Hi Heshamrakha! Thanks for contributing to Wikipedia. We hope to see you there!

Welcome!
[edit]Hello, Heshamrakha, and welcome to Wikipedia! Thank you for your contributions.
I noticed that one of the first articles you created or edited appears to be an article (or draft of an article) about yourself. Writing about yourself is a common mistake made by new Wikipedians.
As this is an encyclopedia, we wouldn't expect to have an article about every contributor. We require individuals to meet Wikipedia's definition of a notable person to accept articles about them. A page you created about yourself may well be deleted from the encyclopedia. If it is deleted and you wish to retrieve its contents, don't hesitate to ask anyone from this list and they will copy it to your user page.
If your contributions to an existing article about yourself are undone and you wish to add to or change it, please propose the changes on its talk page.
Here are some pages that you might find helpful:
I hope you enjoy editing here and being a Wikipedian! Please sign your messages on talk pages using four tildes (~~~~); this will automatically insert your username and the date. If you need help, check out Wikipedia:Questions, ask me on my talk page, or ask your question on this page and then place {{help me}} before the question. Again, welcome! [edit]Hi, thanks for the message. You can sign your comments automatically using four tildes ~~~~. Please add your messages to the bottom of the talk page, with a heading, or they may be overlooked.
You have an obvious conflict of interest, please don't write about yourself, your friends or relatives and read the guidance below:
- When you write about a person, you must provide independent verifiable sources to enable us to verify the facts and show that they meet the notability guidelines. Sources that are not acceptable include those linked to the person or an associated organisation, press releases, YouTube, IMDB, social media and other sites that can be self-edited, blogs, websites of unknown or non-reliable provenance, and sites that are just reporting what the person claims or interviewing them. Note that references should be in-line so we can tell what fact each is supporting, and should not be bare urls.
- Your deleted version was almost entirely sourced to your own papers, not independent third-party sources.
- Publications written by you should be listed as such, in a separate section if preferred, with no references for the items. They should not be used as references either, since by definition they are not independent third-party sources as required here.
- You must write in a non-promotional tone. Articles must be neutral and encyclopaedic, with verifiable facts, not opinions or reviews.
- There shouldn't be any url links in the article, only in the "References" or "External links" sections.
- You must not copy text from elsewhere. Copyrighted text is not allowed in Wikipedia, as outlined in this policy. That applies even to pages created by you or your organisation, unless they state clearly and explicitly that the text is public domain. We require that text posted here can be used, modified and distributed for any purpose, including commercial; text is considered to be copyright unless explicitly stated otherwise. There are ways to donate copyrighted text to Wikipedia, as described here; please note that simply asserting on the talk page that you are the owner of the copyright, or you have permission to use the text, isn't sufficient.
- I didn't check, but you uploaded a picture at Commons with a fake copyright claim that I'd already deleted here. I've nominated it for deletion there, too.
It's unlikely that your new version will be accepted either.
- It's mostly unsourced, and the only refs are, again, to your own papers and your own university's pages
- it's full of in-text external links that you must remove.
Before attempting to write an article again, please make sure that the topic meets the notability criteria linked above, and check that you can find independent third party sources. Also read Your first article. If you are writing about yourself, or someone you know as a friend, colleague, client, employer or relative, you have a conflict of interest, and you must disclose the nature of that COI.
I'll move your sandbox to a draft page, the preferred location Jimfbleak - talk to me? 14:09, 25 November 2025 (UTC)

MCE89 (talk) 15:39, 3 December 2025 (UTC)- Thank you @MCE89! Do you have any suggestions for improvement? Anything you suggest will be very helpful. Heshamrakha (talk) 16:13, 3 December 2025 (UTC)
- Hi @MCE89,
- Someone moved my article to a draft article. I had added some stuff, which I found on other wikipedia pages and assumed this would be fine. Do you mind reviewing my article and making any edits you deem necessary for it to be published as an article.
- Thanks Heshamrakha (talk) 01:44, 6 December 2025 (UTC)
- Hi Heshamrakha. Please don't edit the page directly once it's accepted. Given that you have a conflict of interest, you should instead be using edit requests on the talk page once the page is accepted. You very clearly meet our eligibility criteria for a page, but the page is written too much like a resume at the moment. A Wikipedia page is not a place for self-promotion or to list all of your awards and accomplishments. I'm going to clean the page up for you again, and I strongly suggest that you do not edit it further yourself. I've been asked not to review it again myself, but another reviewer will get to it eventually and I expect that it will be acceped. MCE89 (talk) 04:22, 6 December 2025 (UTC)
- Thank you, @MCE89. I really appreciate all your help. Would it be possible to add these as well, given that I feel these are important:
- Evaluated when buying an electric vehicle is good for your wallet[1] and developed a tool to compute and compare the cost of gasoline and electric vehicles[2].
- Developed tools to compare and quantify the energy and environmental impacts of alternative powertrains on the train freight system in the US[3][4].
- Quantified network-wide non-exhaust tire and brake emissions from electric vehicles and compared them to gasoline vehicles[5].

Hesham Rakha moved to draftspace
[edit]Thanks for your contributions to Hesham Rakha. Unfortunately, I do not think it is ready for publishing at this time because it is promotional and reads like an advertisement and see WP:AUTOBIOGRAPHY. I have converted your article to a draft which you can improve, undisturbed for a while.
Please see more information at Help:Unreviewed new page. When the article is ready for publication, please click on the "Submit the draft for review!" button at the top of the page OR move the page back. MediaKyle (talk) 20:26, 5 December 2025 (UTC)
- This webpage is consistent with other webpages that I used to create mine. Could you be more specific about why you feel it is promotional? Heshamrakha (talk) 20:31, 5 December 2025 (UTC)
- Please see WP:AUTOBIOGRAPHY. Do not attempt to publish this article again -- please submit to Articles for Creation for review by other editors. Thanks, MediaKyle (talk) 20:32, 5 December 2025 (UTC)
