Hello, I’m a new contributor, so I’m still learning how everything works. I noticed that my uploaded pictures were removed. I even tried using a different one, but that was also deleted. Could you please explain why they were removed and what I need to do to correctly add images to the article?
I read the pages you shared, but I still don’t fully understand what steps I need to follow. Also, do I need to get permission from the person in the picture or fill out any form before uploading? Or does the picture need to be one that hasn’t been used anywhere before?
Thank you for your time and guidance! WhiteFactLoom (talk) 01:47, 9 October 2025 (UTC)[reply]
They were removed because of copyright issues. In order to upload images for use in articles, the image must be under a public license. For example, the website where you got it from would say something like CC-BY-SA or CC-BY, or "some rights reserved". If not, the copyright owner would have to allow it to be used under a public license. This is done by the process outlined here: WP:Donating copyrighted materials. It has to be the copyright owner who gives the permission. The people in the picture do not have to give permission. ... discospinster talk 16:19, 9 October 2025 (UTC)[reply]

Hello, I'm Adakiko. I noticed that in this edit to Whindersson Nunes, you removed content without adequately explaining why. In the future, it would be helpful to others if you described your changes to Wikipedia with an edit summary. If this was a mistake, don't worry, the removed content has been restored. If you think I made a mistake, or if you have any questions, you can leave me a message on my talk page. Thank you. Adakiko (talk) 03:23, 16 October 2025 (UTC)[reply]

Hi Adakiko,
Thanks for your message. I was actually trying to fix an error in reference 43, when I corrected it, another error appeared (I can’t recall exactly what it was), so I temporarily removed part of the infobox to resolve it.
Now that you’ve reverted my edit, the reference 43 error (“citation journal error”) has appeared again. I’d appreciate it if you could help fix that too. I’ll make sure to include an edit summary next time. WhiteFactLoom (talk) 04:08, 16 October 2025 (UTC)[reply]

Hello WhiteFactLoom. The nature of your edits gives the impression you have an undisclosed financial stake in promoting a topic, but you have not complied with Wikipedia's mandatory paid editing disclosure requirements. Paid advocacy is a category of conflict of interest (COI) editing that involves being employed (or being compensated in any way) by a person, group, company or organization to promote their interests. Paid advocacy on Wikipedia must be disclosed even if you have not specifically been asked to edit Wikipedia. Undisclosed paid advocacy is prohibited by our policies on neutral point of view and what Wikipedia is not and is an especially serious type of COI; the Wikimedia Foundation regards it as a "black hat" practice akin to black-hat search-engine optimization.

Paid advocates are strongly discouraged from direct article editing and should instead propose changes on the talk page of the article in question if an article exists. If the article does not exist, paid advocates are strongly discouraged from attempting to write an article at all. At best, any proposed article creation should be submitted through the articles for creation process, rather than directly.

Regardless, if you are receiving or expect to receive compensation for your edits, broadly construed, you are required by the Wikimedia Terms of Use to disclose your employer, client and affiliation. You can post such a mandatory disclosure to your user page at User:WhiteFactLoom. The template {{Paid}} can be used for this purpose – e.g. in the form: {{paid|user=WhiteFactLoom|employer=InsertName|client=InsertName}}. If I am mistaken – you are not being directly or indirectly compensated for your edits – please state that in response to this message. Otherwise, please provide the required disclosure. In either case, do not edit further until you answer this message. Ravensfire (talk) 23:34, 9 October 2025 (UTC)[reply]

I am not a paid editor and do not receive any compensation for my edits. I edit voluntarily because I enjoy contributing to Wikipedia and helping improve the quality of content. WhiteFactLoom (talk) 23:41, 9 October 2025 (UTC)[reply]
I noticed some of my recent edits were removed. I believe the content is well-supported by reliable sources and relevant. Could you please clarify why it was removed? I'm happy to collaborate to ensure the article meets Wikipedia’s guidelines. WhiteFactLoom (talk) 23:55, 9 October 2025 (UTC)[reply]

Your submission at Articles for creation: Ashneer Grover (October 10)

[edit]
Your recent article submission has been rejected and cannot be resubmitted. If you have further questions, you can ask at the Articles for creation help desk or use Wikipedia's real-time chat help. The reason left by Eulersidentity was: This topic is not sufficiently notable for inclusion in Wikipedia. The comment the reviewer left was: Fails WP:GNG, WP:BIO. Lacks significant coverage from reliable secondary sources.

WP:UPE suspected. The entity's page has been attempted multiple times in the past, and the entire draft was created in a single revision by a new account created one day prior.

