This user is asking that their block be reviewed:

RootedInPaul (block logactive blocksglobal blockscontribsdeleted contribsfilter logcreation logchange block settingsunblockcheckuser (log))

Request reason:

I disclosed my conflict of interest and attempted to draft an article in good faith. I now understand that creating articles about myself or my business is discouraged. I would like to request that my account be unblocked so that I may continue contributing to other articles without editing anything related to Rooted In. RootedInPaul (talk) 11:46, 5 September 2025 (UTC)[reply]

Notes:

 • In some cases, you may not in fact be blocked, or your block has already expired. Please check the list of active blocks. If no block is listed, then you have been autoblocked by the automated anti-vandalism systems. Please remove this request and follow these instructions instead for quick attention by an administrator.
 • Please read our guide to appealing blocks to make sure that your unblock request will help your case. You may change your request at any time.
Administrator use only:

If you ask the blocking administrator to comment on this request, replace this template with the following, replacing "blocking administrator" with the name of the blocking admin:

If you decline the unblock request, replace this template with the following code, substituting with a specific rationale. Leaving the decline reason unchanged will result in display of a default reason, explaining why the request was declined.

If you accept the unblock request, replace this template with the following, substituting Accept reason here with your rationale:

{{unblock reviewed |1=I disclosed my conflict of interest and attempted to draft an article in good faith. I now understand that creating articles about myself or my business is discouraged. I would like to request that my account be unblocked so that I may continue contributing to other articles without editing anything related to Rooted In. What topics might you edit about? 331dot (talk) 08:37, 6 September 2025 (UTC)[reply]

Given that you do not currently have a user page, I'm guessing your disclosed your COI on the draft article. Please note that Wikipedia's payment disclosure policy is more extensive than the guidelines on editing with a conflict of interest. Thank you for commenting on this. I'm so confused with this platform. I am the owner of the business (Rooted In) that I'm trying to create the Wiki page for. I don't fall in either description for Paid Contributions. How else can I get my business' page submitted? Thanks again! RootedInPaul (talk) 03:13, 15 September 2025 (UTC)[reply]
Wikipedia is not a business directory, so a company is not entitled to have a Wikipedia article just because it exists. All topics must be notable by Wikipedia's definition to merit inclusion. In the specific case of a company, it must meet the notability criteria for companies and organizations. For this to happen, the company must have already received significant coverage in multiple reliable and independent sources. We have no interest in what a company wishes to say about itself, as this is an inherent conflict of interest. --Drm310 🍁 (talk) 03:40, 15 September 2025 (UTC)[reply]
