Help with Relatable Sources
[edit]dear @Onel5969,
this isn’t supposed to be a demand message but a very important question…why don’t you just help instead of move to draft? each of the articles fall under the same way they are all created under…waiting until the sources come out (the entry list, practice, qualifying, and race results). after the race, they get tagged, then some get moved to draft. I just want to know why.
thanks Brycenrichter (talk) 20:05, 4 September 2025 (UTC)
- I stopped moving them to draft, because there were so many. If the remaining ones are not expanded to include enough in-depth sourcing from independent, reliable sources (which there are none in any of the articles currently), then they will most likely be turned into redirects. Draft is where you can work on creating an article, and wait until there is enough sourcing to pass WP:GNG prior to moving them to mainspace. I have no interest in this subject matter, so I don't spend time on researching them. Hope this helps. Onel5969 TT me 21:57, 4 September 2025 (UTC)
Last race
[edit]In the future, please don't update the "Last X race" parameter until the race has actually happened. Electricmemory (talk) 23:04, 11 September 2025 (UTC)
- F1 does it ALL the time…i just did it earlier Brycenrichter (talk) 23:05, 11 September 2025 (UTC)
- They shouldn't be, and you shouldn't be either. It's factually incorrect to say a driver's latest race is a race that hasn't started yet. Electricmemory (talk) 23:08, 11 September 2025 (UTC)
- true… Brycenrichter (talk) 23:10, 11 September 2025 (UTC)
- @Brycenrichter You're free to update it the second the green flag drops but please don't do it before then. Thanks. Electricmemory (talk) 23:12, 11 September 2025 (UTC)
- i did it in the middle of the race if your referring to the ARCA/ARCA east thing Brycenrichter (talk) 23:13, 11 September 2025 (UTC)
- I was referring to Brent Crews. Truck race starts in an hour :) Electricmemory (talk) 23:14, 11 September 2025 (UTC)

Copying within wikipedia
[edit] Thank you for your contributions to Wikipedia. It appears that you copied or moved content from Lime Rock Park into 2025 Lime Rock Park 100. While you are welcome to re-use Wikipedia's content (here or elsewhere), Wikipedia's licensing does require that you provide attribution to the original contributor(s). When copying within Wikipedia, this is supplied at minimum in an edit summary at the page into which you've copied content, disclosing the copying and linking to the copied page, e.g.,
copied content from [[page name]]; see that page's history for attribution
. It is good practice, especially if copying is extensive, to also place a properly formatted {{copied}} template on the talk pages of the source and destination. Please provide attribution for this duplication if it has not already been supplied by another editor, and if you have copied material between pages before, even if it was a long time ago, you should provide attribution for that also. You can read more about the procedure and the reasons at Wikipedia:Copying within Wikipedia. Thank you.
Looks like there's a pattern of this copying to develop a "Background" section in each article. I don't think such a section is at all necessary, and have started a conversation about it in Wikipedia talk:WikiProject NASCAR#Pattern of Inappropriate copying. -- mikeblas (talk) 20:19, 22 September 2025 (UTC)
generic track names
[edit]yo! i just wanted to inform you i think were (the nascar wikipedians) are trying to include "motor speedway/raceway" to the title, as i've noticed you redirected them a lot, with it just being "(series) at (track city)" without the speedway. i informed glman about it too, idk which one he wants but i'd say withever one he wants we should go with it. 45BearsFan (talk) 00:59, 28 September 2025 (UTC)
- yeah that sounds good…I know a user already made O’Reilly redirects with just the city/track name on it so I just did it that way. Brycenrichter (talk) 02:31, 28 September 2025 (UTC)
- @45BearsFan, check out my latest edit on Connor Zilisch for what we should do for next year with it Brycenrichter (talk) 17:37, 4 October 2025 (UTC)