Hi GoldRomean,
Thank you for your kind words! I really appreciate your encouragement.
I’m still learning how to create and publish a Wikipedia article successfully. I’ve tried once, but my draft were declined. Since you’re an experienced editor, could you please guide me on how I can create a page properly and make sure it meets Wikipedia’s notability and sourcing standards?

Article for George Jacob

[edit]

Hello @WhiteFactLoom

I noticed that you had removed content from George Jacob's article - Kindly abide with the Wikipedia guidelines and maintain a NPOV - There are citations supporting the fact that he was involved in Lavish Spending. Make sure edits are done according to the guidelines - if you are paid by the following - kindly say so! ChronoTexts (talk) 23:38, 16 October 2025 (UTC)[reply]

Hello, I made that edit to maintain a neutral point of view (NPOV) as required by Wikipedia’s guidelines. The content you’re referring to appeared to be written in a non-neutral tone, so I reverted it to keep the article balanced. WhiteFactLoom (talk) 23:54, 16 October 2025 (UTC)[reply]

Hi. Thank you for your recent edits. An automated process has detected that when you recently edited Herbert Allen III, you added a link pointing to the disambiguation page Media. Such links are usually incorrect, since a disambiguation page is merely a list of unrelated topics with similar titles. (Read the FAQ • Join us at the DPL WikiProject.)

It's OK to remove this message. Also, to stop receiving these messages, follow these opt-out instructions. Thanks, --DPL bot (talk) 07:56, 21 October 2025 (UTC)[reply]

Rollback

[edit]

I've rolled back your source tag for the plot section of Doctor Death: Seeker of Souls. Plot sections on Wikipedia are generally accepted to not need sources. monkeysmashingkeyboards (talk) 02:02, 23 October 2025 (UTC)[reply]

Solved! WhiteFactLoom (talk) 01:39, 31 October 2025 (UTC)[reply]

If this is the first article that you have created, you may want to read the guide to writing your first article.

You may want to consider using the Article Wizard to help you create articles.

A tag has been placed on Tarika Barrett to request its speedy deletion, as it exhibits signs of having been generated by an AI model with no clear human review. Text produced by these applications can be unsuitable for an encyclopedia and output must be carefully checked. For further information, see the section G15 of the criteria for speedy deletion.

If you think these signs were incorrectly identified and you assert that you did carefully check the content, you may contest the nomination by visiting the page and clicking the button labelled "Contest this speedy deletion". This will give you the opportunity to explain why you believe the page should not be deleted. However, be aware that once a page is tagged for speedy deletion, it may be deleted without delay. Please do not remove the speedy deletion tag from the page yourself, but do not hesitate to add information in line with Wikipedia's policies and guidelines. Additionally – if you would like to create an article but find it difficult, please ask for help at the Teahouse. GreenLipstickLesbian💌🦋 04:48, 11 November 2025 (UTC)[reply]

I put a lot of effort into creating the article and making sure the information was accurate and useful.
I’m a new editor, and I feel a bit that the article was deleted too quickly without giving me a chance to improve it. If I had received a message or a little time, I could have fixed any issues and made it fully compliant.
I’d like to ask: would it be okay if I try creating the article again? I want to improve it further, follow the guidelines closely, and make it as complete and reliable as possible.
Appreciate your guidance and support. WhiteFactLoom (talk) 06:05, 11 November 2025 (UTC)[reply]
You are welcome to start a new draft and submit it through the Articles for Creation process; this time, kindly take care to make sure all references are real and that you write the article yourself. Articles with fake references and articles generated by AI, especially articles about living people, can damage their subject's reputations. I hope you understand that is is important we avoid them. GreenLipstickLesbian💌🦋 07:40, 11 November 2025 (UTC)[reply]
thanks for letting me know. I just wanted to ask did the article that got deleted have any fake references, or did it look like it was written by AI? I’d really like to understand what went wrong so I can fix it and do better next time.
Tanks for taking the time to explain! WhiteFactLoom (talk) 08:24, 11 November 2025 (UTC)[reply]
It was deleted because it had fake references - I assume that these were generated by AI, because editors do not, typically, knowingly falsify references. They do copy-paste in chatbot messages, naively assuming that the references will be good. GreenLipstickLesbian💌🦋 08:47, 11 November 2025 (UTC)[reply]
Understand, but I didn’t use any Ai to create the references. Might I added something by mistake without realizing it, but I’ll make sure to double check everything more carefully next time. WhiteFactLoom (talk) 09:18, 11 November 2025 (UTC)[reply]
