Freddy at its peak intensity while northeast of Rodrigues on 19 FebruaryGreetings! My name is HurricaneEdgar (born 2006).[nb 1]
I started contributing to Wikipedia in 2020, during the COVID-19 pandemic. At the time, my edits weren’t very good since I didn’t have much knowledge about how Wikipedia worked. Over the years, I began focusing more on editing, especially due to the frequent typhoons hitting the Philippines.
I’ve had a long-standing interest in tropical cyclones, but aside from typhoons, I also edit topics related to earthquakes and geopolitics. In 2024, after the fall of the Assad regime, I began contributing mostly to articles related to Syria. Aside from editing, I also play the guitar. One of my favorite songs to play is the Filipino classic Ang Huling El Bimbo. I’m currently a first-year college student with the course BSIT.
As of 2025, I have created seven Good Articles and three Did You Know (DYK) entries. I also contribute actively to Wikimedia Commons.
My name has been used in Ukrainian media and other outlets following the storm that hit Moscow, Russia.[1][2][3] Despite the strong storm, the name was used in the Hypothetical Hurricane Wiki.[4][5]
^"Edgar" is a name inspired by Parokya ni Edgar, while "Hurricane" comes from the term commonly used for tropical cyclones in the Atlantic and eastern/central Pacific.

The Resilient Barnstar
I was upset when I saw you retired, but I'm glad you changed your mind! Cheers to whatever drives you to try and make this encyclopedia a better more thorough place. ♫ Hurricanehink (talk) 18:12, 20 June 2025 (UTC)
Congrats on all of the hard work getting Meteorological history of Cyclone Freddy to good article status! Thanks for all of the fixes and research. If you intend to take it further, be sure to research for journal articles, and continue fleshing out the article where you can, but I'm happy to call it "good" :) ♫ Hurricanehink (talk) 00:29, 30 July 2024 (UTC)
