My Adventures with Superman

My Adventures with Green Lantern is an upcoming American anime-influenced animated superhero television series based on the Green Lantern character Jessica Cruz from DC Comics. Produced by DC Studios and Warner Bros. Animation, it is a spin-off from the series My Adventures with Superman (2023–present), and focused on Cruz, a high school student chosen to become a Green Lantern and is embroiled with remnants from an intergalactic war.

An animated series focused on Jessica Cruz was announced by DC Studios in February 2025, with My Adventures with Superman co-showrunner Jake Wyatt attached. Studio Mir provides the series's animation style.

Premise

[edit]

The series follows high school student Jessica Cruz, who is chosen to become a Green Lantern by a power ring that falls from the sky and is embroiled in an ancient intergalactic war between the Green Lantern Corps and their alien adversaries once remnants from the war begin landing on Earth.[1]

Development

[edit]

In February 2025, DC Studios co-CEOs James Gunn and Peter Safran announced that it had greenlit three "younger-skewed" animated series—My Adventures with Green Lantern, Starfire!, and DC Super Powers—that were being co-produced with Warner Bros. Animation and executive producer Sam Register. The former was based on the DC Comics character Jessica Cruz, a member of the Green Lantern Corps.[1] Jake Wyatt, the co-showrunner of the DC animated series My Adventures with Superman (2023–present), was set to executive produce the series while Stephanie Gonzaga was a co-executive producer. Following the announcement, Wyatt confirmed that the series would be set in the same timeline as My Adventures with Superman and would further explore and expand upon that universe. He said it would also include much of the design team from that series,[1][3] and described the series as fun.[4]

Casting

[edit]

A casting call for the role of Jessica Cruz was reportedly released in August 2025, with the search focusing on 18+ year-old Latina actresses who could also sing. The role was described as "lovable, relatable, plucky, overthinker, [and a] ball of anxiety".[5]

Animation

[edit]

Studio Mir will provide the series' anime-influenced animation style, returning from My Adventures with Superman.[5]

Release

[edit]

My Adventures with Green Lantern will be released as part of the "DC Elseworlds" label.[6]
