[edit] Hello, I'm Leonidlednev. I noticed that you recently removed content from Relic of the tooth of the Buddha without adequately explaining why. In the future, it would be helpful to others if you described your changes to Wikipedia with an accurate edit summary. If this was a mistake, don't worry; the removed content has been restored. If you would like to experiment, please use your sandbox. If you think I made a mistake, or if you have any questions, you can leave me a message on my talk page. Thanks. Welcome to Wikipedia. Although everyone is welcome to contribute constructively to the encyclopedia, articles should not be moved, as you did to Velgam Vehera, without good reason. They should have a name that is both accurate and intuitive. Wikipedia has some guidelines in place to help with this. Generally, a page should only be moved to a new title if the current name doesn't follow these guidelines. Also, if a page move is being discussed, consensus needs to be reached before anybody moves the page. If you would like to experiment with page titles and moving, please use the test Wikipedia. Take a look at the welcome page to learn more about contributing to this encyclopedia. Please leave page moves to experienced editors who know the article title policies. Thank you. (I will post you a welcome message in a moment.) Sam Sailor 17:43, 26 October 2024 (UTC)
License tagging for File:Wilgamwehera Somawathi Stupa.jpg
[edit]Thanks for uploading File:Wilgamwehera Somawathi Stupa.jpg. You don't seem to have indicated the license status of the image. Wikipedia uses a set of image copyright tags to indicate this information.
To add a tag to the image, select the appropriate tag from this list, click on this link, then click "Edit this page" and add the tag to the image's description. If there doesn't seem to be a suitable tag, the image is probably not appropriate for use on Wikipedia. For help in choosing the correct tag, or for any other questions, leave a message on Wikipedia:Media copyright questions. Thank you for your cooperation. --ImageTaggingBot (talk) 16:30, 31 October 2024 (UTC)

[edit] Hello, I'm Obi2canibe. I noticed that you added or changed content in an article, List of the oldest schools in Sri Lanka, but you didn't provide a reliable source. It's been removed and archived in the page history for now, but if you'd like to include a citation and re-add it, please do so. You can have a look at referencing for beginners. If you think I made a mistake, you can leave me a message on my talk page. Thank you. Obi2canibe (talk) 21:35, 11 November 2024 (UTC)
Sēruwila Wilgamwehera Rajamahā Vihāra moved to draftspace
[edit]Thanks for your contributions to Sēruwila Wilgamwehera Rajamahā Vihāra. Unfortunately, I do not think it is ready for publishing at this time because it needs more sources to establish notability and it has too many problems of language or grammar. I have converted your article to a draft which you can improve, undisturbed for a while.
Please see more information at Help:Unreviewed new page. When the article is ready for publication, please click on the "Submit for review" button at the top of the page OR move the page back. Dclemens1971 (talk) 14:46, 10 January 2025 (UTC)
Disambiguation link notification for February 28
[edit]Hi. Thank you for your recent edits. An automated process has detected that when you recently edited Big Match, you added a link pointing to the disambiguation page 5th. Such links are usually incorrect, since a disambiguation page is merely a list of unrelated topics with similar titles. (Read the FAQ • Join us at the DPL WikiProject.)
It's OK to remove this message. Also, to stop receiving these messages, follow these opt-out instructions. Thanks, --DPL bot (talk) 07:56, 28 February 2025 (UTC)

[edit] Please do not remove content or templates from pages on Wikipedia, as you did at Kanniya Hot Springs, without giving a valid reason for the removal in the edit summary. Your content removal does not appear to be constructive and has been reverted. If you only meant to make a test edit, please use your sandbox for that. Thank you. [edit] You may be blocked from editing without further warning the next time you make a disruptive edit to Wikipedia contrary to the Manual of Style, as you did at Maudgalayana. Ixudi (talk) 13:40, 26 August 2025 (UTC)
- I did not add anything new; it is you who have introduced new content into the articles. The main names in all these articles were originally given in Pali, but you have replaced them with Sanskrit names. Even the images that were previously there have been changed by you. Almost all of the content in these articles was written according to the Theravāda Buddhist tradition, but you have altered it to reflect the Mahāyāna tradition. What I did was simply arrange the original article as it was.
- When, I was edited, I think as I should informed the administrators about these changes because they seemed to be made according to personal preference rather than based on the original content of the articles. Please check whether additions made to an article are suitable or not. Your effort to improve the articles is appreciated, but major changes should be made only on fair and reasonable grounds
- Thank You,

Non-attributed translations
[edit] Thank you for your contributions to Wikipedia. It appears that you translated text from si:ශ්රී අංගුලිමාල මහා සෑය to Sri Angulimala Maha Stupa, Sri Lanka. While you are welcome to translate Wikipedia content, here or elsewhere, Wikipedia's licensing requires that you provide attribution to the contributor(s) of the original article. When translating from a foreign-language Wikipedia article, this is supplied at a minimum in an edit summary on the page where you add translated content, identifying it as a translation and linking it to the source page. Sample wording for this is given here. If you forgot, or were not aware of this requirement, attribution must be given retroactively, for example:
NOTE: Content in the edit of 01:25, January 25, 2023 was translated from the existing French Wikipedia article at [[:fr:Exact name of French article]]; see its history for attribution.
Retroactive attribution may be added using a dummy edit; see Repairing insufficient attribution. It is good practice, especially if translation is extensive, to also place a properly formatted {{translated page}} template on the talk page of the destination article. If you have added translated content previously which was not attributed at the time it was added, you must add attribution retrospectively, even if it was a long time ago. You can read more about author attribution and the reasons for it at Wikipedia:Copying within Wikipedia. Thank you. Dclemens1971 (talk) 14:37, 2 September 2025 (UTC)
