Add {{Promising draft}} and make it invisible to this draft page and Draft:Example Suggestion

[edit]

Since G13 excludes pages tagged with the {{Promising draft}} template, maybe it could be added to this draft, and Draft:Example so that they don't need to be "touched" every 6 months. Should the template be invisible on both drafts, because they are only example pages? I don't know everything on how this works, so please tell me if i'm wrong. Thanks, PorkchopGMX 14:42, 14 May 2018 (UTC)[reply]

  • There shouldn't be any need for this, any admin with any sort of common sense should be able to see that this page shouldn't be deleted under G13, even if it hasn't been edited in the last six months. Hut 8.5 17:27, 14 May 2018 (UTC)[reply]

{{[[Template:Ghost Security company |Ghost Security company ]]}}

Ghost Security is an application security startup based in Austin, Texas, specializing in AI-powered, autonomous protection for applications, APIs, and microservices. The company has developed a platform that leverages agentic artificial intelligence (AI) to deliver real-time discovery, detection, and mitigation of security vulnerabilities within complex, cloud-native environments.[1]

Overview

[edit]
  • Founded: 2022
  • Headquarters: Austin, Texas, United States
  • Founders: Greg Martin (CEO) and Josh Larsen (CTO)
  • Funding: Raised approximately $15 million in initial venture funding from 468 Capital, DNX Ventures, and Munich Re Ventures.[2]

History

[edit]

Ghost Security launched publicly by emerging from stealth in August 2022, introducing a data science-driven approach to securing applications and APIs. The company positioned itself as an alternative to traditional solutions, which it argued were outdated in the face of cloud-native expansion.[1]

In October 2024, Ghost introduced Reaper, an open-source, agentic AI-powered application security testing framework designed to autonomously select and execute tailored attack types. Built with a "human-in-the-loop" approach, Reaper represented the company’s philosophy of building native AI-first security technology.[3]

In April 2025, Ghost released research challenging the effectiveness of static application security testing (SAST) tools, advocating for a new AI-based methodology called Contextual Application Security Testing (CAST).[4]

Products

[edit]
  • Ghost Platform — an AI-driven application security platform for continuous discovery and monitoring of applications, APIs, and dependencies.[3]
  • Reaper — open-source AI-powered testing framework.[3]
  • Exorcist Engine — the company’s contextual analysis engine designed to detect logic and authorization flaws while reducing false positives.[5]

Vision

[edit]

Ghost Security has articulated a goal to automate up to 80% of the day-to-day workload of application security analysts, addressing the cybersecurity talent shortage and enabling organizations to secure large-scale systems through automation.[6]

Leadership

[edit]
  • Greg Martin, Co-founder and CEO — previously founded Anomali and JASK, and is credited with creating the first threat intelligence platform.[7]
  • Josh Larsen, Co-founder and CTO — former Symantec engineer and co-founder of Blackfin Security Group, acquired by Symantec in 2015.[1]

Customers

[edit]

Ghost Security reports enterprise customers across industries such as finance, healthcare, and insurance.[citation needed]

Recognition

[edit]

The company has been covered by major technology and business publications, including TechCrunch, SecurityWeek, and Business Wire, highlighting its innovative use of AI and early funding progress.[8]
