Hi @Bakhtar40, the media references I submitted for Do Gooders article mention Do Gooders as a company and its services and that it won an award in 2024. If I edit my article to mention just those points, will my article get accepted? Grant Enthusiast (talk) 19:44, 26 September 2025 (UTC)[reply]

April 2024

[edit]

Hello! Welcome to Wikipedia, and thank you for your contributions. At least one of your edits on the page Sajjan Jindal, while it may have been in good faith, was difficult to distinguish from vandalism. To help other editors understand the reason for the changes, you can use an edit summary for your contributions. You can also take a look at the welcome page to learn more about contributing to this encyclopedia. As per the Wiki etiquettes', I am letting you know why I removed the "Rape allegation" text from Sajjan Jindal's page. I did so in line with WP:BLPCRIME because Sajjan Jindal is not directly a public figure, falling under the "Eminence, but Low-Profile" subsection. According to this guideline, editors should be cautious about including material that implies someone has committed a crime unless there's a conviction. If you wish to put forward your opinion about your edit, then I invite you to discuss this at article's talk page. Mmccaea (talk) 09:03, 29 April 2024 (UTC)[reply]

You are removing well cited info. Bakhtar40 (talk) 11:35, 29 April 2024 (UTC)[reply]
It seems you are intentionally avoiding reading and understanding WP:BLPCRIME. I kindly ask you once more to review it, engage in discussion on the article's talk page, and then proceed accordingly. Mmccaea (talk) 11:48, 29 April 2024 (UTC)[reply]

Please explain your contributions using a descriptive edit summary. Changing information on Wikipedia (such as numbers and dates) without explanation, as you did at Sajjan Jindal, may be confused with vandalism. Please confirm that you have received and comprehended the previous message regarding your recent edits at Sajjan Jindal. We would greatly appreciate your participation and input on the article's talk page. Mmccaea (talk) 11:46, 29 April 2024 (UTC)[reply]

@Bakhtar40 WP:3RR could have gotten both of us blocked. Though our friendship began on the wrong foot, let us stay in touch and support each other in our wiki edits. Thank you once again. Mmccaea (talk) 12:47, 29 April 2024 (UTC)[reply]
Sure Mmccaea, we are friends now. Today, i have leant a great lesson from this edit warring. I will be in touch and looking forward to help each other. Bakhtar40 (talk) 17:49, 29 April 2024 (UTC)[reply]

Hello, I'm AgisdeSparte. I noticed that you made a change to an article, Shovana Narayan, but you didn't provide a source. I’ve removed it for now, but if you’d like to include a citation to a reliable source and re-add it, please do so! If you think I made a mistake, or if you have any questions, you can leave me a message on my talk page. Thanks. AgisdeSparte (talk) 11:26, 31 May 2024 (UTC)[reply]

Please don't be so impatient to revert edits on Wikipedia. Give time to contributors to complete their task. I just un-do your edits following the addition of reliable references. Bakhtar40 (talk) 11:34, 31 May 2024 (UTC)[reply]

CK Birla Group Changes

[edit]

Hi Bakhtar40, I have noticed the changes in the article CK Birla Group were incorrect. The owner's name was inaccurate and then it was semi-locked. By checking the references and the historical details, I have corrected them. (Old version) -- VKG1985 (Talk | E-Mail | Contrib) 17:45, 16 June 2024 (UTC)[reply]

Lanka Tiles

[edit]

You edits appear unconstructive. Please read WP:LEAD for a start. Chanaka L (talk) 06:47, 14 July 2024 (UTC)[reply]

Yes, this is constructive. The paragraph i removed either promotional or already covered in history. Bakhtar40 (talk) 06:49, 14 July 2024 (UTC)[reply]
Please read WP:LEAD, Duplicating info containing body in lead section is the point of lead section. Chanaka L (talk) 06:51, 14 July 2024 (UTC)[reply]
Please discuss, major changes before making them, including removing cited info Chanaka L (talk) 06:52, 14 July 2024 (UTC)[reply]
This is the page created by you and it promotes the subject somewhere. You are adding promotional content. And the introduction para is absolutely not in Wikipedia:Neutral point of view. Bakhtar40 (talk) 06:54, 14 July 2024 (UTC)[reply]
It is true that I created the page. I am afraid I disagree with you saying I added promotional content. Lanka Tiles is one of the most valuable brands in Sri Lanka. It is fact, nothing promotional there. Please refer [1]. Chanaka L (talk) 06:59, 14 July 2024 (UTC)[reply]
I am not agree with you. You are adding puffery and peacock words backed with not reliable references. Bakhtar40 (talk) 07:03, 14 July 2024 (UTC)[reply]
If you say what exactly are the puffery and peacock words, I am willing to discuss and remove them. Chanaka L (talk) 07:05, 14 July 2024 (UTC)[reply]

Information icon Hi Bakhtar40! I noticed that you have reverted to restore your preferred version of an article several times. The impulse to undo an edit you disagree with is understandable, but I wanted to make sure you're aware that the edit warring policy disallows repeated reversions even if they are justifiable.

