Welcome to Wikipedia. We appreciate your contributions, but in one of your recent edits to Russian Civil War, it appears that you have added original research, which is against Wikipedia's policies. Original research refers to material—such as facts, allegations, ideas, and personal experiences—for which no reliable, published sources exist; it also encompasses combining published sources in a way to imply something that none of them explicitly say. Please be prepared to cite a reliable source for all of your contributions. You can have a look at the tutorial on citing sources. Thank you. Remsense聊 19:43, 1 November 2023 (UTC)

Hello, I'm The Banner. I noticed that you added or changed content in an article, Allied intervention in the Russian Civil War, but you didn't provide a reliable source. It's been removed and archived in the page history for now, but if you'd like to include a citation and re-add it, please do so. You can have a look at referencing for beginners. Reviewing drafts
[edit]I see that you moved the page Draft:Temryuk campaign in Ingushetia to Temryuk campaign in Ingushetia, but I'm afraid there were several problems with that move. Accepting a draft and making it into an article involves more than just moving the page; it is necessary to make various updates, such as dealing with any Article for Creation templates in the draft. Also, it is at best questionable whether the draft was ready to become an article, as much of it was written in very poor English, and there were dubious elements in the text, such as "In 1557, Kabarda voluntarily became a Russian citizen", which makes no sense, as Kabarda was a place, not a person. Please don't review draft articles unless and until you have much more experience, and when that happens please apply to become an AfC reviewer, rather than just moving drafts. Hello, I'm Jolielover. I noticed that you recently removed content from Battle of Kozludzha (1828) without adequately explaining why. In the future, it would be helpful to others if you described your changes to Wikipedia with an accurate edit summary. If this was a mistake, don't worry; the removed content has been restored. If you would like to experiment, please use your sandbox. If you think I made a mistake, or if you have any questions, you can leave me a message on my talk page. - @Jolielover I was going to delete the article Ömereditss (talk) 08:35, 8 March 2025 (UTC)
- Yeah, I don't oppose a deletion since the notability of the event is questionable and the creator was blocked for being a LTA. But you blanked it hours ago (and anyway, if you want to tag it for deletion, there's no point blanking it unless the page contains something egregious like personal info). jolielover♥talk 08:38, 8 March 2025 (UTC)
- @Jolielover If you tell me the delete command I won't do it again Ömereditss (talk) 08:43, 8 March 2025 (UTC)
- @Jolielover: What you're missing here is that the article's author was an older account of Ömereditss (not an LTA). Ömereditss, normally if someone blanks an article they wrote, an editor will then tag it for deletion, but here that wasn't obvious to Jolielover since it's a different username. In the future, if you write an article and then want it deleted, and no one else has made significant edits, you can just add the code {{db-g7}} at the top of the page. See CSD G7 for more information on that rule. There are similar templates for other situations, e.g. {{db-g3}} for a page that is vandalism. -- Tamzin[cetacean needed] (they|xe|🤷) 08:47, 8 March 2025 (UTC)

The page Wars of Catherine The Great has been speedily deleted from Wikipedia. This was done under section R2 of the criteria for speedy deletion, because it was a redirect from the article namespace to a different namespace except the Category, Template, Wikipedia, Help, or Portal namespaces.
Please do not recreate the material without addressing these concerns, but do not hesitate to add information in line with Wikipedia's policies and guidelines. If you think this page should not have been deleted for this reason, you may contact the deleting administrator, or if you have already done so, you may open a discussion at Wikipedia:Deletion review. Speedy deletion nomination of Bithynia campaign
[edit]Hello Ömereditss,
I wanted to let you know that I just tagged Bithynia campaign for deletion, because it's a redirect from an article title to a namespace that's not for articles.
If you don't want Bithynia campaign to be deleted, you can contest this deletion, but don't remove the speedy deletion tag from the top.
You can leave a note on my talk page if you have questions. Thanks!

Copyright violations from Wikipedia translations
[edit]
Thank you for your contributions to Wikipedia. It appears that you translated text from one or more pages to Battle of Calafat. While you are welcome to translate Wikipedia content, here or elsewhere, Wikipedia's licensing requires that you provide attribution to the contributor(s) of the original article. When translating from a foreign-language Wikipedia article, this is supplied at a minimum in an edit summary on the page where you add translated content, identifying it as a translation and linking it to the source page. Sample wording for this is given here. If you forgot, or were not aware of this requirement, attribution must be given retroactively, for example:
NOTE: Content in the edit of 01:25, January 25, 2023 was translated from the existing French Wikipedia article at [[:fr:Exact name of French article]]; see its history for attribution.
Retroactive attribution may be added using a dummy edit; see Repairing insufficient attribution. It is good practice, especially if translation is extensive, to also place a properly formatted {{translated page}} template on the talk page of the destination article. If you have added translated content previously which was not attributed at the time it was added, you must add attribution retrospectively, even if it was a long time ago. You can read more about author attribution and the reasons for it at Wikipedia:Copying within Wikipedia. Thank you. (t · c) buidhe 15:50, 26 May 2025 (UTC)

Hello. Thank you for your contributions to Wikipedia. I noticed that your recent edit to Ottoman campaign in the North Caucasus did not have an edit summary. Collaboration among editors is fundamental to Wikipedia, and every edit should be explained by a clear edit summary, or by discussion on the Talk page. Please use the edit summary field to explain your reasoning for an edit, or to describe what it changes. Summaries save time for other editors and reduce the chances that your edit will be misunderstood. For some edits, an adequate summary may be quite brief.
The edit summary field looks like this:
Edit summary (Briefly describe your changes)
Please provide an edit summary for every edit you make. When logged in to your Wikipedia account, you can give yourself a reminder by setting Preferences → Editing →
Prompt me when entering a blank edit summary (or the default undo summary), and then click the "Save" button.

