Wikisyntax error

[edit]

Hello, can you please fix the wikisyntax error causing a section that I just added at Talk:Minar-e-Pakistan, to be merged with another section? (see at the bottom of the page) Thanks. MŠLQr (talk) 08:03, 24 October 2025 (UTC)[reply]

Somehow, I have fixed it myself. Sorry for this message. MŠLQr (talk) 08:18, 24 October 2025 (UTC)[reply]

Curry FAQ?

[edit]

Hi Arjayay, we've had quite a few fairly difficult visits over at Curry. I've drafted an FAQ in my sandbox, which Zefr suggests you might be so kind as to take a look at. The question is the same one I asked him: would that FAQ (either the short or the full version) make things better or worse? If you have a moment, I'd be grateful for your input. All the best, Chiswick Chap (talk) 19:30, 26 October 2025 (UTC)[reply]

Hi Chiswick Chap I'll have a look later I'm having intermittent connection problems at the moment. - Arjayay (talk) 19:57, 26 October 2025 (UTC)[reply]
Many thanks. Chiswick Chap (talk) 20:00, 26 October 2025 (UTC)[reply]

Thanks

Recently I've noticed you removing duplicate "and"s on articles in my watchlist and and ;-) I wanted to express my gratitude for your work removing duplicate words in those articles and many others. Raskuly (talk) 18:11, 27 October 2025 (UTC)[reply]

Thanks for your thanks, Raskuly, it is what us WikiGnomes do - but it always nice to be appreciated - Arjayay (talk) 18:13, 27 October 2025 (UTC)[reply]

Temporary account IP viewer granted

[edit]
The temporary account IP viewer logo, composed of the Wikipedia globe with a user and an IP address

Hello, Arjayay. Per your request, your account has been granted temporary-account-viewer rights. You are now able to reveal the IP addresses of individuals using temporary accounts that are not visible to the general public. This is very sensitive information that is only to be used to aid in anti-abuse workflows. Please take a moment to review Wikipedia:Temporary account IP viewer for more information on this user right. It is important to remember:

  • You must not share IP address data with someone who does not have the same access permissions unless disclosure is permissible as per guidelines listed at Foundation:Policy:Wikimedia Access to Temporary Account IP Addresses Policy.
  • Access must not be used for political control, to apply pressure on editors, or as a threat against another editor in a content dispute. There must be a valid reason to investigate a temporary user. Note that using multiple temporary accounts is not forbidden, so long as they are not used in violation of policies (for example, block or ban evasion).

It is also important to note that the following actions are logged for others to see:

  • When a user accepts the preference that enables or disables IP reveal for their account.
  • Revealing an IP address of a temporary account.
  • Listing the temporary accounts that are associated with one or more IP addresses (using the CIDR notation format).

Remember, even if a user is violating policy, avoid revealing personal information if possible. Use temporary account usernames rather than disclosing IP addresses directly, or give information such as same network/not same network or similar. If you do not want the user right anymore then please ask me or another administrator and it will be removed for you. You may also voluntarily give up access at any time by visiting Special:Preferences. Happy editing! Sohom (talk) 12:29, 4 November 2025 (UTC)[reply]

Regarding the Wikipedia Hijacking Issue on Genlin's Page

[edit]

Dear Arjayay, I have been authorized to revise and update the personal information on Genlin's Wikipedia page. This is to refine and incorporate some of his accurate real-life details for better completeness and reliability. I kindly request your assistance in facilitating a smooth approval and implementation of these changes. Thank you for your understanding and support. Best regards, Jason Jason.wmp (talk) 05:52, 7 November 2025 (UTC)[reply]

Jason.wmp, from what you have said, above, you have a clear Conflict of interest, so should NOT be editing that article at all. I will leave an explanatory notice on your talk page. - Arjayay (talk) 10:15, 7 November 2025 (UTC)[reply]

Protection on kakan rajput page

[edit]

Hello, Arjayay, I am the creator of the Kakan Rajput Wikipedia page. First of all, I want to thank you for previously correcting inappropriate edits I truly appreciate your efforts.

I’m reaching out because the same individual who had earlier added historically inaccurate content to the page has returned, using different IP addresses. This user has a pattern of inserting misleading and unsourced information not only on the Kakan Rajput article but also on related pages. It has become quite tiring to repeatedly undo and correct these disruptive edits.

A few months ago, I had requested page protection on the talk page, and the article was placed under protection. However, now that the protection has been lifted, the same individual has resumed adding false information.

I kindly request that you revert the recent disruptive edits. Additionally, if it is within your capability, could you please place the page back under semi-protection? This would greatly help prevent further vandalism and save us significant time otherwise spent constantly revising the page.

Thank you very much for your time and assistance. ZypheriZ (talk) 14:23, 8 November 2025 (UTC)[reply]

Hi ZypheriZ, I have reverted this morning's edits, as per WP:CT/SA, you need to be an Extended confirmed editor to edit that page, which the IP wasn't, as IPs cannot be Extended confirmed.
As I am not an admin, I cannot add protection, although it can be requested - however, I am prone to wait to see if there is further disruption, if so, I will request full Extended confirmed protection. Best wishes - Arjayay (talk) 15:16, 8 November 2025 (UTC)[reply]
Thank you Arjayay for reverting those edits, it makes sense to monitor the page for further disruption before requesting extended confirmed protection again. I truly appreciate your help in maintaining the accuracy and integrity of the article, Best wishes. ZypheriZ (talk) 15:35, 8 November 2025 (UTC)[reply]

Silver Wolf scout award

[edit]

Hello, I've just edited the list of receipts of the Silver Wolf award for the Scouts, I added Peter Mower of 32nd Ipswich Scouts who received this award in September 2025 but the edit has been removed by yourself for being unsourced. What evidence do you need to see? ~2025-31884-67 (talk) 21:45, 8 November 2025 (UTC)[reply]

A published, reliable source where the information can be checked, both now, and in the future. - Arjayay (talk) 21:48, 8 November 2025 (UTC)[reply]
