Information icon Please do not add promotional material to Wikipedia, as you did to Torsion spring. While objective prose about beliefs, organisations, people, products or services is acceptable, Wikipedia is not a vehicle for soapboxing, advertising or promotion. Thank you. Andy Dingley (talk) 17:09, 15 October 2025 (UTC)[reply]

Hi Andy, thank you for the feedback. I understand the concern about promotional tone — that wasn’t my intention.
The reference to Ace Wire Spring & Form Co., Inc. in the Torsion spring article was meant to illustrate a historical and technical example of U.S. spring manufacturing, not for advertising. I’ll make sure any future edits remain strictly encyclopedic and fully neutral, and I’ll focus on citing independent sources rather than company materials.
Appreciate your time and clarification. Ritchy1125 (talk) 17:18, 15 October 2025 (UTC)[reply]

Information icon Hello, I'm Trainsandotherthings. I wanted to let you know that one or more of your recent contributions to GE Transportation have been undone because they appeared to be promotional. Advertising and using Wikipedia as a "soapbox" are against Wikipedia policy and not permitted; Wikipedia articles should be written objectively, using independent sources, and from a neutral perspective. Take a look at the welcome page to learn more about Wikipedia. Language like "positioning itself as a leader in sustainable freight and industrial propulsion technologies" is corporate speak unfit for an encyclopedia. See WP:NPOV.
