

P.S.: Thank you for removing the categories on my user page at the start of the month. WikiHelper3906 10:25, 28 September 2025 (UTC)[reply]

Unfortunately, it's not possible to permanently ban an IP number. We can impose temporary blocks for an hour or two to stop immediate behaviour, but not permanent bans. Bearcat (talk) 11:44, 28 September 2025 (UTC)[reply]

Request on 01:13:49, 1 October 2025 for assistance on AfC submission by Ru04JP

I am requesting a reassessment of Draft:Michael Craven, which was declined for not having significant coverage. The reviewer’s main concerns were about significant coverage and the depth/independence of sources. Here’s why I believe Craven clearly passes Wikipedia’s notability criteria for sports executives:

• Substantial, Reliable Secondary Coverage: - Craven is directly and repeatedly interviewed by Sports Illustrated (Justin Barrasso), and has a full-length profile in Fox Sports Australia as well as an exclusive feature in Undisputed, all as the main subject…not just a passing mention.

- Sources:  https://www.si.com/wrestling/2019/06/03/njpw-aew-talent-sharing-jon-moxley-chris-jericho-michael-craven

https://www.foxsports.com.au/more-sports/new-japan-pro-wrestling-southern-showdown-michael-craven-on-australian-wrestling-future-local-events-and-g1-climax-2020-plans/news-story/d59889fb5095ddeafe1320f02a66ec37

https://undisputed.substack.com/p/michael-craven-joins-rizin-fighting

• Firsts and Industry Impact: - He is the first non-Japanese executive to oversee international expansion for NJPW, and the first to coordinate major events in three different countries within a single year…a unique achievement by Japanese wrestling standards and a first.

• Context for Notability: - Per WP:SPORTSBIO and Wikipedia’s general notability guideline, sports executives can be considered notable if their decisions and strategies are the main coverage subject in independent, reliable sources. - In wrestling and MMA, executive profiles and in-depth interviews are typically how major decision-makers are covered. The above sources provide multiple paragraphs (not just quotes) on Craven’s career, background, and impact.

- If any specific source is deemed insufficient or primary, please let me know which, so I can supplement or remove it as appropriate.

Could an experienced editor with background in pro wrestling or sports industry bios confirm if this meets GNG and, if not, provide concrete direction?

Thank you so much for your time and help.

An automated process has detected that when you recently edited 2025 Vancouver International Film Festival, you added a link pointing to the disambiguation page Stefan Djordjevic.

Edit at Talk: Federica Di Palma

[edit]

Hey, I saw you removed categories from a topic at the talk page of Federica Di Palma, but this was a proposed draft by a COI editor. Could I reverse your edit partially, but now with the categories <nowiki>ed out?

Otherwise I’m afraid the request might not be accurate for people responding to it. Slomo666 (talk) 13:23, 16 October 2025 (UTC)[reply]

USERNOCAT

[edit]

Hi Bearcat. I noticed in this edit, the External links section was wiped out along with the categories. Are you using a tool that wipes out that section along with the categories? The links are AI hallucinations, which I wanted to remain in place to bolster my nom of WP:G15. --Drm310 🍁 (talk) 19:42, 24 October 2025 (UTC)[reply]

So sorry, but there's a backlog

[edit]

UAA has a huge backlog that needs attention.Thanks! Tankishguy 17:15, 27 October 2025 (UTC)[reply]

5 reports is not a backlog. Also please WP:AGF your revert at Sissal was incorrect, their edit wasn't vandalism. Lavalizard101 (talk) 18:29, 27 October 2025 (UTC)[reply]
If you include bot reports, decent backlog. Tankishguy 21:31, 27 October 2025 (UTC)[reply]
Could we just not argue about this on my talk page, please? I've never done UAA work at all, so I don't know why an editor I've never heard of before would come running to me asking for my help with a queue I've never worked in, and wouldn't know what to do with it even I wanted to start (which, spoiler alert, I don't). Bearcat (talk) 21:59, 27 October 2025 (UTC)[reply]
ok. Tankishguy 22:01, 27 October 2025 (UTC)[reply]
