Test Edit
[edit]Hi there. I saw your edit at Paula Toledo and that it was reverted by ClueBot. If you want to create an article about he subject, you would create a draft and then submit it. However in this case, I’m not sure that the subject would meet WP:NOTABILITY guidelines so check these carefully before starting any articles. ScrabbleTiles (talk) 12:12, 9 March 2025 (UTC)

Paula Toledo
[edit]First, learn the difference between reliable sourcing that supports notability and primary sourcing that does not.
For example, you do not demonstrate a person's notability as a businesswoman by sourcing the content to the self-published website of her own company or her own LinkedIn résumé — you demonstrate a person's notability by sourcing the content to WP:GNG-worthy coverage about her and her work in media. And you don't make a person notable for giving a TEDx talk by sourcing that statement to a YouTube video of that talk, you make a person notable for giving a TEDx talk by sourcing that statement to media coverage that reported on her talk as newsworthy.
The notability test isn't "she did stuff", it's "she has had the stuff she did externally validated as significant by people who were not being paid to promote her" — so the notability test doesn't hinge on using her own self-published web presence to verify facts, it hinges on showing that said facts have made her the subject of a significant volume and depth (i.e. a lot more than just one piece) of media coverage.
But the article you were trying to create was based almost entirely on primary sources that are not support for notability, with the only citation to a GNG-worthy media outlet being a dead link that led to an error page instead of a piece of content about Paula Toledo, so you simply haven't properly demonstrated that she would pass our notability criteria at all.
Also, we have conflict of interest rules here. Paula Toledo is not entitled to personally decree that she gets to have a Wikipedia article — the question of whether she gets an article or not will be decided by our rules around article content and sourcing, not by her own personal desires, because we do not exist as a venue for people to personally promote themselves.
If you want to try doing better, with proper WP:GNG-worthy media coverage to properly establish her notability, you're free to work on it through the WP:AFC process — but because you're being directly paid by the subject to write an article about her, you're not entitled to bypass AFC review. Work on it in draft and submit it for review, and then it can get moved into mainspace as an article by a more established editor if it's good enough, but neither you nor Paula Toledo are entitled to demand an article about her that isn't complying with our content and sourcing standards.
