Andriy Parubiy photo edit warring
[edit]
Hi Nurken! I noticed that you have reverted to restore your preferred version of Andriy Parubiy several times. The impulse to undo an edit you disagree with is understandable, but I wanted to make sure you're aware that the edit warring policy disallows repeated reversions even if they are justifiable.
All editors are expected to discuss content disputes on article talk pages to try to reach consensus. If you are unable to agree at Talk:Andriy Parubiy, please use one of the dispute resolution options to seek input from others. Using this approach instead of reverting can help you avoid getting drawn into an edit war. Thank you. Daisy Blue (talk) 04:31, 7 September 2025 (UTC)
Hi there -- I am Yana Gorskaya and I very purposefully do not use my patronymic. Kindly remove it from my wikipedia page. Thank you!
Non-attributed translations
[edit]
Thank you for your contributions to Wikipedia. It appears that you translated text from ru:Ташенов, Жумабек Ахметович to Zhumabek Tashenev. While you are welcome to translate Wikipedia content, here or elsewhere, Wikipedia's licensing requires that you provide attribution to the contributor(s) of the original article. When translating from a foreign-language Wikipedia article, this is supplied at a minimum in an edit summary on the page where you add translated content, identifying it as a translation and linking it to the source page. Sample wording for this is given here. If you forgot, or were not aware of this requirement, attribution must be given retroactively, for example:
NOTE: Content in the edit of 01:25, January 25, 2023 was translated from the existing French Wikipedia article at [[:fr:Exact name of French article]]; see its history for attribution.
Retroactive attribution may be added using a dummy edit; see Repairing insufficient attribution. It is good practice, especially if translation is extensive, to also place a properly formatted {{translated page}} template on the talk page of the destination article. If you have added translated content previously which was not attributed at the time it was added, you must add attribution retrospectively, even if it was a long time ago. You can read more about author attribution and the reasons for it at Wikipedia:Copying within Wikipedia. Thank you. JTtheOG (talk) 22:50, 17 September 2025 (UTC)
- I did not translate the Russian article. I wrote this one myself, even though a big portion is from one source. Nurken (talk) 22:52, 17 September 2025 (UTC)

- Does it really count if the sources are the same, but the information is different? The information on the Kazakh article is at times misleading, including the birthplace of the guy. I wrote the article separately anyway. Nurken (talk) 23:57, 24 September 2025 (UTC)

Thank you for your contributions to Wikipedia. Regarding your recent edits to Miloš Obrenović when you modified the page, you introduced unknown parameters. Just because you specify |some_param=some_variable does not always mean that variable will display. The |some_param= must be defined in the template. You can look at the documentation for the template you are using but it is also helpful to use the preview button before you save your edit; this helps you find any errors you have made and ensure that the values you have added are displaying correctly. Below the edit box is a Show preview button. Pressing this will show you what the page will look like without actually saving it. It is strongly recommended that you use this before saving. If you have any questions, contact the help desk for assistance.

Hi Nurken, thanks for creating the article. Just one short question, the article contains the quote "largely unnoticed by the public" without it being attributed to anyone, would you mind adding it? Kind Regards

Thank you for your work on this article. I removed a couple negative sentences that did not have a source out of concern that they might constitute WP:Libel. You may reintroduce them with a reliable source. Thanks and have a great day!
