Shouldn't link "Shrine"
[edit]It's an ordinary English word, everybody knows what it means, so MOS:OVERLINK says we don't link it. Isaac Rabinovitch (talk) 17:06, 2 December 2024 (UTC)
Removing the influences/influencers section
[edit]This was discussed for the person infobox talkpage at Template talk:Infobox person#Significantly influenced/ significant influencers, and some people think that it should apply to here as well, as these sections are too broad and opinionated. What are your guys' thoughts? Wikieditor662 (talk) 04:25, 11 January 2025 (UTC)

Description of suggested change: Change color of infobox, dependent upon religion. The use of gold as a color for the infobox is quite jarring for religions other than Christainity; for example, Islam, when use of green is more appropriate. I'm wondering if, like {{Infobox religious building}}, when the religion is chosen in honored_in/venerated_in etc., that the color of the infobox change to reflect the appropriate religion. Obviously, where multiple religions honor the saint, that may cause complications; and hence the use of a default color, or main religion or denomination parameter may be appropriate. There was some very minor discussion on the color of the infobox here, in 2020.
Diff: I'm not experienced enough to propose the syntax required to bring about the proposed change.

Not done: it's not clear what changes you want to be made. Please mention the specific changes in a "change X to Y" format and provide a reliable source if appropriate. – Jonesey95 (talk) 16:34, 23 February 2025 (UTC)
Removal of influences & influenced params.
[edit]This discussion removed these two params (|influences= & |influenced= from {{infobox philosopher}} and I am wondering if the same logic does not apply here… Zackmann (Talk to me/What I been doing) 05:08, 25 September 2025 (UTC)
Template:Infobox person has an RfC

native_name
[edit]The template should have the "native_name" line much like most other biographic infoboxes. With some saints, like the Serbian ones, the native name is just smooshed together with the real name in bold, which is not common practice anywhere on enwiki.