[edit]Please don't move articles, much less to Draft space, while they are at AfD, as you did at Assyrian-Kurdish Clashes (1840-1895). Introduction to contentious topics
[edit]You have recently edited a page related to the topics of Kurds and Kurdistan, broadly construed, a topic designated as contentious. This is a brief introduction to contentious topics and does not imply that there are any issues with your editing.
A special set of rules applies to certain topic areas, which are referred to as contentious topics. These are specially designated topics that tend to attract more persistent disruptive editing than the rest of the project and have been designated as contentious topics by the Arbitration Committee. When editing a contentious topic, Wikipedia’s norms and policies are more strictly enforced, and Wikipedia administrators have an expanded level of powers and discretion in order to reduce disruption to the project.
Within contentious topics, editors should edit carefully and constructively, refrain from disrupting the encyclopedia, and:
- adhere to the purposes of Wikipedia;
- comply with all applicable policies and guidelines;
- follow editorial and behavioural best practices;
- comply with any page restrictions in force within the area of conflict; and
- refrain from gaming the system.
Editors are advised to err on the side of caution if unsure whether making a particular edit is consistent with these expectations. If you have any questions about contentious topics procedures, you may ask them at the arbitration clerks' noticeboard or you may learn more about this contentious topic here. You may also choose to note which contentious topics you know about by using the {{Ctopics/aware}} template.
| This is a standard message to notify contributors about an administrative ruling in effect. It does not imply that there are any issues with your contributions to date.
You have shown interest in Assyrian, Chaldean, Aramean, and Syriac identity, culture, and politics. Due to past disruption in this topic area, the community has authorised uninvolved administrators to impose contentious topics restrictions—such as editing restrictions, bans, or blocks—on editors who do not strictly follow Wikipedia's policies, expected standards of behaviour, or the page-specific restrictions, when making edits related to the topic. For additional information, please see the guidance on these sanctions. If you have any questions, or any doubts regarding what edits are appropriate, you are welcome to discuss them with me or any other editor. |

- The ISBNs (the identifiers for the books you referenced) are both invalid in a way that wouldn't be from a typo; I was just curious to know how specifically that came to happen. It commonly is something that occurs when using an LLM (as in like an AI chatbot) like ChatGPT or similar tools; did you use something like that? Perryprog (talk) 16:04, 23 October 2025 (UTC)
- To be honest, yes, I used AI. If using AI is against Wikipedia rules, I won’t use it anymore. Ömereditss (talk) 16:13, 23 October 2025 (UTC)
- Thanks for being up-front about it! It's not strictly forbidden, but a lot of care should be taken. That edit was otherwise fine, but for what it's worth the citations generated by the "cite" button are going to get you better results. (See this page for a guide on how to do that.) Really the most important thing is that you heavily review your edits, and ensure that what you're saying is what's actually backed up by the source. It's super long, but Wikipedia:Large language models has a bunch of great advice on it. I'd say it's well worth reading. Perryprog (talk) 16:22, 23 October 2025 (UTC)
- Thank you. I will do it myself from now on. Thanks for the information. Ömereditss (talk) 16:35, 23 October 2025 (UTC)
- Of course! And thanks for your contributions. They are greatly appreciated. :) Perryprog (talk) 18:17, 23 October 2025 (UTC)

Self-renaming
[edit]Hi, Ömereditss. If you want to rename your account, please use m:Special:GlobalRenameRequest. You cannot rename your account just by moving your userpage, so I have reverted that move. But if that username is available, you can get renamed to it. -- Tamzin[cetacean needed] (they|xe|🤷) 12:14, 25 October 2025 (UTC)
- @Tamzin Thanks. Ömereditss (talk) 13:01, 25 October 2025 (UTC)
Hello NEMURO
[edit]Hello, I saw that you have a request for the Kurdish Wikipedia article creator named Zemen in your communication. (Battle of Urmia (1918)) I think this is the Simko Shikak war and I am someone who has done a lot of research on this subject, I think you are too. I would like to learn more about this topic. Can we get in touch? 46.196.158.76 (talk) 17:15, 25 October 2025 (UTC)
- Hello, I don’t understand NEMURO (talk) 17:26, 25 October 2025 (UTC)
- @Asilvering What exactly is going on here? [1] Asilvering and I already said the same thing. [2][3] You cannot reactivate articles created by blocked editors on Wikipedia. [4] It is particularly interesting that IP continues this attitude despite me warning Zemen on the talk page. Kajmer05 (talk) 20:49, 25 October 2025 (UTC)
- I swear to you, I don’t know either. If you suspect, you can check the IP NEMURO (talk) 20:54, 25 October 2025 (UTC)
- @NEMURO, the point we've been trying to make here is that your edits give the impression that you are co-ordinating with other editors off-wiki, including ones that have been blocked from editing. That's already a bad look, but when you go ask other editors to create those articles for you, you're also running the risk of implicating them in whatever is going on. -- asilvering (talk) 21:00, 25 October 2025 (UTC)
- Okay, fine. From now on, I will be more careful, and as soon as I find anyone trying to restore deleted pages of banned users, I will warn them. Thanks for Warning NEMURO (talk) 21:11, 25 October 2025 (UTC)

Speedy deletion nomination of Siege of Beyazet (1829)
[edit]Hello NEMURO,
I wanted to let you know that I just tagged Siege of Beyazet (1829) for deletion, because it's a redirect from an article title to a namespace that's not for articles.
If you don't want Siege of Beyazet (1829) to be deleted, you can contest this deletion, but don't remove the speedy deletion tag from the top.
You can leave a note on my talk page if you have questions. Thanks!
