[edit] Please do not add promotional material to Wikipedia. While objective prose about beliefs, organisations, people, products or services is acceptable, Wikipedia is not a vehicle for soapboxing, advertising or promotion. Thank you. Jimfbleak - talk to me? 12:43, 13 May 2025 (UTC)
- I followed all guidelines this page is a statement of facts around a tourist attraction in Stratford, and follows the same guidelines as other companies and distilleries PMShakespeare (talk) 14:20, 13 May 2025 (UTC)
Please stop. If you continue to add promotional or advertising material to Wikipedia, as you did at Stratford-upon-Avon, you may be blocked from editing. Theroadislong (talk) 15:33, 13 May 2025 (UTC)

[edit]I'm going away for a few days, and when I return, I'll explain in detail why your article isn't acceptable. Please wait. If you recreate before then, I'll indefinitely block this account. I also think that your current disclosure (which has stopped you being blocked immediately) should be replaced by a paid-editor declaration. Jimfbleak - talk to me? 15:32, 13 May 2025 (UTC)
- I have requested an editor have a look at a draft as is suggested. PMShakespeare (talk) 15:40, 13 May 2025 (UTC)

Request reason:
This has been an unfair process and totally one sided, I am here to build knowledge of Stratford upon avon and Warwickshire for the good of all
Decline reason:
This isn't a valid appeal, as it doesn't in any way address the block reason. Please see WP:GAB before appealing again (if at all). DoubleGrazing (talk) 16:35, 13 May 2025 (UTC)
If you want to make any further unblock requests, please read the guide to appealing blocks first, then use the {{unblock}} template again. If you make too many unconvincing or disruptive unblock requests, you may be prevented from editing this page until your block has expired. Do not remove this unblock review while you are blocked.

Please help me with... I have been blocked and want to get advice from creators as to drafting a page, as I feel I have been attacked by a couple of specific users - I am not here to advertise, I want to state facts about my town, as have other attractions and towns folk. PMShakespeare (talk) 15:56, 13 May 2025 (UTC)
- I gather you work for or with this distillery that you're writing about, is that the case?
- You have not been "attacked" by anyone, you have been prevented from promoting the distillery. Any sort of promotion is not allowed on Wikipedia. -- DoubleGrazing (talk) 16:05, 13 May 2025 (UTC)
- I simply stated facts in the draft article and it was neutral in tone and backed by plenty of reputable citations. I am not sure what else I could have done tbh as I declared COI as per guidelines. 2A01:4B00:E602:D900:8C9:E3EA:F4F0:6DC3 (talk) 16:21, 13 May 2025 (UTC)
- (Please log into your account whenever editing. I can only assume, but don't know, that you're PMShakespeare.)
- If you work for or with this distillery, you needed to make the more specific paid-editing disclosure ({{paid}}), not just the generic COI one.
- In any case, having made a disclosure does not give you carte blanche to promote the subject as you wish. Repeatedly adding the distillery to the Stratford article was not appropriate. And while you may think the draft and article you created were neutral and factual, they were pretty much pure promotion.
- I'm sorry that you've had a frustrating experience, but I'm afraid you've largely caused it yourself by breaking a number of cardinal rules of Wikipedia editing. -- DoubleGrazing (talk) 16:33, 13 May 2025 (UTC)
