Tamara Gustavson article updates
[edit]Hello. I have a personal connection to Tamara Gustavson, and have requested a few updates to the article about her on the Talk Page Talk:Tamara Gustavson#Requested Edit Review. I’ve declared my conflict-of-interest and carefully reviewed the policy. Is an editor from this group available to review the requests for me? Thanks.Wiki64gus (talk) 16:38, 2 September 2022 (UTC)
Carla Vernón
[edit]Carla Vernón is my sister. We believe that she may be the first CEO of a publicly traded U.S. company who claims to be Afro-Latina when she assumes that role for The Honest Company on January 9. However, claiming multicultural heritage is becoming more common. Once upon a time cookie cutter forms made one choose between claiming to be Afro-American and Latinx. Thus, it may be the case that in past women of color who have been CEOs of publicly traded U.S. companies may have claimed only one, but might now identify as or would now be identified as Afro-Latina. It is also the case that people who were assigned male at birth are now more freely identifying as female. We have yet to identify a person of color who precedes my sister as an Afro-Latina CEO of a publicly traded U.S. company. If anyone can point us to one, we would be honored to recognize the path that they have blazed for my sister and others.--TonyTheTiger (T / C / WP:FOUR / WP:CHICAGO / WP:WAWARD) 21:45, 20 December 2022 (UTC)
Edits to Baroness Joanna Shields page
[edit]My name is Laura and I work for Joanna Shields, Baroness Shields, a baron, businessperson, and former British politician. The page about her was recently tagged for COI and advert issues due to some poor edits made years ago. I posted here regarding my desire to address the substance of the tags with a re-write or heavy trims, to remove the promotional content. I was hoping you might be willing to chime in on the proposed trims and/or the suggestion for a rewrite. Let me know. Best regards.~~~~ LauTad89 (talk) 16:06, 6 October 2023 (UTC)
Deborah Oppenheimer
[edit]I came across Deborah Oppenheimer via WP:THQ#Added biographical data that was removed. I've done some rudimentry cleanup and trimming, added some citations, but there's still probably lots more that can be done. I'm hoping that someone from this WikiProject might be able to help split up to lead into body sections and perhaps add more about the subject life. -- Marchjuly (talk) 07:18, 1 December 2023 (UTC)

Anne Finucane's biography
[edit]Hello! I have submitted a request to update the article about American banker Anne Finucane, who has retired from the vice chair role at Bank of America and taken on other responsibilities. Here is a link to my first request. Are any WikiProject Women in Business editors able to take a look and update her page for me? Thank you! KMBrightSide (talk) 18:48, 28 May 2024 (UTC)
Updates to Sukhinder Singh Cassidy page
[edit]Hi editors, I have put through a request on Sukhinder Singh Cassidy's talk page to bring it up to date last month. While no edits were made, an editor added a banner to the page stating issues with a lack of references for many existing claims. This is fair as there were many old links to pages which no longer existed etc. Since then, I have gone through and checked all the claims and their references, updated what I could find existing references for and deleted claims for which I couldn't find a reference. I've also uploaded a more recent photo (in line with Wikipedia requirements) (existing one is from 2009). Due to the number of references I thought it was easiest to redraft the article which is in my sandbox. Is someone able to please take a look and publish this updated article please? I have a conflict of interest as I'm employed by Xero, of which Sukhinder is CEO, so I don't make edits to her page myself. Thanks in advance JT at Xero (talk) 02:31, 24 July 2024 (UTC)
Nina L. Diaz reqeust
[edit]Hi editors, as part of my work for Beutler Ink, I've made a request to update and expand the Career section of the Nina L. Diaz article that might be of interest to folks here. Many thanks for any feedback you can offer. Cheers, BINK Robin (talk) 18:32, 6 August 2024 (UTC)
Lorraine Twohill
[edit]Hi! Alana here, representing Google and trying to submit a few requests related to the company here on Wikipedia. I am familiar enough with Wikipedia's conflict of interest rules to know that I should let others review my suggestions and not edit the articles myself. Over at Talk:Lorraine Twohill, I submitted a request to update the "Early life" section for Lorraine Twohill using Template:Edit COI. I was told to "go ahead and make the suggested changes", even though I've said I would prefer not to edit the page myself. Are any editors here willing to take a look and update her biography for me?
