Introduction to contentious topics
[edit]You have recently edited a page related to the topics of Kurds and Kurdistan, broadly construed, a topic designated as contentious. This is a brief introduction to contentious topics and does not imply that there are any issues with your editing.
A special set of rules applies to certain topic areas, which are referred to as contentious topics. These are specially designated topics that tend to attract more persistent disruptive editing than the rest of the project and have been designated as contentious topics by the Arbitration Committee. When editing a contentious topic, Wikipedia’s norms and policies are more strictly enforced, and Wikipedia administrators have an expanded level of powers and discretion in order to reduce disruption to the project.
Within contentious topics, editors should edit carefully and constructively, refrain from disrupting the encyclopedia, and:
- adhere to the purposes of Wikipedia;
- comply with all applicable policies and guidelines;
- follow editorial and behavioural best practices;
- comply with any page restrictions in force within the area of conflict; and
- refrain from gaming the system.
Editors are advised to err on the side of caution if unsure whether making a particular edit is consistent with these expectations. If you have any questions about contentious topics procedures, you may ask them at the arbitration clerks' noticeboard or you may learn more about this contentious topic here. You may also choose to note which contentious topics you know about by using the {{Ctopics/aware}} template.

March 2025
[edit] Hello, I'm Doug Weller. I noticed that you added or changed content in an article, Piri Reis, but you didn't provide a reliable source. It's been removed and archived in the page history for now, but if you'd like to include a citation and re-add it, please do so. You can have a look at referencing for beginners. If you think I made a mistake, you can leave me a message on my talk page. Where you added Kurdish as his ethnicity Doug Weller talk 15:15, 6 March 2025 (UTC)
Your DNA articles
[edit]Look very impressive but lack inline citations. See Help:Referencing for beginners. I've mentioned them at Wikipedia talk:WikiProject Medicine#Two new articles on DNA need scrutiny. Doug Weller talk 15:34, 6 March 2025 (UTC)

Kurdish scientists and scholars moved to draftspace
[edit]Thanks for your contributions to Kurdish scientists and scholars. Unfortunately, I do not think it is ready for publishing at this time because it has no sources and page formatting needs to be fixed before publishing. I have converted your article to a draft which you can improve, undisturbed for a while.
Please see more information at Help:Unreviewed new page. When the article is ready for publication, please click on the "Submit for review" button at the top of the page OR move the page back. CycloneYoris talk! 21:31, 6 March 2025 (UTC)

[edit] Hello, I'm Jlwoodwa. An article that you recently made, David Rajulkahf, seemed to be generated using a large language model (an "AI chatbot" or another application using such technology). Text produced by these applications can be unsuitable for an encyclopedia, and output must be carefully checked. In particular, you should check each citation, and fictitious references must be removed. If you want to practice editing, please use your sandbox. If you think I made a mistake, or if you have any questions, you can leave me a message on my talk page. Thanks. jlwoodwa (talk) 04:00, 3 July 2025 (UTC)
Please do not replace Wikipedia pages with blank content, as you did at Arbat Town. Your content removal does not appear to be constructive and has been reverted. If you think that the page should be deleted, please read Wikipedia:How to delete a page. If you only meant to make a test edit, please use your sandbox for that. Thank you. 184.152.65.118 (talk) 02:27, 13 July 2025 (UTC)
Hi, and thank you for your contributions to Wikipedia. It appears that you tried to give Arbat Town a different title by cutting its content and pasting either the same content, or an edited version of it, into another page with a different name. This is known as a "cut-and-paste move", and it is undesirable because it splits the page history, which is legally required for attribution. Instead, the software used by Wikipedia has a feature that allows pages to be moved to a new title together with their edit history.
In most cases for registered users, once your account is four days old and has ten edits, you should be able to move an article yourself using the "Move" tab at the top of the page (the tab may be hidden in a dropdown menu for you). This both preserves the page history intact and automatically creates a redirect from the old title to the new. If you cannot perform a particular page move yourself this way (e.g. because a page already exists at the target title), please follow the instructions at requested moves to have it moved by someone else. Also, if there are any other pages that you moved by copying and pasting, even if it was a long time ago, please list them at Wikipedia:Requests for history merge. Thank you. 184.152.65.118 (talk) 02:48, 13 July 2025 (UTC)
To clarify the above, you need to go to WP:RM/TR and follow the instructions there to move the page to a new title. 184.152.65.118 (talk) 02:49, 13 July 2025 (UTC)

Thank you for creating Firmesk Hafez.
I have tagged the page as having some issues to fix, as a part of our page curation process and note that:
Sources don't need to be in English; a brief search of Google Iran turned up valid references that will help establish notability.