All editors are expected to discuss content disputes on article talk pages to try to reach consensus. If you are unable to agree, please use one of the dispute resolution options to seek input from others. Using this approach instead of reverting can help you avoid getting drawn into an edit war. Thank you. Cremastra (talk) 07:39, 14 July 2024 (UTC)[reply]

Dear Cremastra, I appreciate the notification. I apologize for using Tehouse instead of Dispute Resolution Center for the discussion posting. Bakhtar40 (talk) 07:47, 14 July 2024 (UTC)[reply]

[edit]

Hello Bakhtar40:

WikiProject Articles for creation is holding a month long Backlog Drive in June!
The goal of this drive is to reduce the backlog of unreviewed drafts to less than 1 month of outstanding reviews from the current 3+ months. Bonus points will be given for reviewing drafts that have been waiting more than 30 days. The drive is running from 1 June 2025 through 30 June 2025.

You may find Category:AfC pending submissions by age or other categories and sorting helpful.

Barnstars will be given out as awards at the end of the drive.

@Bakhtar40: Thanks for reviewing my Draft:Kentico submission.

Can you please elaborate on what is considered "advertisement-like"? I've already removed a lot of content from the original version. Is there a particular section you feel still crosses the line?

I’ve also compared this draft to other CMS/DXP articles (like Sitecore and Umbraco), and I wouldn’t classify my writing as more promotional than those. Would you be willing to provide a little more specific guidance?

Hello @Bakhtar40,

Hope you're doing well.

I noticed that you recently reviewed or edited the Semnox Solutions Wikipedia draft (https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Draft:Semnox_Solutions ) and marked it to remain in draftspace with a note mentioning "more sources needed" and a custom reason.

I’m part of the marketing team at Semnox and would really appreciate any guidance or clarification on what exactly is missing or needs improvement in the draft to make it eligible for the mainspace.

We’re happy to add independent references or make further edits as required—just want to ensure we're on the right track per Wikipedia's guidelines.

Thanks in advance for your time and support!

Draft review

[edit]

Submitted my Draft:Department of Personnel, Administrative Reforms & Rajbhasha (Jharkhand) for review almost two months ago. It appears to be still awaiting assessment. I understand the backlog situation but I would appreciate if you could kindly take a look at it. Thanks. Flashthomsom (talk) 17:28, 3 November 2025 (UTC)[reply]

Blocked as a sockpuppet

[edit]
Wikipedia's technical logs indicate that this user account has been or may be used abusively as a sockpuppet of User:GermanKity per the evidence presented at Wikipedia:Sockpuppet investigations/GermanKity. It has been blocked indefinitely from editing to prevent abuse.

Note that multiple accounts are allowed, but not for illegitimate reasons, and any contributions made while evading blocks or bans may be reverted or deleted.
If you think there are good reasons why you should be unblocked, you should review the guide to appealing blocks, and then appeal your block by adding the following text below this notice: {{unblock|Your reason here ~~~~}}. Note that anything you post in your unblock request will be public, so you may alternatively use the Unblock Ticket Request System to submit an appeal if it contains information that must be private.

Administrators: Checkusers have access to confidential system logs not accessible by the public or by administrators due to the Wikimedia Foundation's privacy policy. You must not loosen or remove this block, or issue an IP block exemption, without consulting with a checkuser or the Arbitration Committee. Administrators who undo checkuser blocks without permission from a checkuser or the Arbitration Committee may be summarily desysopped.

Request reason:

Dear Sir, I would like to know if there is any way I can start fresh after my previous contributions, which may not have met Wikipedia’s standards. I genuinely wish to contribute to Wikipedia in accordance with WP:NPOV and all other community guidelines. Should I create a new user account, or is there another recommended way to begin again? If you believe that all my edits under this account (Bakhtar40) were not made in good faith and that I should discontinue using it, please let me know. If there is still a chance for me to restart and contribute positively, I would appreciate your guidance on how to proceed. @Blablubbs, @Liz, @331dot, @Toddy1, @Yamla, @GeneralNotability, @Girth Summit, Oshwah, @RoySmith, @Spicy, JBW, @TheSandDoctor, @Salvio giuliano, @The Wordsmith, @Newslinger, @Vanamonde, @Toadspike, @Barkeep49, @Mz7 Bakhtar40 (talk) 08:56, 5 November 2025 (UTC)[reply]

Decline reason:

This is not a sensible appeal. You've been blocked as a likely sock, which you don't even mention. If you wish to appeal again, talk to the reason for your block, and try to convince us that it is without merit, despite the strong evidence against you. (And next time, don't ping twenty users in your appeal!) DoubleGrazing (talk) 10:00, 5 November 2025 (UTC)[reply]

If you want to make any further unblock requests, please read the guide to appealing blocks first, then use the {{unblock}} template again. If you make too many unconvincing or disruptive unblock requests, you may be prevented from editing this page until your block has expired. Do not remove this unblock review while you are blocked.

@Bakhtar40: Was the Bakhtar40 account your only account? If the answer is no, WP:SOCKBLOCK tells you what to do. Following that advice can work. -- Toddy1 (talk) 09:08, 5 November 2025 (UTC)[reply]