Thanks for any help in advance, GoogleAB (talk) 16:55, 14 November 2024 (UTC)

Good article reassessment for Eilley Bowers
[edit]Eilley Bowers has been nominated for a good article reassessment. If you are interested in the discussion, please participate by adding your comments to the reassessment page. The article Roberta Hoskie has been proposed for deletion because of the following concern:
Doesn't meet Wikipedia's notability guideline for biographies. The content is promotional.
While all constructive contributions to Wikipedia are appreciated, pages may be deleted for any of several reasons.
You may prevent the proposed deletion by removing the {{proposed deletion/dated}} notice, but please explain why in your edit summary or on the article's talk page.
Please consider improving the page to address the issues raised. Removing {{proposed deletion/dated}} will stop the proposed deletion process, but other deletion processes exist. In particular, the speedy deletion process can result in deletion without discussion, and articles for deletion allows discussion to reach consensus for deletion. Kayali draft
[edit]On behalf of Kayali, I have created a draft about the company at Draft:Kayali (company). The business was co-founded by Huda Kattan and Mona Kattan under Huda Beauty, but is now independent. I am currently seeking feedback from editors, if any WikiProject Women in business members are interested in reviewing, contributing to Talk page discussions, or otherwise making content improvements. Thanks! Inkian Jason (talk) 15:42, 18 August 2025 (UTC)
Women in Green's 9th edit-a-thon
[edit]
Hello WikiProject Women in Business:
WikiProject Women in Green is holding a month-long Good Article Editathon event in October 2025!
Running from October 1 to 31, 2025, WikiProject Women in Green (WiG) is hosting a Good Article (GA) editathon event with the theme What Women Do! All experience levels welcome. Never worked on a GA project before? We'll teach you how to get started. Or maybe you're an old hand at GAs – we'd love to have you involved! Participants are invited to work on nominating and/or reviewing GA submissions related to women and women's works (e.g., books, films) during the event period. We hope to collectively cover article subjects from at least 31 different occupations or professions (or broader roles in society) by month's end. GA resources and one-on-one support will be provided by experienced GA editors, and participants will have the opportunity to earn a special WiG barnstar for their efforts.
We hope to see you there!
Seeking feedback on Mary Okelo
[edit]Hi there! This isn't my usual area, but I just created an article for Kenyan businesswoman Mary Okelo and wanted to ask for feedback. I do not usually work on BLPs or business related articles, so I would really appreciate input from editors more experienced in this topic. Doreen Granpeesheh
[edit]Doreen Granpeesheh’s biography and impact exceed what one would expect from a "low-importance" woman in business. She comes from a politically significant Iranian family: her father served as an adviser to the Ministry of Finance before the fall of the Shah, and her mother held the rank of major in the Shah’s army. During the Islamic Revolution her parents sent her alone to Los Angeles in 1978, where she completed high school and entered UCLA at 16, an uncommon and historically interesting trajectory for a business leader.
Granpeesheh became an early and prominent proponent of applied behavior analysis (ABA) and early intensive behavioral intervention (EIBI) for autistic children, helping move these from niche practices to the default, often effectively the only, form of autism treatment covered by mainstream insurance. In doing so, she helped shape how autism ABA services are provided and delivered. The business built around this work has reportedly made her one of the world’s wealthier businesswomen, with Forbes rankings around 89th among women and a net worth in excess of $300 million.
This is not a routine entrepreneurial story: it sits at the intersection of modern Iranian history, emigration, the evolution of autism treatment, and the economics of hedge-fund-backed health care. Her story has it's share of controversy and criticism too. Taken together, her background, influence, and financial footprint strongly suggest that her biography merits a higher importance rating and more sustained editorial attention. I hope more editors will take an interest and help develop the article. Also, FYI - the article is currently getting a Talk page " Request for Update" from the BLP subject.
