- Thank you, and for support in November! - On St. Cecilia's Day - patron saint of music - I remember a composition by Benjamin Britten, and have a woman on the main page who illustrated songs, with a sense of humour. My places take you to Milan, my first visit to La Scala, and music features our latest choral Abendlob, with English music. --Gerda Arendt (talk) 16:27, 22 November 2025 (UTC)
- Organists: I went to see the church in Paris where Guy Morançon worked, quite a place, and wish Happy birthday to Gabriel Dessauer, - enjoy music he played, Dance Toccata, by another Paris organist. --Gerda Arendt (talk) 21:50, 4 December 2025 (UTC)
Articles for Creation backlog drive
[edit]
Hello Netherzone:
WikiProject Articles for creation is holding a month long Backlog Drive in December!
The goal of this drive is to reduce the backlog of unreviewed drafts to less than half a month of outstanding reviews from the current 2+ months. Bonus points will be given for reviewing drafts that have been waiting more than 30 days. The drive is running from 1 December 2025 through 31 December 2025.
You may find Category:AfC pending submissions by age or other categories and sorting helpful.
Barnstars will be given out as awards at the end of the drive.
There is a backlog of over 3000 pages, so start reviewing drafts. We're looking forward to your help! MediaWiki message delivery (talk) 06:07, 23 November 2025 (UTC)
- If you wish to opt-out of future mailings, please remove yourself from the mailing list or alternatively to opt-out of all massmessage mailings, you may add Category:Wikipedians who opt out of message delivery to your user talk page.

Thank you for improving article quality in December! - Today's 1715 Advent Bach cantata translates to "Prepare the ways", - listen to quite stunning music if you haven't ;) - "places" take you to Copenhagen. -- Gerda Arendt (talk) 22:58, 21 December 2025 (UTC)

Merry Christmas
[edit]Thank you for your help with the Goggins article, its definitely easier to tackle this with a Dwarf at my side. or should I say friend. Moritoriko (talk) 14:57, 24 December 2025 (UTC)
- Hi @Moritoriko, you have made me laugh. (You are referring to the Seven Dwarfs in the Snow White fairy tale? Am I Grumpy? or Sleepy? Well, sometimes. Happy? (pretty much always). But yesterday and today I am Sneezy! Caught a head cold, thankfully not the flu.) I think of you as a a new friend. Nice to meet you here. Your work is excellent, it's great to meet someone who delves deeply into what the sources actually say in relation to the claims in the content.
- Sadly, I'm not sure Groggins meets notability criteria for inclusion since he is primarily known for one single photograph of Clarissa Shields. A lot of the sources are mostly interview material, therefore they are primary sources for the most part (interview should have an abundance of independent editorial content for them to contribute to notability). One permanent collection at a University art center (not a notable museum or a national gallery) definitely does not meet WP:NARTIST. I think it's "too soon"...but I don't want to appear to be the Grinch who stole Christmas.
- Merry Christmas, happy holidays and happy New Year to you and hope to see you around in the future. Netherzone (talk) 16:15, 24 December 2025 (UTC)
- Ooops, I was referring to Legolas and Gimli's conversation before the battle, but I might have misquoted it. I am glad it isn't a flu either.
- I didn't think so either when I declined the draft a couple months ago but after some addition someone else thought he did and I also don't want to be Grinch-y because it is close. I am relatively happy to leave it as the article stands now until some better source shows up (the CBS Detroit one misspelled "invisions" as "invasions" so I take it with a salt shaker of salt).
- Hope to cross wiki-paths with you again too. Moritoriko (talk) 23:39, 24 December 2025 (UTC)
