Translation
[edit]Hello! Strange request here, but an article about me and my Wikipedia work has been promoted to Good article status at English Wikipedia. I'm curious if you have any interest in translating the entry for Polish Wikipedia? Figured I'd ask since your profile suggests you do translation work. Either way, happy editing! ---Another Believer (Talk) 17:53, 22 March 2023 (UTC)

Cypher article
[edit]Hi Kaworu1992, I'm dropping by here because Teahouse threads get archived pretty quickly. (I replied to you during my lunch break yesterday, then went back to work, then immediately into my Starfinder game where we finished a big boss battle ⚔️) I haven't done much editing in the TTRPG area so I had a look at the current guidelines at WP:RPG. I was interested to see the comments about difficulty finding good § Sources which lines up with your experience. It's fine to reference sources in other languages if they are reliable; if you use direct quotes it's helpful to provide an English translation. The citation templates that we use here have parameters for specifying non-English-language sources – see the documentation at Help:Citation Style 1 § Language. I might have more time to look at your draft over the weekend, and you can also visit the WikiProject's talk page if you want other RPG fans to have a look. — ClaudineChionh (she/her · talk · email · global) 22:43, 14 May 2025 (UTC)
User space drafts
[edit]Hi Kaworu, I've cleaned up a few of your user space drafts for grammar and double-checked translation (fair warning - I'm not a native Polish speaker but am a native English speaker) so far, do you mind if I continue this? Feel free to revert my edits if you disagree with my changes. Best regards, Grumpylawnchair (talk) 02:26, 15 May 2025 (UTC)
Hello. You're invited to participate in The World Destubathon. We're aiming to destub a lot of articles and also improve longer stale articles. It started today on Monday June 16 and will run until Sunday July 13. There is over $3300 going into it, with $500 the top prize. If you are interested in winning something to save you money in buying books for future content, or just see it as a good editathon opportunity to see a lot of articles improved for subjects which interest you, sign up on the page in the participants section if interested. Even if you can only manage a few articles they would be very much appreciated and help make the content produced as diverse and broad as possible!♦ Dr. Blofeld 18:47, 16 June 2025 (UTC)

When a topic is encyclopedic
[edit]Hello Kaworu1992, Some time ago, you, an extended-confirmed user with a 15-year-old account, approximately a dozen created articles (and more extensive experience contributing to an edition of Wikipedia in another language), asked editors at Teahouse—an interactive help page for new users to be welcomed and get the most basic answers—if the topic of Nox Archaist is encyclopedic (link). You had also written a draft about this topic. The content of the draft did not at all indicate that the topic is encyclopedic. An AfC reviewer declined the draft. However, after my investigation, I was able to determine quite easily within minutes that, yes, the topic is encyclopedic. Subsequent to that, I edited the draft so that it speaks to its subject's notability, and have moved it to article space.
I am writing to you now simply to tell you that you could have, just as easily as I did, confirmed yourself that the topic is encyclopedic by investigating if there are adequate sources that help prove notability.
Proving that the topic is notable is how editors determine if the topic is encyclopedic. Editors do this by following the Wikipedia:Notability guideline. Your questions at the Teahouse suggest you seem unfamiliar with this guideline (perhaps you know that a guideline titled "Notability" exists but do not know what it says and what its purpose is). The statements in our articles need to be verifiable using what has already been published about the topic. When we can locate multiple sources that are reliable, contain significant coverage, and are independent of the subject of the article, practically any topic can be treated encyclopedically. This principle is famously called WP:GNG. The question "Is [topic] encyclopedic" is answered by answering the question: "Is [subject] a notable topic?"
Adequate sourcing for this topic was accessible on the Internet, yet it seems as if you hadn't even looked for such sources (except for finding the Vice article). You were instead focused on a book written by the creator of Nox Archaist. Citing this non-independent source, you added statements such as: Nox Archaist features many innovations and achievments, such as ... the spells' animations also are atypical for an 8-bit game and quite advanced
. Based on such a source, making such a statement was quite unencyclopedic. It would have only been encyclopedic if an independent reviewer wrote that in their review.
The same applies to your draft Draft:Cypher System, another draft that an AfC reviewer declined. It could very well be that this is a notable topic, but your draft does not at all suggest to other editors that it is.
Therefore I am leaving this message on your talk page, simply to give you a suggestion to study the notability guideline.
Sincerely, —Alalch E. 13:47, 17 July 2025 (UTC)
