New WikiProject.
[edit]Hello!
I propose a WikiProject with the working title of Art & Architecture Copyedits.
The proposed WikiProject has two main goals:
- To copyedit any articles related to Art & Architecture that have the copyedit or clarify tag, and
- To create a supportive, welcoming space for newcomers. Experienced editors are also very appreciated, especially for the proposal process, but the WikiProject, once created, will mainly be recruiting newcomers.
If you would like to join, please do comment below, and I'll ping you during the proposal to confirm your intent. I will be posting this message on all related WikiProjects. All experience levels appreciated! 22ManzanaBoy (talk) 12:50, 15 July 2025 (UTC)
- We already have Wikipedia:WikiProject Architecture and Wikipedia:Visual arts so I'm not entirely sure how Art & Architecture Copyedits would do anything different to what the existing projects are doing. Sionk (talk) 12:59, 21 September 2025 (UTC)
A new editor's draft
[edit]Hi, Dpatrick100 is a newer editor that has been working on Draft:Vincent A Lynch. The draft is better than it was but it's still somewhat promotional and keeps getting rejected at AfC. I'm not used to writing much about art but maybe someone here would be able to be more helpful? Clovermossđ (talk) 10:01, 26 July 2025 (UTC)
- Thank you Clovermoss... I really appreciate any guidance you have. ďżź
- Iâve written pieces and a technical book for non-technical and C-suite readers; while straightforward technical writing is my strength, encyclopedic style isnât yet in my wheelhouse, so Iâd appreciate clear guidance or a style sheet.
- Thanks Dpatrick100 (talk) 15:40, 21 August 2025 (UTC)
Article about the artist
[edit]Hello everyone,
I created an article about the Ukrainian artist David Chichkan. I would appreciate it if someone had the time to review this. The artist was part of the Ukrainian artistic field and recently died in the war. I am convinced that this author deserves to be a part of Wiki Arts.
Thanks for your time! Anonymous-anonym (talk) 13:07, 31 August 2025 (UTC)
Is it appropriate to list all an artists' exhibitions? Nina Murashkina
[edit]Also, is this a reliable source?[1] Thanks. Doug Weller talk 15:20, 10 September 2025 (UTC)
Request for review of Draft:Muhammad Ali artist
[edit]Hi WikiProject Art members,
I have created a draft about Syrian visual artist based in Sweden Muhammad Ali (Draft:Muhammad Ali artist) for Articles for Creation. The draft is written neutrally and includes multiple independent, reliable sources from newspapers, art journals, and museum collections.
I would greatly appreciate any guidance, feedback, or suggestions to improve the draftâs chances of acceptance. Here is the link to the draft for review: https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Draft:Muhammad_Ali_artist
Thank you very much for your time and assistance! Muhammad ali artist (talk) 21:40, 29 September 2025 (UTC)
